My dad did that to my cousin while we were little, about the same age as you were. Cousin didn't know squat about guns. Single shot 10 gauge and blew him off his feet after he shot it. He cried but dad thought it was hilarious. We were the 20 gauge age then and shooting a 12 gauge was bad enough for me, so I refused to do the 10 even after much of my elder's chagrin.

Another BPS and a Browning Gold. 3 1/2shells 2 1/4 buffered lead. It would set one back but killed at a insane range. Steel not near the kick. The 10 didn't kick as much as a 12 3 1/2 incher. The gun is heavy enough perceived recoil was not bad. Besides we were shooting geese it didn't matter. I only got tipped over once. That 4 years ago after back surgery. I still got the goose.
