How can I contact uncle Soh?
Really inspiring to see this man wants to live for his wife and his willpower has taken him through difficult times
God Bless you 🙏
I really want to pat the producers shoulders for realising uncle Soh’s dream. I’m glad they both had a great time there and got a break from their daily hustle bustle of battling the cancer, visit hospital and keeping the food stall open back in Singapore….
May uncle soh have a smooth recuperation and auntie soh to have good business everyday!
This video is from Our Grandparents Story channel last year
My grandfather passed from bone cancer. He was a rather fit old man before the diagnosis- he went jogging often and prepared food at home, watched TV during his free time too. When tragedy struck, he didn't complained nor gave up- he just sort of accepted it quietly, even when myself and his other grandchildren visited him, he was calm and collected- even gave us money for food, I tear up a little everytime remembering this little gesture. On the day of his passing, he was suddenly in great pain but grandpa fought hard- his soft grunts and calm composure kept us from falling into hopelessness. I wished he had talked and shared more, a humble man whom took care and loved everyone with little words, a true man of action.
😭😭😭🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
Had a similar experience, my grandfather passed away from pancreatic cancer. He was rather grumpy at times and I didn’t take him seriously. He had a rather painful couple of months before he finally passed. Still remember the day I heard the news after my literature exam.
Same with my dearest grandpa, passed from prostate cancer. I look after him at night shift, he would constantly apologise for disturbing me. Coz he always felt the need to pee but actually nothing. Every 30mins or so, I will be summoned. Honestly I got upset sometimes, but when I think back now, I'm such an arsehole.
Your grandfather was a brave soul, may his spirit rest in God.
😢😢🕯️🕯️He is in the presence of God now. Beautifully written in honor of your grandfather.
This is so inspiring this man has fought through 12 years of cancer and still made it never give up uncle soh and Irene
They are brave souls encouraging others to face their challenges with courage.
The laksa is actually pretty solid. But I never know what the stall owners are going through. Uncle Soh and his wife are very strong. Please support the stall if you can.
Where is the located? Thanks.
@@kops888 The location is in the description
I'm a Malaysian haven't been to Singapore for a long time but is it really just 5 SGD for a bowl of curry noodles? that's so cheap considering in Malaysia food prices are around RM 10- 15 for a hawker food in Selangor/ KL area
@@liyenong2017 you must be referring to those air conditioned food courts in shopping malls. Try those located outside malls, by the road side. It is much cheaper.
@@liyenong2017 Food in SG memang very cheap if eat at hawker & if you earn SG dollar.
Uncle is mentally strong...pray he will have good doctors to help him in his journey for a cure. such a kind man & a good husband
as a healthcare student it really pains my heart to hear stories like this, but it also serves as a reminder for us to take our studies seriously so our patients won't have to suffer more than necessary. thoughts and prayers to uncle soh and his family
Thank you. Sadly but most people chose medical industry because of high salary.
No your controlled by a business that makes money through cancer. The cure will never be released.
@@badboi888 who doesn't? 😂
We need more money for cancer research instead of war machines.
@@badboi888 not true. When u factor in the hours and overtime we make, plus almost always being on call, we are not actually paid that well. Underpaid and overwork is why we are leaving the industry
Uncle Soh’s story is very inspiring. Seems like he’s still moving forward with his life despite all the hardships and uncertainties.
Couldn’t help but burst into bittersweet tears while watching this on the way to work. While most of us are bogged down by our daily troubles, Uncle and his wife live on everyday with such positivity and hope.
Wishing them all the best, good health, peace, and happiness ❤
This video is both heart breaking yet warming. Kudos to the team at mothership and scoot for sponsoring uncle soh a trip to BKK!
Circuit Road Hawker Centre - do support uncle Soh stall!
I've eaten at their stall for quite few times, did not know about all of these, but will gladly support their stall whenever possible.
The aunty is very lucky indeed to have such a loving who think beyond his own suffering. I am sure she has her own battle as well. My husband has critical illness as well. At that time, it was hard to make him think positively at the same time I have to juggle between work and ensuring my children that everything will be okay.
Wishing you and your family all the best. Please stay strong and take care of yourself too.
I bawled my eyes out like a child . I pray for uncle Soh and auntie Irene to be good in health and in happiness for the rest of their lives.
Big props to the team for making it possible for Uncle and Auntie to enjoy a brief respite they so deserve. They are truly an inspiration to look up to. Wishing you both many more great years together! ❤️
Yes, that was so kind of them to help. ❤
A touching feature, sometimes we spend all our time chasing things we want but lose sight of we have. Cherish all the moments with your love ones, you never know when it's the last goodbye.
Wishing Uncle and Auntie good health peace and happiness.
Uncle seems very well spoken for his age. Might anyone know his previous profession prior to opening their stall?
Yeah, he speaks articulately and eloquently. He maybe a white collar worker before. That's my thought.
whats the difference does it matters if he is a brain surgeon??
@@johnwong8336 brain surgeon ???
May I ask Mr soh and his wife don't have children of their own Kah?.
I can say this is one of the best, if not the most touching video ever made by MothershipSG - moved me to tears a few times .
Thanks for this great video .
A stark reminder on not to take your health, loved ones and life for granted.
