tty.a Colin and Michael are equals. They oversee the writing department and make decisions about what sketches are in the shows, who is cast as which character, etc
tty.a they have the highest writing role so they really get to control a lot of the skits. And they are the weekend update anchors who are only in one segment but the most well known segments. Like Jimmy Fallon was a weekend update anchor

Believe it or not, my mom taught Scarlett Johansson when she was in 6th grade. My mom taught at a school in N.Y.C where kids trained to be actors, or authors, or singers, and yeah. Also, Ashley Tisdale went to that school, and my mom didn’t teach her, but she knew her. Cool huh? Edit: And my mom said Scarlett knew she was good at what she did. My mom also said she was very smart :)

and seem even happier when their jokes land for the audiences laughs and lightly scoff one another when they don't... That's my take at least.
From one guy trying to read another, Michael was uncomfortable being asked and naturally used his comic talent to deflect Ellen *three times*. She was trying to be fun and maybe genuinely help him out, but she was borderline trying to force a real name drop out of him. Personally, I think Michael is the lonely type who finds it hard to reach out and make connections. Maybe there's a lot of self-consciousness involved, some feelings of inadequacy. He said, on national TV, to his close friend Colin, "Maybe you have better things to do."
