Harrison has a very dry sense of humour. He never forgot Ryan’s name, he’s just joking.
It's amazing how some people miss that it's Harrison's excellent dry humor. One of his most underrated traits.
It's funny bc they both messed with each other the whole press junket
and he likes a ''smoke.''
Totally agree. It's unexpected but yes, his humor is subtle. Ish. He's hilarious tbh, always has been. All his roles have humor in them.
Can't believe people would even entertain for 1 second that he didnt know his name. Theyve just filmed a frickin movie together and done a ton of press lmao. Harrison was probably a bit drunk and perhaps just had a mind blank, but then played on it brilliantly.
Harrison wasn’t drunk, he was joking 😂🤦♂️
Exactly🤣
Salute to a GREAT actor... that is Harrison Ford!
Yeah... he would say that, though.
@@Jan-pk2qnAmericans sometimes genuinely hurt my head 😂😂
Harrisons comedic timing seems to have been wildly overlooked in his career.
I think he’d make a great successor to Leslie Nielsen, his dry sense of humour would be perfect for those deadpan roles
@@alant84 yeah he'd be great for it. Nielsen was also originally a straight actor. I think that's why his comedy worked so well.
He’s also baked right here.
Nah, his dry humour absolutely MADE the Indiana Jones movies.
His comic ability is tapped again in "Shrinking", in which he plays a recurring character who is an aging psychologists... It stars Jason Segel, who works with Ford's character, and considers him a mentor. It's quirky and fun!
Margot Robbie is Australian with a British husband so she probably has spend some time in london.
She lived in London for several years.
She lived in Clapham. Used to frequent the nightclub 'Infernos' a fair bit apparently...
@@thatwastheweekthatwaswasit1707 Flatshare just off Battersea Bridge Rd, pretty sure her [now] husband was initially one of her flatmates.
@@sw6325 we're narrowing it down... just need the house number now... 😉
@@thatwastheweekthatwaswasit1707 Wait till someone erects a plaque.
Margot Robbie is australian. Funny you asked that right after she spoke with her australian accent ^^. Btw, please react to all the other parts as well. Graham Norton seriously is a treasure.
They're American don't be surprised they think an Aussie accent is one of theirs bruh they too ignorant and thick
Her accent is very muted. It's a bit of a combo of her own and an American or Canadian accent. It is weird that they didn't know that she wasn't from here.
@@marywood8794 Still, i'm not american and my first language isn't english but is still noticed she had an australian accent. It's really not that hard to recognize, especially for an english speaker it should be easier to hear.
@@michellehawk282 I see your point. Most Americans are isolated and that isolation makes them seem rude when we are mostly ignorant. Sadly, many American born people don't really know enough about the rest of the world. I recognize Australian accents in particular because of actors like Hugh Jackman and I used to watch a science fiction show years ago that was filmed in Australia for American cable TV called Farscape. Most of the cast was from Australia and a few were from New Zealand. More recently since streaming and CZcams has become a thing, I routinely watch a lot of U.K. shows that I couldn't have seen before now. I recognize more accents now because of exposure to them.
Harrison is purposely trolling Ryan, he did this in several interviews 😂😂.
If you can find more of the red chair stories some of them are outrageous. The guests get to decide if they are ejected or let off. Really funny guys.
I just hope they find a lady's story of the family driving through a French safari park, and a bear climbed on top of the car!
The restaurant menu segment is the funniest thing I've ever seen on Graham Norton. Seeing Stanley Tucci brought to tears is brilliant. Second funniest is Benedict Cumberbatch and the huge teddy bear, with Johnny Depp seemingly convinced that he's fallen through some sort of wormhole and landed in an alternate dimension, and third is the Patrick Stewart circumcision story.
do you remember way back when, it must be over 20 years ago now (holy shit I'm feeling old!) Wasn't there that recurring 'bit' with the older lady from the audience, i want to say Betty but can't swear to it, and for some reason he'd given this woman an 'adult toy' that was basically a kinda of oral sex vibrator thing? And then she was on lots of shows after for a while? In my memory she was a pensioner, an OAP, but me 20+ years ago was still a teenager so my memory regarding perspectives on age might be quite skewed.
