For me personally the 80s aesthetic is my fav, but yes i agree most likely the 90s was the greatest era for bodybuilding

His form is perfect. He does all these sets in slow motion. No swinging of the weight at all. That's what I strive for as well.

2 hours per workout, 5-6 workout days per week, 20 sets or more per body part. Man I started on a similar path when I first got serious into bodybuilding at age 14 back 2001; and then as the years progressed, I changed to a Mike Mentzer/Dorian Yates style of training. You can get much more done in less than an hour workout, as long as you’re going about it the right way and taking advantage of the time frame. Ive always been a fan of Lee when I was back in high school and still am. But his workout regimen, even back in the 2000’s, was just too long and too many sets. Granted, he doesn’t go to failure very much at all, and tends to have always preferred a higher volume style training. It just never worked for me. Even when I was in high school looking up to Priest. Dorian and mentzers style of training suited me much more, and how I gained the size. Working out was my life for almost 20 years, and I loved working out. It was a way of life. But spending two hours in the gym 5-6 days a week is just absolutely unnecessary. Let alone not having two hours to spend at the gym every day. Of course when you’re a pro, you can afford it. But even so, for a regular working person, two hours a day in a gym and doing 20 sets or more per body part is just ridiculous. You can your workout done in half the time as well as twice the gains by following, or slightly modifying Mike mentzers bodybuilding philosophy. Working out for 2-3 hours a day seemed like a good idea when you’re 15 years old; but when you get into your 20’s, you realize that there has to be a better and more effective way at this than doing 20-30 sets per body part and spending 2-3 hours in the gym every single day. Every persons body is different. Yes. I know. And if you have the 12-14 hours to spend in the gym per week, go for it.
