Bicycle down the beach. Simple fishing. Love to see it.
You never disappoint. You always keep grinding till you get them!!! Great video
Nice stuff I miss Elmer's island driving to my spot lol
Glad to see you are back, I hope you do many more shows.
Elmers is really fun when the early morning top water bite is crazy. Awesome video water looked pretty clean
This is a great video Devin! Like seeing you fish a different way. Beautiful surroundings too.
Paul Brown Fatboy & Softdine, Mirrolure Mirrodine & Mirrolip, Super Spook & Spook Jr. Those will lead you to the promised land at Elmer's. But dink slaying with a popping cork or double rig is also an option.
Was wondering why you did not start casting in the first trough - second trough as you walked in the water before you even got knee-deep…maybe initially edited out!?! But around 16:00 time stamp you showed this😃😃😃
Man props to you I did same thing with a mountain bike a couple years ago what a frigging workout 😂😂 wish you could use a e-bike!!?
Love this.
That’s was a fun one bud!
I haven't been to Elmers or even Grand isle area in general since they cut off vehicle access to the beach, and I know many many people who agree and also haven't been back since. Its just another freedom they have taken away from us, and its not even worth going down there anymore. It used to be one of the coolest things to be able to drive your pickup onto the island and fish but now thats ruined and im sure they have easily cut tourism income in half by doing so.
We used to catch limits on the Port Fourchon side by where what used to be sunken barges filled with rocks. The barges are rusted away but the rocks are still there. Doesn't look like you could get there easily now, the bridge going there is gone
That bridge isint rebuilt yet?
suspention baits and top water baits is best for the surf. opinion only
I went to grand isle tarpon rodeo a couple of years ago and was there for 4days. I only caught hard head catfish!! Not one single species other than that!!! Made me sick to my stomach lol!!!
What size daiwa saltist is that and what kind of rod, didn’t know you had another channel will definitely subscribe
Brother was using that bass boat for saltwater lol don’t see that much
Bro we run our bass rigs out there on the norm..
Biking and fishing 👍🏻. What brand is the bike ? Been looking for one. Tight Lines !
It's just some generic bike from Wa-Mart. It's really not that great. You should go to a local bike store and have them walk you through what's best for you. Brooks Bikes in Mandeville or Slidell would be good. Thanks for watching!
Devin, I noticed that you kept closing the bail on your reel with your left hand rather than just reeling to close the bail. Was the bail spring just weak or was there another reason/? Semper Fi.
Always close the bail with yr hand instead of reeling it closed.
Reeling to close the bail is what wears them out. Always close it then reel.
Hey Devin, what kinda wade vest is that you’re using?
It's an old H2O Express wading belt. It's pretty cheap and generic, but gets the job done. Thanks for watching!
@@LAFishBlog Thanks, as always, love the content. Please keep it up where us land locked fans who don’t make it to the coast near enough can enjoy!
That dead croaker should have been a clue for what they are biting
They always chasing croaker..
What reels are you using in this video?
Daiwa saltist $$$
Why do you think they start biting so late?
Tide.