Someone else remembers it, right? I feel certain it happened but now writing it down it does sound kind of strange...
Either I'm on some kind of trip here, or I had an extremely weird and vivid dream I still remember, or it did happen.
@@theinvisibleneonrainbowzeb2567 Yes dear Betty was in the front row, for quite a while, so funny but guess she's not around anymore...
@@theinvisibleneonrainbowzeb2567 Im pretty sure she was the dinner lady at the drama school Graham went to. They stayed friends
Graham has said before that , drink helps to make his guests be normal and just come along for a chat , that’s the secret so many chat shows miss . Graham is the host not trying to make himself the main attraction
✨💖✨Mr. Norton certainly has a knack for creating an intimate “cocktail hour” setting, where everyone has fun. He’s had some real difficult celebrities to deal with, from drunks who fell asleep during the show, to some who are just prickly jerks. He doesn’t get to chose who will be there. Sometimes I wonder if he feels like a wedding director on a Disney cruise ship (hypothetically), where both expectations and emotions run high. You know, dinner is served on time, the cake is cut, dancing ensues, and oh-my-Lord! Who just dumped the punch bowl over the best man’s head.
Best late night talk show host ever
Graham is being modest when he says that. Sure, the alcohol helps loosen up his guests, but if that was entirely responsible for the magic of his show, other talk shows could easily replicate that. I think the special magic of his show includes the energy, humour and wit that he brings as the host; having the guests out all at once where they can play off each other; the behind-the-scenes production; etc.
I feel for you guys. As a Northern Irishman, the Derry accent is mental lol. Not least if she got into my 'ceaar' and started shouting at me lol
Margot Robbie is Australian
Graham Norton is incredible. National treasure... Changed the game in interview chat shows... Look at his 90s stuff... So ahead of everyone x
Did you see some of the webcam chats he used to have. I distinctly remember an asian woman with a recorder........and she didnt use her mouth
You say that but Terry Wogan and Michael Parkinson were amazing at making people feel comfortable and open up.
Wogan did 30 minutes 3 times a week LIVE, and he was FLAWLESS
Graham is an Irish national treasure
You say that but there are loads of examples of them making their guests really uncomfortable eg. Parkinson with Helen Mirren, Meg Ryan. And they tried to get political.
They are nothing like Graham Norton.
I always remember Matt Damon on the Graham Norton show with Bill Murray. Matt said "I've never had so much fun on a talk show". Check out the video.
Pretty sure he's never had so much drink on a talk show either 😂 definitely one of my top few episodes
I was scrolling through the comments to see if the Matt Damon/Bill Murray show was mentioned. Good call, Mark. It always makes me laugh. x
@@philippahusain7778 Cheers Philippa! 👍😄
Graham Norton should be mandatory viewing for the world. Such wonderful stars really open up. My favourite guest grouping for comedy was watching Matt Damon, Bill Murray & Hugh Bonnevillle. They were half cut when they came onstage & the show was an absolute riot from start to finish. You MUST WATCH THE WHOLE EPISODE as it’s truly superb TV. Great reactions as always 👍👍👍
Lee Mack making John Cleese cry with laughter 🤣❤ Gold!
I've heard that Lee mack story so often but it still has me in tears every time😂
And his comedic timing while telling it is *chef's kiss*
There cannot be many people alive who can make John Cleese crease in half on a show
"He's a hobbit denier" Jesus that escalated quickly 😂
The Bill Murray and Matt Damon one is pure gold . Definitely a MUST SEE
Graham Norton never disappoints, I think it’s because he makes his guests feel at home and they relax . The first time I saw the menu thing with Stanley Tucci I was crying with laughter too .
Did you know Graham was in Father Ted ? He plays Father Noel Furlong . Season 3 , the episode is called The Mainland .
Yes, doing riverdance in the caravan was amazing, one of my favourite scenes.
Olivia Coleman is hilarious on chat shows, she just pops along for the booze 🤣
I think her "I don't know why they ask me...I'm not really helping am i?" Is just so sweet and endearing. I love her.
Don't forget the contractual obligations!
