Marion’s jokes need a bit of work, I like the setup of how he says “every potentially racist cop needs to be paired with a black female” that got me interested. Then from there he goes into an old school stereotypical ghetto black woman bit. You can kinda guess what his jokes are gonna be like from there, jokes need more mystery to them. Take Rock’s joke about the Crips for instance, you didn’t know what was coming until he said it, “send Lil JJ.... oh he’s here already”.

Chris Rock is a common-sense comedian. I love him. The difference between a ’bad apple’ pilot and a ’bad apple’ police officer is that when the pilot screws up. He pays for it for his own life too. When the bad apple cop screws up. He ruins everyone's life, including the lives and reputation of the good apples.

Marlon's style was racial caricature, but the joke doesnt advance, he just retells the same punchline slightly differently. "the s is silent, the q is silent" etc. its comedy that tries to be comedy. its very c grade comedian wannabe.
Rock's style is relatable and about life issues that matter, it comes from a place of truth not desperation, he isnt trying to tell jokes or make you laugh, he's saying things that are naturally funny because he's being honest and useful.

White Americans, myself included, need to understand that if one sector of society is disenfranchised, it destroys all of us. Black Lives Matters is a righteous cause. I have never once had to convince anyone that my life mattered. No one has ever followed me in a store. I have never had anyone lock their doors when I approached. For those who believe my rantings are those of leftist extremism, you are way off. I am conservative (not Republican because I think both parties are corrupt). But I can't close my eyes and pretend that racism and injustice aren't real. White privilege is real. I don't feel guilty because of it. And my African-American brothers and sisters don't blame me either. All they want and expect is that we join with them and put an end to police brutality. It must stop now. I would gladly double what I pay in taxes if it would guarantee that we attract the best, most qualified candidates to enforce the law. If we set high standards and pay accordingly, then perhaps this would end. My heart grieves at the brokenness. I want a world where we embrace each other as brothers and sisters (no social distancing). I want hugs and high fives. God created color and saw it was beautiful.
