So I tried this and put my top spacer below the handle bar to make the bar higher. It was easy then my problem is aligning my wheel and handle bar straight. Took me more than 30 mins to do that. LMAO Great video by the way.
After taking off my Fox 34 shock and putting on a DIY Carbon Bike rigid carbon fork, the geometry changed, and the bike feels quicker, but less secure in the corners. While nothing can change this, I feel more secure by moving my seat back, and raising the bar. Was going to get a riser bar, but this stem swap eliminates the need to purchase that. Thanks Jeff for the video.
I'm thrilled to hear that it worked for you. Thank you for watching. Please be careful with your new swap. If it does not feel secure, perhaps you should take it to a bike mechanic for assistance. We never suggest riding a bike if it does not feel secure.
The scratches you just put it on that expensive stem is the exact reason why I wouldn't let anybody else touch my bike… I ain't going to a bike shop I'll install it myself lol
This bike was really easy to assemble czcams.com/users/postUgkxMesz3KOGEmwmvyKQfLfrRSUXLFzfVHZA and required very few adjustments out of the box. The wheels did not require any truing/adjustments. The frame had some small scratches, but nothing major.I did replace the seat though - the seat it came with was very uncomfortable. The tires need to be re-inflated every 4-5 days, but this appears to be quite common for the narrow 700x25 tires.Overall, in my opinion, this bike looks and rides like a much more expensive bike.
For something like this, I would highly recommend going to your local bike shop for assistance. They will be your best resource. Thank you for watching.
I have four spacers below and it’s already in positive position. Is there anyway to increase the height still. Need my handle bar a little bit more up.
Hi Ryan, this does not work with all bikes (unfortunately). As it's not flush, you should switch it back and not ride it until it's fixed. You may want to take to your local bike mechanic to see if they have any suggestions. I always recommend a local bike shop for regular safety inspections, and regular tuning, etc. I'm sorry it did not work for you.
Hi Hilda. If you have a new bike, the handlebars are flipped to fit in the box. Reverse them and be careful w/ the cables. If you have an older bike, you can follow these instructions but in reverse. If you have additional questions, please feel free to email us - customercare@vilanobikes.com. We will be happy to help.

@@vincentcanong5015 no, it should not break. If you are worried about it breaking, I would get a new stem and have your local bike shop take a look at your bike. We always recommend getting a safety inspection from local bike shops on a very regular basis.

@@metalrain6011 I understand, but bike shops can be super helpful. A bike is a lot like a car, and unless you know what you are doing (which you very well may) we strongly advise customers to go to a shop for regular safety inspections. Thanks for watching our video.

You can mark the center with a small mark or a piece of blue tape.

NOBODY tells why you'd either want the stem up or down. Fail
