To all the people who keep listing "some random sports guy that was in a movie for 3 seconds" just stop. The title says "actors" not someone that was in a movie once.
So I’ve pinned this because I wanted it to come from someone else. I don’t mind putting a sportsman in if he’s done a few films but to name someone who’s famous for doing something other than film that had a part in one film is basically silly. So thank you 🙏
Like Howard Stern?
@@bubsmp I get your point but he’s not a sportsman who did tv for five minutes outside of that
I must no life I watched all the way through.
@@michaelmcgee335 I get a few people saying this 🤣
"The Rifleman" was a series ahead of its time. A single dad raising a son to do right. The chemistry of the father, played by Chuck Connors, and the son was absolute magic. I highly recommend. It's one you can watch with the kids, too. Some comedy, some drama and a lot of the very nicely constructed Chuck Connors.
Sounds great 😌
I met a fellow who was 7’3” and unlike some people that tall he didn’t suffer from gigantism. He said at his height he was taller than most NBA players. At 6’4” I felt like a dwarf standing next to him.
@@Notfiveo0 wow
Yeah - a great dad, who also killed about 154 guys in 5 seasons. Did Mark McCain ever wonder about having a dad who killed more than the plague?????
They had several episodes that featured other widowed fathers with sons.
I'd read before that Sterling Hayden was 6-5. I was waiting for Clint Walker (I thought you were gonna miss him), and then he showed up at 6-6. I hadn't realized he was that tall. Nice video. Thanks for doing the work.
I appreciate that. Thank you 🙏
7'1" Wilt Chamberlain played a villainous warrior and counterpart of Arnold Schwarzenegger in the 1984 film Conan the Destroyer.
He did. I tended to leave sportsmen unless they had done a bunch of films
@@DataWatch. i agree with that, otherwise you would have a list way to long.
7"2" Jabbar was in the movie Game Of Death with Bruce Lee
@@tonylester6820 yes I’m sick of hearing that name as well lol
@@DataWatch. But he was also in, Airplane, and actually did a decent job. Still I understand why he isn't listed.
I had no idea so many actors were this tall, especially some of the older ones.
I was surprised after researching many of these tbh
@@Dora-hi2nw I don’t just google these heights and accept what is written. All the heights are researched by studying photo and video evidence from their peak days. Many of these are listed lower by me then by themselves
@@DataWatch. Conversely a lot of the male actors' heights were billed much higher than their actual height i.e. Tom Cruise and Sly Stallone et al.
@@2painful2watch I think Tom cruise is actually taller than his listed height. Gods honest I think he’s over 5’7
@@pattywolford actually it was both. More than one actor struggled with height issues, including Alan Ladd, Humphrey Bogart etc. Sophia Loren, Ingrid Bergman even Carol Lombard had to pretend to be shorter and she was only 5 foot 6 inches.
Great to see Chuck Connors get a mention. As a kid growing up in the 1960s, he was kind of like the big brother we wished we had: tough, calm, capable but decent. No idea what he was like IRL and don’t really care to know. 👍🏻
Used to see him on tv a lot in the 80s when I was a kid as my old man was always watching his films
I understand he was a nice guy from interviews I've read about him.
Loved the opening sequence of Branded, as he gets stripped of his insignia and booted out of the fort.
I did go and have a look and it appears he was in every way a regular guy and well regarded. Also a tank warfare instructor. A refreshing lack of scandal too.
Excellent video. I always appreciate these interesting comparisons videos. Than you.

This was really well done. This format made it interesting to watch. Thumbs up big time.

I have to say mate. The backdrop is just brilliant 👌
Thanks mate
Absolutely amazed how many of these are over 6ft tall… that’s a lanky bunch for sure… Richard Kiel gave me nightmares back in the day… great work as always mate, nice one 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Thank you 🙏
Lanky is not height, its body proportions. People well over 6ft, can look average on the pics
@@-Ice_Cold- you are right but lanky people tend to be tall
@@DataWatch. Not always. Stocky and build won't look tall, until you come close
@@-Ice_Cold- yes but that’s got nothing to do with lanky people. Stocky people are stocky, they can be any height. Lanky people generally are very tall. Like Peter crouch lol
I never realized the height of some of those big guys at the end. Very impressive
Thanks mate

Thank you! Something a bit different I guess ☺️
I never knew Rock Hudson was so tall! Fun video

