Recently lost my father to a stroke, I have one piece of advice. If you have a conflicted/complicated relationship with your parents. Ask yourself if they are really that bad or compromise can be achieved. I didn’t settle the issues and now he’s gone and I’ll never forgive myself.
We do the best we can at the time with what we know, how we think, and how we feel. How many of us would love a "do over" just one more shot to make it right? Don't carry that hurting with you. What good will it do? My best friend died of cancer. I told her how angry "I" was, and it ain't even happening to me! Why aren't you pissed! She said, "What good would it do?" Maybe you could consider talking this out with a professional. I suggest that respectfully. Walking around wounded is much too heavy to carry. Ya gotta find a way to lay it down. Let it go. It's okay to talk to someone about this. I wish you well
I knew when I looked up reviews for the movie they wouldn’t be spectacular, but I have pretty much the same relationship with my dad and I know this movie is gonna mean so much to me later in life. The amount of meaning to have your dad just say “I love you” is something I wish for everyone.
I'm the middle son.. and I was neglected my whole life from my mother and my dad? Well, he wasn't there much... but my grandpa who I lost to cancer in Aug took me as his own.. he was the closest person to me more than anyone. I miss him so much I love him so much.. I'm lost but I have to man up and do things on my own now. 😔🙏
My darling son Alex with his dad;they just couldn't get along Alex my son died 18 months ago of a massive stress related heart attack.....they never made up💔
I’m not talking to my father currently because of his rejection towards me and my accomplishments. He praises other kids and teenagers for their accomplishments but no matter what I do, I’ve never got the same treatment… This movie hit me hard.

I knew when I looked up reviews for the movie they wouldn’t be spectacular, but I have pretty much the same relationship with my dad and I know this movie is gonna mean so much to me later in life. The amount of meaning to have your dad just say “I love you” is something I wish for everyone.
This movie represents my relationship, or lack of, with my late father so it hammers home the tough love aspects of many families.
