    The fact that your comparing the Neo vista with the superblast is something u never thought would happen. Ive had my superblasts for nearly a year now and i couldn't think a shoe would ever top it. However i got the Mizuno today and ran in it straight away. Im pretty blown away with how soft the shoe was. I honestly felt like i shouldn't even be wearing them on just an easy run since the shoe was almost like a supershoe.
    Definitely got this review right here i think. Both shoes are really hard to pick between each other. However since i know that the Neo Vista can be used for pretty much any run ill definitely be more invested in them i think. Solid Work on the comparison

      I'm glad you liked it! The durability on the Neo is better than I expected also. It's still going strong for me.

    I hope Superblast 2 will have a more pronounced rocker. Love version 1, bit I really love running in rockered shoes.

    Interested to see the fit on the Mizuno. Their football boots fit me incredibly well, so I am excited. I have a pair of the superblasts and even though I went a half size down like you, I still am getting a bit of heel slip that keeps me from reaching for them as often as I'd like. If the Mizuno can give me a bit of a better fit, I'll be very happy

      Interesting about the heel slip as that was what was preventing me buying. I couldn't get decent lockdown even just walking around in store going a half size down. My wife did buy them but sold them after about 60km because she couldn't get a great a properly dialled in fit and was getting some lower leg pain. She's currently using the Kinvara Pros and loving them. I'm also loving the Kinvara Pro.

    I think most people will wait for the SB 2 before shelling out on the NV...I know I will,but it's good to know there's a competitor out there for the daily trainer runs....great comparison by the way.

  • @johnsonch7292
    @johnsonch7292 Před měsícem +2

    how do these two compare performance on just pure walking which all of us have to do sometimes too! Also how much worse is the Neo Vista on stability vs Superblast?

    • @run-are
      @run-are  Před měsícem +1

      The Superblast will feel just like a pretty normal shoe if you are just walking, you will feel high off the ground but very safe and stable where as the Neo Vista you will feel the heel bevel rock you back a little and you will certainly feel the rocker rolling forward. It will feel a little un-natural to walk in.
      Stability wise, the Superblast is really rock solid, such a wide base and firmer foam hold you steady and the Neo isn't as stable as its softer and more rockered but it's still not an unstable shoe by any means. In stability I'd give the SB 9/10 and the Neo 7.5/10. Hope that helps!

  • @anisajirah

    I can’t get superblast anywhere but i can still get NV. I already have ES3 and Glycerin 20 but i’m actually looking for a long run/marathon shoes for my first marathon. Should i stick with ES3 for the marathon or get NV? Slow runner here about 6.30-7mins/km.

    Is it really necessary to have playe on daily trainer? What's the reason behind it? Shouldnt we save the plate for race, or may be VO2 Max workout?

    • @run-are
      @run-are  Před měsícem +2

      It's for a couple of reasons. It's to give these soft foams some structure or else they'd go to mush and be unstable and also to create efficiency through the geometry. Lots of people want to have a soft, bouncy and fun experience for all their runs so the brands are delivering daily trainers with these super foams. These 'Super Trainers' aren't top end speed shoes as they are heavier and built a bit more robust to handle every day running. The carbon plated race shoes are more rigid and usually more aggressively rockered and really light weight.

    • @run-are
      @run-are  Před měsícem +1

      I honestly think both will work great for you. If you like a softer rockered ride go the Neo Vista, if you want something a little firmer and a bit more traditional go for the Superblast.

      @radoslavstoev4550 Před 25 dny

      For me personaly the superblast really comes alive at around 5.00 - 5.20 per km pace or faster. At slower paces it feels clunky to me. Some other reviewers have also said this.

      @@run-are ok thank you very much. That clinched it for me. I need stability in my neutral shoes and I don’t like a soft or unstable heel in particular. I can run in Triumph 20 but I would prefer a bit more stable heel than what that shoe delivers. It sounds like Superblast is an exceptionally stable high stack shoe.

      @@therunophil True but unfortunately in Australia, the Superblast in US9.5 hasn't been available for a while now at RRP. Asics are missing out huge sales as it is in high demand. Hopefully, when SB 2 comes out they will have a lot of stock to meet the demand.

  • @kuriosites
    @kuriosites Před měsícem +2

    The Superblast is extremely comfortable on foot for me but I have to be running at a decent speed to get a good ride. When I'm running slow, I feel like I'm not compressing the foam enough and it leaves me fighting the geometry, which is not very rockered. I will probably try the Neo Vista, as the soft, bouncy foam with a more pronounced rocker sounds like a good fit for me.
    Anyway, thanks for the comparison. I think these two are shoes that people will be choosing between because they're relatively light, supermax trainers.

    Thanks very much for this very complete, well organised and detailed review. Three points : A / I do think that you slightly underestimate the conservative facet of most runners : Mizuno doesn't put a lot of efforts in advertising and remains quite confidential ; most runners stick to Nike, Adidas and Asics and will just give a glance to the Neo Vista before buying the Superblast 2 when it is out in the coming months. B/ As emphasised by another contributor, I would be extremely curious about a careful comparison between the Adidas Prime X2 strung and the Mizuno Neo Vista : after all, these are the only two super trainers on the market that rely upon an additional plate. C/ Very bad decision from Mizuno about the colourway with this boring blue or the neon one : the black plus zebra prototype one was much more attractive !