My channel is pretty dead these days so I’m hoping lol. I’ve definitely put the work in on this one. Thanks Mike, have a great week 👊
You can safely take off at least an inch from most of those heights. People commonly inflate their height, and even athletes do it.
I'm 6'-2 1/2", and I rarely bump into people taller than me. It's just not that common. Occasionally I'll be in Walmart and members of the local university basketball or volleyball teams will be in shopping at the same time. It's good for me to be around people who are taller than I am, because it lets me know what most people feel like when they are around me. But when I'm near them, I also know that they are in my town, an in my neighborhood because the university hunted them down for their skill, but their height is a major part of their skill.
If I became famous, I'm sure that my agent would tell the world I'm 6'- 3", or maybe 6'-4", because that's what they do.
I’ve taken this into account and listed many of these guys lower than what they claim
@@DataWatch.
Is that right? I applaud you.
I wonder what the actual numbers are.
Anyway, it doesn't really matter, it's all just fluff.
Take care.
@@deezynar yea I did try lol

@@DataWatch. You ' re welcome fantastic DatAWatch 🤩🤩🤩🤩
6.3 is very popular among actors it seems.
Obviously because they are going up in height there are many at 6’3. Think that runs for about the first three to four mins before they start increasing
interesting as always; please use only photos of actors at the peak of their career: Rupert Everett , for instance is unrecognizable. An iconic photos for every actor in line would make a much better video.
You are welcome to try and find full length images for me. I’m having nightmares getting full length images of some of these guys, makes what should be a few days work into a few weeks. Unfortunately 99% of all photos don’t include the bottom half
I suspected that...@@DataWatch.
@@DataWatch. It also doesn't help that "the peak of their career" can mean different things to different people. If you made a list with David McCallum in it, do you show him as he looked when playing "Ducky" on N.C.I.S. or a shot from when he played Illya Kuryaken on The Man From U.N.C.L.E. (which is where I best knew him from)? The two shots wouldn't look like the same person.
@@mastick5106 yea I guess! You think it be easier to get a pic from a guys peak years in acting but that’s not really true. If I used half length pictures I could make this type of video in a quarter of the time
Me encanto su trabajo!! Siempre tengo dudas sobre la real estatura de un actor/actriz en el contexto de las camaras ya sean de cine o TV. Algunos no resultan tan altos como de verdad son.
Thank you and you hit the nail on the head with what you said here!
I read Rock Hudson being 6'5" was actually embarrassed about his height and often just claimed to be 6'4".
Never knew that
Interesting! The ones who look tall on film, like John Cleese, actually are tall.
Yes 😄
……you missed out the late, great Charlton Heston at 6’ 4”………
6’2.5
Ooh, good presentation. But, you left off Costa Ronin, of The Americans and Homeland fame, who is 6'4".
I did. Just a mistake. He is in the original Hollywood actor video at 6’4 like you say
Fun list. A few caught me by surprise. One of my employees os 6’11”. He is constantly bumping his head.
🤣
Kareem Abdul Jabbar was an actor of Airplaine…7,2 feet (218 cm)
I’m well aware. I’m sick of hearing his name 🤣
Crazy how much height Eastwood lost. He can't be any taller than 6'0 flat today
I think he’s less than that now. Average guy loses 1/2 inch from 40/50 and then just increases after 50. By 80 could have easy lost 3/4 inch and by 90 5 inch plus
@@DataWatch. No, no, no i just checked i lost it 1inch. I am 56yo and now i have 187 cm. What a disappointment, inevitable old age. But I am in very good shape to console myself. You kill me man.
@@vladimirkostic9932 it’s ok my friend! Yes I’d say by mid fifties down by one inch.
Let me tell you something….. your health is more important than anything you can imagine. If you got that then you are blessed 😊
Shrinking is definitely a thing. In my 20's I was 188cms, now in my early 60's I'm 186.
@@billcollins6705 the bad news is it will get a lot worse, shrinking only accelerates. Eastwood is a prime example, lost at least four inches for me. It’s even a decent video idea, celebs and their estimated height loss
I always thought the rock was taller, hes gone right down in my estimations now! 😀
He claimed it lol
Hollywood can always cast smaller people as their costars to make them appear bigger.
Howard Stern comes off short on tv. But found out differently today, wow!!!
Haven’t been feeling well so sorry we’re late but here now.
Two five minute ads on this end
Thank you 🙏
In some ways it's depressing. I'm at John Wayne, and I recognized only about 6 actors before him, and another 6 or 7 I've heard of. I attribute this to how poorly Hollywood movies have been made in the last 20 years. And I used to like movies.
Really a shame.
I’m with you because I don’t really watch films. the classic actor video would probably suit you. dunno if you’ve seen it 🤷
I watch a lot of movies and only didn't recognize maybe 3.
*Happy sigh at seeing Jared Padalecki* ❤
No problem 😉
Most of them are giants😲😲😲. I wish I was atleast 5'10😑😑😑😑. Nice video my friend😃❤️

What about Kevin Nash? He was the Russian in The Punisher, and one of the guards in the new Longest Yard movie. I thought he was about 6’8” or 6’10” tall.

