How did Brian Laundrie die? Anthropologists investigating | NewsNation Prime

  • A forensic anthropologist says the ability to find out when and how Brian Laundrie died depends on whether there were injuries that affected his bones.
“If it turns out that it was something that only affected soft tissue, or if it’s something that involves only toxicology, then I think that’s where the question remains in terms of what they’ll be able to figure out,” Dr. Erin Kimmerle, an associate professor of forensic anthropology at the University of Southern Florida, said on NewsNation Prime.

Sadly, I think if he did write in the notebook it's probably only a goodbye to his parents, sister and nephews. I don't know if he'd admit anything regarding what happened in WY to the Petito/Schmidt family even in death. Maybe he figured that him dying by suicide would make it crystal clear to her family that he is the reason Gabby is dead (though they deserve an explanation and most definitely an apology). We are not police officers but we can see that if something happened in an area it is a potential crime scene and it should be processed as such. The Park is open but the swampy forest area remains closed. From what I understand it's roped off, and it's dangerous for anyone to go in there due to the snakes and animals lurking around. That doesn't mean someone won't go in anyway.
Brian may have been in a more human friendly area before he died. And it could have been suicide. an animal, or even killed/murdered by someone, fellow hiker, since a lot of folks were mad at them for Gabby's death, or when she went missing under those circumstances. An animal could have then dragged the body into the swamp. Aligators, swamp pigs... If he wanted to take his life, why not in a safer area? That's why I think his death was unexpected??

I was explaining this case to a family member who has been in law enforcement since before I was born, and he had heard about the case but nothing more than a headline or two. As I was laying it all out for him, the twists and turns, I told him I really thought Gabby’s dad found Brian and uh.. took matters into his own hands. Now, my family member has been with the worst of the worst every single day for over 20 years. He stopped me and said that that’s where he originally was starting to lean but as I gave him the last bit of facts, he couldn’t believe nobody had drawn the obvious conclusion- Brian’s dad/parents either killed him, assisted in his suicide, or gave him a “you do it or I’ll do it to you” ultimatum. Brian knew he was screwed and knew they would want him to do life in prison. He’d easily choose death over life in prison. They wiped the van of any traces- why? DNA from gabby or Brian would be expected. The car was parked to show where he was. A reported car would obviously bring law enforcement. Match the plates with the ongoing case and the fact that the car is empty when it’s found- boom. That should have law enforcement crawling over every inch. When that didn’t do it, they advised Brian’s normal hiking spots. As a hiker, my family could maybe tell you general parks I like to hike at, but there is absolutely no way they would have any idea what paths I like to take unless they were going with me regularly. So how would his parents be able to tell the police which paths to look on? They decided to go out there the night that the reserve was opened back up to the public- probably because they knew he was there and they were irritated that theyve been handing him to the police on a platter and the police still couldn’t find him, so they decided they would have to “come across Him”- WITH law enforcement (to avoid accusations) themselves. Then the moment they get his *partial* remains, they’ve already decided to cremate and not have a funeral..? What parent doesn’t have a funeral for their young child, regardless of how they died or what they did, unless they want all possible evidence obliterated at the first opportunity. Then we get into the nature aspect. Bodies float and they wash up. A damn stick in some muddy water isn’t going to stop a whole body, sorry. Flooded or not, bodies float, they smell, and they move downstream to the mouth of the water. Near where I live on the Mississippi River, we just had a body wash up and it was identified as someone who was reported missing over a year ago. And as for the scattered belongings. That just doesn’t make any sense except for purposes of bread crumbs to find him. Brian’s dad and lawyer aren’t covering for Brian. They are covering for themselves.

Killed him. ?? But now they have a body. What to do? How do you get rid of the body? All the experts agree the cadaver dogs would have targeted it. So where was it? Honestly, I lost faith in the FBI after researching their handling of the Jeffrey Epstein and Larry Nassar cases, so I shouldn't be surprised. I appreciate the media interviewing knowledgeable experts, but do wish they would ask more probing questions or at least call out inconsistencies. For example pointing out that there was no extensive excavation after "BL" remains were found. Instead the park was re-opened to public quickly. Also, why isn't media pointing out the fact that his parents and LE handled the bags with bare hands, when they should have been treated as potential evidence in the homicide investigation of Gabby Pettito? The one thing that encourages me is the thousands of intelligent, articulate and thoughtful comments underneath each and every one of these videos!! Wouldn't the body being in water preserve it ? And not be bones and how do alligators digest ?also were the teeth still attached to jaw or were the teeth found scattered bcuz if they were scattered teeth can be pulled easily if your looking at life in prison and getting your salad tossed..
    Hey anything is possible..

Oh what did they just forget to go back there and check the area that was so cold underwater. Really everything was underwater but they’re going to be able to salvage a notebook. That they never went back after the water receded to check it even though the parents said this is where he would be. Oops what did they forget. Instead of having somebody going back there on a daily basis maybe even twice a day to check so when the water did reseed they could look at it. They just forgot close down the investigation then open back up the park just like that

@@soulfireonfire6423 I don’t believe everything the FBI says. I never claimed that they don’t try to keep up their image. It’s simply almost impossible to fake someone’s teeth to match another person’s dental records. I doubt the Laundries have the resources to alter Brian’s dental records so that they would match up with some other person’s. Besides, finding dead people to plant in a public park is again almost impossible - especially since the media have a stake out at your house. Occam’s razor says the simplest explanation is most likely the correct one. The parents reported him missing after saying he had gone to the Carlton Reserve. After everything they went out to look in a place that they knew was one of his favorites. And they found some of his stuff. The police found the human remains. That scenario is much more believable than the wild explanations in the comments on CZcams.

She said something key in that birds do a lot of the scattering of dead bodies. I live where we have a lot of wildlife that get hit by cars. Including elk, deer, foxes and coyotes. Dead animals get eaten rather quickly by the birds. Between the birds and coyotes, animals get eaten within two to three weeks. With the bacteria and aquatic insects in the water and the birds, I am not surprised that much of his body was gone after 30 days of being out there.
