- Maayung adlaw sa inyo nga tanan! Today's video, we will take for a first and exclusive in depth look of the all-new 2023 Nissan Kicks, which is now finally launched here in the Philippines. The Nissan Kicks has been around since 2016, and in the year 2020, the e-Power version of the Kicks was revealed. In the era of the 21st century, electrification is now on progress in its popularity to the automotive industry across the globe. With that, Nissan has delivered a new sets of innovative technology that will kick off the Philippine roads through it very unique powertrain called the e-Power, which saves a lot of money, and helping the environment at the same time. Is the all-new Nissan Kicks will be the new face of hybrid electric vehicle in the country? Let's find out. Out of the three variants of the Nissan Kicks in the Philippines, the topping range VL variant will be the focus in this video. The Nissan Kicks is powered with a newest technology of Nissan, the e-Power technology powertrain which comprises of a 1.2-liter naturally aspirated gasoline engine and a 349 Volt AC Synchronous Electric Motor with 134hp and 280Nm, mated to a Single-Speed automatic gearbox. The aim of this video is to cover the start-up sequence, exterior and interior walkaround, and we will talk about its technology, safety, and benefits.

Question po. How long is the battery life and how much would be the replacement cost? And another thing, is the electric motor water proof? Can it take a slight gutter deep flooding w/o damaging it?
According to my research EV batteries will lose about 20% capacity in 10 years. Nissan provides 10 year warranty for unlimited range in conjunction with the petrol engine. I guess they are fairly safe with that. The battery is tiny, only 2kwh compared to 54 kwh in an electric only Tesla 3. It basically relies on the petrol generator to keep it constantly charged. As such, the electric only range is probably only 5 to 10km. However, the small battery would mean any future replacement is likely to be at a more reasonable price than the big batteries in some other cars.

The Kicks is a nice car that drives well and is a bargain price. The all electric drive is much nicer than the plethora of underpowered 1.5l petrol engines currently on the market. It is also nicely loaded with safety features. The only downsides we have noticed is the very small wing mirrors and slightly higher than normal in car noise at highway speeds. I would prefer it if the EV battery wasn't so tinyl (around 2KW/h), allowing it to drive further than its 5 to 10km in electric only mode. It would also be nice if it had a plug in charge mode to go with the bigger battery.

5:30-- just to confirm...it has 360-degree camera (only rear)? other reviews say it doesn't have. or maybe only in the top spec variant?
Just to make it clear sir that the top-spec VL variant is the only variant having a 360 degree camera, while the mid-range VE has a reverse camera and the base EL is the only variant that doesn't equipped with reverse camera.
