Renting an Illegal Place

  • The plaintiff rented an apartment from the defendant, got into an accident, and ended up in the hospital. When the plaintiff got back to the apartment, he says the sink and tub were missing, so he is suing to get his rent back. The defendant insists this is a bogus case, and the plaintiff stopped paying rent anyway, so he evicted him.

@@mamathemeat if you are 50 years old you still didn't live through the severe and more extreme "legal" racism which ended in the early 1960s. A 70 year old for instance can tell you about real racism. So leads me back to my original comment being 50 has nothing to do with it. If you are 5O you mainly grew up in the 1980s and even the 1990s. there isnt any significance difference between racism levels in the 1980s vs today. In other words A 25 year old in America today and a 5o year old experienced just about the same level of racism in their lifetime. No difference

@@user-re6gq2fy8z I am just calling out the bullshit in his comment that he is 50 and he experienced real racism. No 50 year old in America has experienced "real racism" you would have to be at least 65 to 70 years old to have experienced REAL Legal RACISM in America. A 50 year old grew up in the 1980s. What real racism was happening then? I made this same argument on a post where some 40 year old dude said he experienced "real racism"

Yes!! How is the judge not picking up on that? I wonder if the accident is the cause.

Trying to play the race card at the end was crazy. I’m black and even I was like boy please 🙄 he had 4 years living there he knew what was going on

I was wondering when the race card would be played. “One of the perils of living in America today “ both are scoundrels.

Plaintiff: "Well I didn't really get a chance to prove my case...and just another one of the perils of being who I am in America." LOL geez this guy's. What he meant was the judge saw through me and saw saw exactly who I was...another American trying to get rich off the misfortune of others. And he also meant maybe if I keep talking I can convince her I didn't know despite all the evidence in my face that this place wasnt supposed to be rented or she'll fall for my charm or she'll side with me just so I'll shut up.
Missing all these items but it's a deal is way more believable... vs I'm paying rent and my LL will eventually get to the plumbing but hey he gave me gym membership so that I can bath. JM very cleary explained you can't be a landlord and complain to get back rent for an illegal rental and you can't be an illegal renter and get all your money back whether you knew it or not. But this is America and people will on both sides try to any way😔🤷‍♀️🙄

Another eternal victim and racist from the community. Mentioned his accident, which is irrelevant to the case multiple times and then blames the ruling on the by e color of his skin. As I once heard a cop say, “it must be nice having a built in excuse for poor behavior”!

The plaintiff has to be stupid. Seriously he knew he couldn't "live" there yet continued to live there. Paid 250 a month, then has the nerve to sue for all his rent back over the years and complaining that it's illegal apartment but he is still there even after an eviction is filed! Wow. It's his own fault, he did it to himself, yet wants someone else to pay him. 🙄

The shocking part is that the plaintiff made it a whole 2 years in Los Angeles without getting into a car accident. He must be really lucky or drove about 100 miles a year.

When people lie their mouth gets really dry, the plaintiff is talking as if he has a sponge in his mouth.
