The making of traditional earthen pots is almost a vanished practice in the country. Only a few pockets in the country still produce such earthen pots, and one of them is at Ganga Shahar Gopeshwar Basti Bikaner, Rajasthan, India. For generations, Indian homes were lit by diyas or traditional earthen lamps during Diwali. Potters now complain that customers prefer cheaper electric lighting. The diya activity has now sharply decreased.

After finishing work they make fire all the pots together then let pots cool down take from the sulai thatsit

He patt it with very fine sand let it dry in the sun then bake it in fire for many days once it turn red they cool it down and color on it.