I think that’s right yes
I would _not_ have guessed that there would be four guys taller than Richard Kiel on this list (plus one the same height).
lol 😂
Nice that Jeff chandler was in there loved his films ,
I’m glad I included him then
I always thought I was reasonably tall at 5'10" considering my mom is 5' and my dad is 5' 5" but after watching that I feel like I'm a midget...Thank you so much 😄😄👍👍

So both John Cleese and Howard Stern shocked me. It’s funny when you see men that you know are tall….that actually are really tall.
Do you like the change of thumbnail? Seen a couple videos that went big with this basic style
I was in love with Richard Kiel AKA Jaws❤
I’ve not watched tons of films myself, but I do remember as a kid seeing him and Roger Moore go at it
Where's Alan Ritchson. I see him listed as 6'3", but have heard him in an interview says 6'4"... though is Reacher he claims 6'5" (but that is likely because of the books).
I’ve got 6’2 and a half so he’s just short
Btw you should add Chris Pratt hes 6ft 2. Some of the side by sides with Hemsworth though, they look almost the same height.
Yea 6’2 ish, but of course I started at 6’3. He is in some of my other videos
Tom Baker was / is a Hollywood actor? What film?
I think you are aware that are a few of these are not really Hollywood but 2 things. One, people are constantly asking for guys who are not Hollywood so I include them to please people, but then people complain that they’ve never heard of many of them. Unfortunately I have two types of viewer, one that understands, watches and enjoys and the others that nitpick. I could take Hollywood out of the title but if I did nobody would ever see the video. Like I say I’m sure you know how this all works, thanks anyway
I didn't think that there was anyone (actor) taller than Kevin Peter Hall (RIP).
I suppose that’s up for debate lol
I wonder if these guys tell tall tales ...only kidding I hadn't realised so many actors were so tall..
Many of them maybe do tell tales mate! I don’t take any notice of what they say when I make these. I research all the heights personally
Is Michael Rennie dressed in his The Day the Earth Stood Still costume?
I think that’s the one yes

Daniel Cudmore...XMen 2, Twilight movies as Felix is 6'6.

Didn’t know
Were did you find the numbes? As far as i know, Dwayne Johnson and Lee Pace are 1,96, Donald Sutherland is, I believe, 1,93
Dwayne Johnson was billed 6’5 by wwe, he never was that height. I think he claimed 6’4 on his insta but I think 6’3 peak is fairly generous
The Rock is 6'1, 6'2 at most
At only 6 feet myself, I'm beginning to think I'm a shrimp compared to some of the heights a lot of young men reach nowadays.
Taller than me mate
Clint walker was one handsome dude, in any era.kinda forgot Cheyenne.never was really featured or focused on in films, always grouped together with others.

I’m intrigued to know who you thought were the tallest 🤔
How accurate are these heights actors bios was know to add a inch or two
Only some of them! And I don’t think it’s just necessarily because people lie, it’s because I think they can’t actually measure their own height properly. Some others (Dwayne Johnson for instance) have been billed by their companies to be bigger than they actually are, probably to help them appear even more intimidating
We don't actually know how tall Andre was. Maybe 7 foot. Maybe 7 foot 4. Maybe in the middle. Maybe just under 7 feet. I find that fact really odd. Such a well known "giant" and his height remains an object of some conjecture.
I’ve not seen any evidence he was over 7 feet! When you see him with 7’1 wilt chamberlain he’s shorter than him. He only looks 5/6 inches bigger than hulk hogan even at his very peak. I’d love to see something that someone has seen, some sort of picture evidence that suggests otherwise. We all know WWE billed him massively tall like they do all their stars to just make them appear even more intimidating
@@billkikstra2225 it’s a tough one. I think he could have been as high as 7’ peak but I’ve just not seen anything to suggest higher. I know he had back trouble and lost a bit of height but I never saw him towering over hogan by more than 6 inch