Harrison wasn’t pissed. he was taking the piss and by the way Margot is an Aussie
Absolutely love Olivia Coleman(the lady saying had to ‘contractually’ be there) she’s funny and so down to earth. X
It's Stanley Tucci. He now lives in England as it's better!
Imagine moving THE John Cleese to tears of laughter...
And Martin Clunes.."Doc Martin."..prior "Men Behaving Badly" Now doing travel vids..
My mother is a retired german/french language teacher and translator and one of her favourite activities is exactly to dissect restaurant menu translations. It's bloody hilarious! :D
I'm so glad u are on the Graham train he never does a bad show and the way he mixes the sofa with A list Hollywood start and low level British comedians is great Americans trying to understand British accents is just entertaining. Also look out for Red chair clips which is how he ends ever show xx
And mixes the drinks too... 😎👍 🤣🤣🤣 🇬🇧
Rude! Great level British comedians !!!
@@jackiehodgkinson6652 Well I wouldn't exactly call Josh Widdicombe or Nish Kumar great comedians. Mid to OK level with the occasional legend is the more appropriate description.
@@jackiehodgkinson6652 Yes someone has no idea who someone is!...
Not sure which is more facepalm-worthy, Harrison's sense of humour going whooosh over your heads, or trying to take the piss out of him for forgetting a name and getting said name wrong in the same sentence! Hoisted by your own petard there ;)
Every episode of Graham Norton is a banger and yet for some reason Ant and Dec always win the TV awards. Can't figure it. He is so great and the show is always really cool.
Finally someone said it nearly all Americans think the UK is just London when there is a lot of places a lot nicer then London
Love this as always.
Margot is Australian btw
@@Frank75288 That's awesome. I haven't watched in years but it was my favourite thing for a while when I was a kid, so i'm going to have to watch the last ep when it airs.
Graham always finishes the show with the red chair where members of the public tell a story about something that has happened to them. If he doesn't think it is that good he pulls the lever and they get flipped back .
He didn't forget Ryan's name- he was joking.
The Northern Irish girl isn't Irish. We're called British. Ireland and Northern Ireland are 2 seperate countries
The first few years it was a joy to watch when half of the big stars knew how this show worked.. and what you can say on British telly... and the other Hollyooders had no idea.. and couldn't believe what was happening around them. the stars in the Know were sometimes so cruel... just great!
At least Harrison Ford didn’t turn him in a completely different actor Spencer 🤣🤣
Aileens story is even more brilliant if you take into account the colourful history of Londonderry and people with fully covered faces
If you want some more WILTY - Kevin Bridges - I accidentally bought a horse is worth a watch. This was great 👍
Omg. that story is so good! And the other panelists commenting along had me in stitches. "Maybe just two guys in a costume?"
@@thanossnap4170 So not a real horse. :-) Guy A and Guy B :-)
@@roberthartley6629 "Guy A. Yes, that's a proper vulgarian name" - David Mitchell
Eddie Redmayne also played Stephen Hawking in the biopic The Theory of Everything
I have visited the Hobbiton set 3 times. Twice when it was just a white facades and once after it had been remade for The Hobbit. The Green Dragon is an actual pub and serves very good food.
Did you have a 2nd breakfast?
@@paulqueripel3493 no, luncheon!
@@wrorchestra1 - I've visited too, and had afternoon tea. And a cider.
Totally worth it if you're a LOTR fan.
I loved my trip to Hobbiton.
You should watch the video of Alison Hammond interviewing Harrison Ford and Ryan Gosling it is the funniest interview I’ve ever seen. I think she recently went viral in the US for her laugh but her celeb interviews are brilliant
Yes, please do some more of the The Graham Norton Show it always makes me laugh, if it wasn't for you guys watching these for the first time i would probably never see these clips again and that would be a shame 👍
He didn’t forget his name he was joking around.
Dont worry they are just american and take things too seriously lol
Well he obviously had a brain fart the first time. Which after probably weeks of endless promotional interviews is understandable. And the pair of them did a very us (British) thing and sarcastically play on it. Which goes over a lot of Americans heads.
