I just want to say that this is most comprehensive video I have seen on this topic. Thank you so much for really explaining how the bike fits onto the trainer.
Hi CT. Thank you so very much! We are so glad it was helpful. Please contact us with any questions. You can always contact us via www.conquerequipment.com/
I am new to the cycling community and I recently bought a bike and mag. trainer. I didn't really understand the instructions that came with it so, I decided to check CZcams and found your channel. Thanks for such a detailed demonstration on setting up the trainer. I am not mechanical at all and I was able to set it up in less than thirty minutes and started riding, I Love it! I would like to buy some tools so I can do some of the routine maintenance myself to save a little money. Do have any suggestions? Any advice you can give me will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks for watching! No, the skewer that comes with the trainer is not made for street riding. Definitely switch to your bike's original skewer for street riding.
Great video. My bike doesnt have a skewer. So can i still connect this thing to my bike? Please help. Thank you. I didnt kno i needed a skewer thingy otherwise i wuda checked my bike b4 i ordered it. Uhhh live & learn ey. Lol
Hey, guys! Which of your bikes is featured in this demonstration? I just got the conquer trainer, and none of my older bikes are compatible. I need a new one, anyway, and the one in the vid seems pretty sleek.
We have a new part, a 'trainer cup' that may allow you to use a bike without a rear quick release on the trainer. If you reach out to us - customercare@conquerequipment.com we can send one let you know what is involved in getting one for a nominal charge.
Matt K, if you don't have a skewer, we sell an adapter cup that works for a lot of model bikes. However, a 29er will not fit our trainer, so please do not purchase with that bike in mind as it will not work. Our trainer fits 26", 27" and bikes w/ 700C tires. Thank you for your inquiry.
ConquerEquipment thanks for the response. I read somewhere that I could just buy 700c road tires and swap them and it’s work just fine? Can you confirm? Thanks again,
That's a great question. You 'should' be able to replace the tires w/ 700C on most 29ers. The new road tires will be less wide and high (maybe an inch difference), and if they work please let us know. We'd love to know if it works out. Thanks!
If they don't have a quick release we sell an adapter cup that fits many bike models. You can buy it here: www.roadbikeoutlet.com/conquer-bike-trainer-adapater-for-bikes-with-no-quick-release.html
The trainer will fit most standard sized tires, including some wider tires for hybrids, but it is unlikely that it will fit a true fat tire due to the diameter. I am sorry.

Thank you.
I'd suggest going to your local bike shop, tell them what you'd like to work on and they can sell the tools to you.
Very good video, thank you.
Thank you. We are glad you enjoyed it.
Very helpful, thanks!
Is the Skewer that comes with this safe for street riding, or should you swap your bike's skewer back in?

@@conquerequipment GTK - thanks!

@Sean Nasri You don't need the skewer. I just removed the screws from the back wheel, and placed the pegs into the trainer. It feels very secure.

A road bike with a quick release is featured. I believe it is the Vilano Shadow.
Same problem here , now I need a new bike would have been cheaper to buy a stationary bike.

What if my bike doesn’t have a skewer? I have a cheaper 200 dollar huffy bantam 29er and I have to use a ratchet to remove the back wheel.

would i be able to use this with a bike with disc brakes?
Yes, as long as the bike fit the specifications of: rear quick release and the tires are: 26 in., 27 in. or 700c
so the bike has to have a quick release??

Wil the trainer work w/fattire bikes......?

Does the stand wobble at all?
Hi Watson, if used as directed it does not wobble. I would suggest putting it on a rubber mat to aid in stability and the floor needs to be level.
ConquerEquipment gotcha. thanks
You are most welcome. Please let us know if we can be of further assistance. Enjoy!
