- The plaintiff got into an argument with his cousin, and he says the defendant damaged his car with a stick. The windshield cracked, so he’s suing for damages. The defendant argues the plaintiff tried to run her over, so she stopped his car with the stick.

There is something seriously wrong with these 2 cousins. That pastor in training is a perfect example as to why some people are turning from the church. He came across so arrogant and uncaring. He needs prayer.
The plaintiff is trying to act so innocent and “ministery” but is really a clown hiding behind religion.
Oh the drama. Surprised JMM set through all his rambling

@@stephaniewallace2820mace stung gun anything this lady judge ing her like she wouldn't have done the same if she was in fear of her safety and felt the police would not get there in time enough 😅
I think JM should've split that one down the middle or ruled for the Defendant. The Plaintiff was trespassing & clearly came with the intent to harm. The Defendant was defending herself. Family knows your triggers. If the incident happened somewhere else, maybe the defense was excessive BUT when you pull up to my house, I'm standing my ground. The other issue is a cultural one. JM didn't like that the Defendant wasn't acting remorseful; technically, she shouldn't have to. The Plaintiff quite literally went to her house playing silly games and caught a prize he didn't like. They went over there to bully her. They could/should have arranged to have the items dropped/picked up at church, if no harm was intended.
Exactly
How is this a cultural issue? Many judges make rulings based in part on how remorseful the defendant is, I see that often, in much bigger crimes than this one. I don’t necessarily think it makes a lot of sense though. In this case, even if she was in tears, apologizing and saying she felt bad about losing control of herself, that wouldn’t help fix the broken windshields. So no matter how apologetic a defendant may be, JM can’t base the dollar amount awarded on emotional reactions. But I think he should have been held responsible for half. He clearly could not see what was wrong with his behavior and attitude. Now that he won this case he’s going to think that he did nothing wrong. Unless he makes some dramatic changes in his life I pray that he does not become a minister.
@synnove1046 I kinda feel like you asked the question & then answered it yourself. So, do I need to say anything further?🤔 People aren't going to act remorseful when they don't think they've done anything wrong. TBH...this case should have went to the Defendant. The Plaintiff was instructed not to go access the property by the owner (grandmother) so, he was trespassing. He went over with malicious intent. How/why are is testimony being considered from the admitted assailant? The only reason she ruled the way she did was because the Defendant wasn't acting weak & teary-eyed.
None of the issues were cultural. You are so mixed up. He was being a street thug and got what was coming him , looking for trouble, trying to run her over.
@trekgirl65 That's exactly the point. He shouldn't have win the case, his actions got his window broke. I said cultural because the judge wasn't focused on the guy claimed to be a pastor-apprentice acting like a street thug. She had bias because the Defendant came to court in religious clothes, defended herself from the 2 ton girl & wasn't kissing the judges posterior.
The defendant is genuinely hurt. I wish the best for her. The plaintiff is full of it.
One time at my church we couldn't find the cord for the coffee percolator and it was Sunday morning. The church ladies scrambled to find it but one ran home quick and grabbed her cord and saved the day so we could have coffee. When they cleaned up, they found the cord. It was in the percolator so they ended up brewing the cord and everyone drank it.
Oh wow 😂😂😂

It never surprises me how society has become so petty and butt hurt about, when most of the time they themselves caused 🤨
Both the plaintiff AND the defendant AND their friends are a MESS! How can they act like all of this is no big deal! If this is how they act even though they’re active in their church, how would they behave if they weren’t involved in it?
I do think the plaintiff should’ve been held partially responsible for the cost of repairs because he encouraged the fighting and he didn’t just leave when he could have.
Also, since when does anyone refer to a joint as a stick?
So does no one wonder that the situation he brought into her is the reason she lost the baby? Not saying she isn’t wrong, but so is he for keeping the problem going and causing more problems than needed.
They are cousins.
Tbh I actually believe her about the stick. I would even believe her even if she hit the back window with the stick still in her hand. He had no reason to reverse at her. They all behaved badly. And what is a dude hanging around with women like that. Is he gay? Because that's not what a straight black man would be doing.
A Baptist that wears a headdress? Kinda weird!
headdress?
Why? She’s free to wear what she pleases. Baptist don’t have a dress code.
What in the world are you even saying 😂😂😂😂
Women of the Bible wear head wraps.
They’re all behaving exactly the way they were raised to behave and church is just a building not a changed heart.
"I threw whatever I had in my hand." ...thank goodness she wasn't holding a baby.
FACT: If you're going to be telling everyone about the huge fight you were in with whomever, the first thing you don't want to do is tell about how religious you are. That's a bad reputation, not only for yourself, but also (to an extent) for your church family. If you really want others to think you're all grown up, ACT LIKE IT‼️
I don't believe she was ever pregnant.
Soon as the plaintiff started talking I thought “Hmm… this one has a little sweetness to it” he’s messy and drama filled and we all know God don’t bless no mess smh
I’ve never heard a lady wearing a hijab speak like this woman. Modesty, morality, etc. and he shouldn’t be leading anyone in church.

I don't know, he's an instigator that riles up a bunch of angry people. Seems like he's on track to become a Baptist minister
For any woman that has lost a pregnancy….we remember exactly when and how it happened. I am doubtful she was ever pregnant.
U wrong. I did and I be forgetting sometimes
Definitely not pregnant just wanted her trick to leave the other girl and play daddy
Or it could still be too painful to talk about. But, I'm pretty sure it was more about the Plaintiff trying to present her as a bad person.
Did everyone forget the part about her wanting to go get some weed 🤔 If by some chance she was pregnant, then she was extremely irresponsible, so some things are for the best 🤷🏾♂️

She needs to be back in anger management
Yes, everybody sins, and all sins are equal. Also anything can be forgiven by God. But we are supposed to make a true effort not to sin, not just use God’s forgiveness as an excuse. Fortunately we humans aren’t going to make the actual judgement, and God always knows what is in our hearts.
The “minister” is a damn clown. The whole situation was messy and they all behaved like fools.
Preacher looks like a young Sly Stone, so I can relate to him smoking weed and misbehaving in court.
Church doesn't seem like it's doing much for any of them.
I dont think the full amount should fall on her. For her own cousin to show up with 2 cars full of people and make like she attacked them is just vile. Too bad she didnt have the maturity to stay in the house and call the police on them all. One day she will learn you dont have to fight every time you're invited. Anger issues or not, i feel like the cousin and his friends got what they were looking for and she should've dismissed it.
If Doug gone do anything, he gone comment on some hair, especially Black hair 😂😂😂
This is an uneducated family! Love the judge!
Y’all could’ve told this entire story WITHOUT saying anything about church. 🙄
So true! And then there would be a lot fewer comments.
These folks need to make better choices on what Judge they go before. Judge Judy or Judge Mathis would've dismissed him for instigating going to somebody house and Judge Mathis would've gave her emotional distress. Plus her saying she lost her child shortly after she would've got the max. Plus he perjured himself acting like he went to hang out.
But JJ most like would’ve given nothing to either one!
This is the worst storytelling drama ever.
The judge made the comment about the plaintiff should be ashamed of himself since he’s hoping to become a minister, unfortunately the way the world is these days he’s gonna fit right in with these false prophets!!! We’re living in a world where you can’t even trust a “man of the cloth”!!😒