It was beautifully ironic that you were chastising Harrison Ford for forgetting Ryan's name, only to get it wrong yourself ... Made me laugh!!!!
Great video guys :)
Did you know that Kim Cattrall is English? She's from Liverpool, England.
The Northern Irish lady is just a member of the audience.
I love you guys! But i love how you tried to point out a typical American response in a typically American way 😅 Margot Robbie is Aussie!
You should watch the red chair compilations
Hysterical! Thanks so much for the great laughs and your reactions.
Ryan and Harrison did a crazy interview with Alison Hammond (I think it was her) and it was hysterical.
You guys need to check out the episode with Matt Damon Bill Murray Hugh Bonneville 👍🏻
That is a episode woth each cent ... I laughed the whole time ... "everyone got the memo. I have never seen that color and now I see it on three men"
Harrison was just messing with Ryan Reynolds....I mean Gosling...hahahahaha
Being American that surprised me that you didnt understand he was joking about forgetting his name.. That's british humour coming out of an American, and Americans not understanding it lol
Margot Robbie is Australian
That was Aileen in the Red Chair...costume interpretation...she actually worked on Game of Thrones
Thanks for sharing this - and I do hope that one day you’ll both be on the Graham Norton show!
When Harrison Ford and Ryan Who came to the UK to promote Blade Runner 2049, they had a blast. Alison Hammond interviewed them on morning television. Never seen an interview like it, before or since. Worth checking out guys, it is priceless😁
'Cheers Ry ;)'
Alison Hammond is brilliant in her interviews (like Graham) ... The interview with H.F and R.G or the interviews with "the Rock" ... her laughter is so infectious ...
Robin Williams was on the show a few times. You need to watch him and Graham. It's pure class. .you will laugh your heads off.
Forgetting Ryan's name was a joke.
Listen to Margot..she sounds Australian. Which she is 😉
Oh man, don't try to do accents lol She was a random viewer.
I love bad translations like that 🤣
They should make Hobbiton in England where it's supposed to be. That would be great.
👍
Just out of curiosity, because I don't know a lot of the LOTR background, why is Hobbiton supposed to be in England?
Spencer seems to take jokes very literally at times.
@@JamesD-iw6pr I think they mean because Tolkein said the Shire is based on rural England, and not any other country in the world.
Hobitton of the Shire is modelled on the Cotswolds in England.
You will love the Graham Norton show with Bill Murray, Matt Damon and Hugh Bonneville
Come on guys, you should know this, Margot is a gorgeous Aussie!! love your videos guys 🤩
Graham appeared several times as a priest on a comedy show called 'Father Ted' about priests on an island, he is so memorable as one of the most craziest characters, like some kind of ADHD sufferer on meth. You should check out the series sometime, it's really irreverent and funny.
Father Ted was pure genius.
@@hilaryjohns4049shame how Glinner turned out
Brilliant as always!
Thank you guys!
I love Kate Beckinsales story about the prank she played that she tells on this show.
Something to do with chocolate? 🤣
"The sausage in the father-in-law" is a pig in a blanket, if anyone's wondering 🤣 literally, "sausage in dough". "Dough" sounds the same as "father-in-law" in one of its grammatical cases. Those are two different words in Russian! (in their basic cases, tyesto for dough, and tyest' for f-i-l)
American talk shows used to have a long sofa, and although guests came out and were interviewed individually, they would often remain there for the next segments and sometimes participate in the conversation.
A prime example of great interaction between guests, is a Robin Williams video here on YT where he goes on The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson, and his comedy idol is there, too! You might not know Jonathan Winters, but if you wanna seer who made Robin Williams laugh, that's the guy!
What makes this show so great is that you get excited when you see who the guests are and you just wanna see them chat, tell funny/shocking stories and just let loose 🤭
R.I.P to the legend Robin Williams 🙏🏾❤️
Hand Pulled Ass Meat is just Hand Pulled Donkey Meat.
If it wasn't for Whiskey, the Irish would Rule the World...
Tommy Tiernan also does a Chat Show. But, the twist with Tommy's show is that he doesn't know who the guest is until they've actually been introduced on to the show.
.