I worked at a respiratory floor as a nursing aide in a hospital, sometimes I got sent to the cancer floor and i hated it because there's not much i can do when patients are in pain, pain being subjective, they can force a smile even in great pain, i remember them getting dilaudid.
A shining example of human perseverance. May Buddha hear your prayers.
Hard workers….like the saying goes..”you can have all the money in the world BUT if you don’t have good health That Sucks”… this couple works so hard day after day and to fulfill their dreams is not easy when bad health interferes with their life.. glad that they had the opportunity to go to Bangkok…good luck for your health…
Thank you very much, Motherships🙏🏽🙇🏻♀️ it is very moving story. His determination to live is very admirable. I am praying for Mr and Mrs. Soh to always have good health.
Painting yellow for the wider society. Scoot is amazing! Thank you for collaborating and helping this couple out in realising their dream of travelling.
Among us are people struggling with their personal issues. Heroes making sacrifices that no one will ever know. Making a sunrise for others that no wider audience will appreciate them for.
Everyone please be kind and patient.
When I go to Bangkok, it's to see the history, learn about the culture, eat food, and relax. It humbles me that Aunty Irene and Uncle Soh want to go there to pray. I'm not a Buddhist, but I will remember this when I go to Bangkok again. If I'm ever in Singapore, I will visit the noodle stall.
Thank you so much for helping fulfill their dream. I lost my father 1 month back and seeing this video made me remember the journey my parents went through when my Dad was fighting cancer.
I will visit their stall but if there is anyway I can donate money, please let me know. God bless!!
He's just lovely. So glad they getting a holiday break.
Health is wealth. Learn to live and survive is good enough to appreciate our creator.
Oh my God I was holding the tears but when it was written that he had a successful surgery my tears burst out I am also fighting for my life please pray for my health I am in so much pain everyone
Just keep praying. My brother in law had a stroke two weeks before. He keeps praying and now he can walk and see again. You will be fine, too.
@@pccl9358 thankyou so much God bless you
I pray for you 🙏
may you recovered and in good health
Uncle, may god ease your pain,
And may god ease you both journey. You’re strong uncle. Gods will all will be okay uncle.
Take care and be safe uncle ❤
Am very happy to note Uncle Soh n irene can share a happy life more longer together with God's blessings of good health...
I lost my husband a year ago from cancer. The past 4 years, he had traveled on his own to his hometown, Sibu. I never had the chance to travel with him as I was too busy working. However, the couple on the video were lucky to be sponsored with the chance to visit Bangkok. I wish them well.
By the way, I was from Singapore and my husband, a Malaysian who was born in China. We have lived in Canada for more than 40 years. He's sorely missed. 😔
So very sorry for your loss.😢❤
I’m inspired by your strength Mr Soh
Your positiveness and love for your wife amidst your fight to kick this disease is the key to look forward to more years ahead . Wishing you all the best and looks like you had an amazing holiday in Thailand !
Thank you Scoot for making Uncle Soh and Mrs Soh dream come true.
It was really touching video of such hard working couple.. couldn't hold back my tears very emotional. GOD BLESS this beautiful couple and may the good Lord grant many more years to him.
In the West, marriage has broken down and often looked down on as a quaint antiquated practice.
What a blessing to have a loved one for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health...a sacred oath sworn to keep in front of people and God.
I have seen people with sickness who doesn't have their own business and doesn't own a car. Maybe Mothership can help them realise their dream of travelling overseas too. Mothership, keep up the good work!
Thanks for sharing his story and hopefully more ppl will come down to support their stall. Such a heartfelt story, I am balling my eyes out like a baby. I'm glad the trip is planned for them so that they can create memories that the wife can keep with her even if anything happens. Life is tough but there are good ppl to help, I wish this couple the best 😊💕✌🏻
I’m brimming with tears and joy. Such a wonderful and inspiring story. May God bless both uncle and auntie for long life and good health.
Thank you mothership for the amazing gestures! Wishing uncle and aunty well and happiness !
What a sweet couple, thank you for helping them. It was so great they got to vacation together and spend time , relax and eat together !! ❤
Best wishes to this couple and a word of thanks to the sponsors for the kindness displayed.
A moving piece and an inspirational story. Uncle has good plan in long term for his wife. The stall is his form of love and concern for his wife, an asset to ensure his wife has place to fall back to. The community of hawkers, it is also a form of social moral support. May uncle health be better and stable!
Wishing uncle Soh and wife all the best❤
Mr & Mrs Soh don't worry too much.

This video touched me..God bless you and your wife.
Uncle....sincerely deep from my heart.
God please make him well.
a trip to bkk.a trip to most of us that can be easily affordable..but to some..its a dream....thanks mothership for the super sweet gesture..awesome..
I will keep Uncle Soh and Irene in my prayers every day. Glad the procedure went well, and wish him continued healing. as well as continued growth for their busniess. My Dad also had bone cancer so I know the ups and downs that Uncle Soh and Irene feel. I did my best to support both my Mother and Father through their journey. Uncle Soh wanted to cry when they gave him the letter, but I cried tears of happiness for them both. So glad they helped him fullfill his dream. Stories of humanity helping each other are my favorites in such hard times that we are all in right now - we need more of them.
Yes,stories of humanity that keep us together through ups and downs in life.We are all in this big ship called life, what we do affects all of us in one way or the other.
Amazing video along with the producers team.
I am encouraged by Mr Koh's testimony
