- Frontseat was an arts program on TVNZ from 2004-2007. On episode 14 of series one, host Oliver Driver travels to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival to interview various kiwis on stage and behind the scenes. This clip includes Rhys's interview as well as some too-brief footage of his show "Jekyll and Hyde 2030" This interview is from one year before Jemaine Clements and Bret McKenzie would invite him to play the role of their manager for the Flight of the Conchords radio program on the BBC.

god, i can’t believe he’s still as energetic as he was 20 years ago
So proud of this man and everything he accomplished
So cute that he is proud of selling out 60 seat venues! Aw.
I know what you mean considering his current success, but the Fringe Festival is a madhouse and selling out a 60 person venue there is extremely impressive.
He is adorable 😭