I was just about to comment asking if the "ass" was referring to "donkey" 😂
I love Olivia. She is lovely and hilarious.
Erm, Harrison is humouring Ryan. :)
No drunken forgetfulness, just a great actor using his sense of humour.
Great vid Guys.
Please more! Love to see you enjoy Graham Norton Show!
Harrison Ford just trollin’ 😅
Harisson ford forgeting his name was an inside joke, they did it trough every interview about the movie
✨💖✨You guys! I’ve binged on Graham Norton’s show, and have watched my favorites to the point where my family was considering some kind of intervention. Now I can watch some of my faves with y’all! Thank you!
I suggest the Red Chair story from the young man whose mother took him on vacation, where he saw a happy donkey. Another has Kevin Hart talking about doing stand up at a Crab Boil.
Loving your reactions guys 🔥🔥
Another great one guys. All that was missing was the peril of Marmite or similar, lol. Thanks for uploading! 🇺🇸🇬🇧🇮🇪👍
Best channel I've ever found, you guys are hilarious, right up my street ❤️
You seriously should check out Graham Norton playing the hyperactive priest in Father Ted 😂😂😂 The caravan scene
You should check out Harrison and Ryan's interview with Alison Hammond. This one is nothing I'm comparison 😂
Hobbiton is great, did the night tour, go around the township, went to the pub for a drink and a massive feed, then go again at night time with lanterns, and lights on in the windows and front doors etc.
If you want to see Ryan and Harrison in a hilariously funny interview, look for the one for This Morning with Alison Hammond. Quality
I loved Hobbiton when I visited New Zealand, it's sooo cute.
You guys seem to like the Derry accent. Check out Derry Girls, it's a goldmine of Northern Irish comedy, (from a Catholic perspective that is). It was hugely successful, only ran for 3 seasons plus a one hour special.
I'd love to see what they make of Sister Michael!
@@christineirving4491pluviophile I think they'd love the good Sister.
Harrison dusted that old bit off. It is always hilarious, no matter the actors involved. 😂
Can’t wait for Part 3 for this
Oh, guys if you could only see what happened AFTER titles ran on the Matt Damon, Bill Murray episode!!!! After the titles the outtakes were like CRIMINAL! 😂😂😂😂 God bless the booze!!
harrison played it perfectly as a "tipsy" guest, if you can make john cleese laugh BEFORE the last line you are gold, mr tucci is really pissing himself laughing and kim cattrell is still stunning
Please!....Keep it coming! Haven't laughed so hard since me and my sisters did a "remember when" talking about one of my brothers....He...there are no words... hahahahaha
Mark Wahlberg on Graham was insane, I'd be shocked if it's not in a compilation like this, it's definitely a must watch!
Harrison has an English way of humour, dry sarcastic and right to the bone lol
Margo is Australian
Margot
The best part of this reaction is getting accent and clearly jokes or jokey comments, lets say not always correct. LOL.
Ford isn't forgetting, all of that shit was just a bit, he was just being silly, & he does it so well.
I wasn't sure if you were being sarcastic when you commented on the drink but there, just in case
'Hand-shredded ass meat' isn't actually a bad translation...
Hahaha ha Spencer is so off the mark this video it's hilarious 😂
Awesome Reaction Guys 😂😂😂
I totally love you two...Gill from Scotland x
One of the best episodes is Bill Murray, Matt Damon and Hugh Boneville drunk on graham's show promoting their film Monuments Men
The thing about Graham’s chat shows is that he’s happy to just let the guests talk and only interject to keep the conversation going. As opposed to American talk shows and also the Jonathan Ross show here in UK where the host talks too much. (IMO)
Ross is just too in yer face always...
The Norn Iron story would have been even funnier if it had been set in 1980.
The Graham Norton show is the absolute king of chat shows.
Nothing comes close
I'd love to see you guys on Graham Norton!
Another great video to look up is Greg Davies on Graham Norton. He has Ryan Gosling, Jodie Foster and Russell crow in tears.
In Romania in the early 1980s , they were offering horses eyeballs with soup for lunch. Almost died laughing looking at the face of the other diners at the hotel.
