fun fact: you can banish items you've already upgraded, so you can get level 7 lancet and then level 3 empty tome, then banish tome. You won't even see the item in chests!

Tyler, you might enjoy a survival run where you can in theory go infinite. The core is Phieraggi, La Borra, Clock Lancet, Laurel and use everything that buffs them to the max. The 2 weapons cause the Reaper to stutter so much he can't catch up with you.

Slight correction - the game only tells you what evolves with what, after you've already obtained that evolution one time on your own. Until such a time you do, the game doesn't tell you what evolves with what.
So, you still have to go through the discovery process before it shows you the evolution combinations. I've just heard you talk about it numerous times at this point, and wanted to let you know.
Thats not true, it shows all combinations even before you get the evolution!

@@cobrax236 Actually, *that* wasn't true at the time of posting this comment. They have since updated it to make it easier to tell what the evolutions are, namely with the "grim grimoire." However, this unlockable did not exist at the time of my comment, and everything I said *was* true at the time.

Dairy Plant minute 29 looks sooo much harder than enything else. These golems not only can't be knocked back but also seem to have absurd amounts of HP and there's enough of them to flood the screen in seconds.
How do u beat those

I think that if clocklancet was to have an evolution it would be with probably wings because moving through frozen enemies. The evolution would probably have something to do with whenever the lance hits 12.
If you look carefully after watching the whole video you can see yourself still being entertained despite this not being the extra long video for Patrick’s parabox
Pretty sure the clock lancet was using the same lanes as the lasers, I never actually saw the beam just the frozen monsters
Since extra projectiles also seem to increase the number of beams, then maybe going for a character with extra projectiles seems better than extra revives. You only get +2 revives and you can get +3 projectiles from a hero, so that would give more beams and revives don't do anything to other weapons while having more projectiles helps most of them.
I've gotten the guns with Mortaccio and it wasn't as good
revives also increase the damage of each beam.
Ok, so for gun build specifically revives are better then. But in general projectiles would still be much better since they also buff most other weapons and revives don't. So for best build I believe I'd go for projectiles, while for best gun build - revives.
@@Julius798 I mean the laser guns hard carry. When they are doing 16k DPS, they are the only weapon that really matter. They are strongest when you have revives because of extra damage, 12 beams vs 13 beams really won't make a difference, the enemies are being almost permanently hit by one of the beams. So the only thing that can make you lose is if they get past the beams, which will happen more often if you don't have the dmg.

I had a run today with Phieraggi, Vandalier, Moon, Vesper and La Bora with Pugnala.
The Damageoutput was absolutely insane xD

it does have a few, you can disable the flashing of some weapons and when enemies take damage, and the damage numbers.

i survived dairy plant minute 29 on green acres using garlic / bible combo. garlic makes it so you can actually knock the golems back a little
I would try Vandalier, Phieraggi, Evolved Pentagram, Laurel, Clock Lancet, and Thunder Loop (thunder loop can be interchangeable with Evolved Cross, Unholy Vespers, Evolved Song of Mana, La Borra, or Max Level Cherry Bombs)
Ben did a great job!
Swap empty tome and spellbinder for clover and bracer for actual max damage from the beams. They're constant so duration doesn't help, and they're constant so cool down doesn't help. Crit chance from clover does help and rotation speed from bracer makes it catch more of the screen.
They are not constant, they are pulsating. Duration doesn't help that's true. And while they have a crit as attribute in the code they can't crit.
Cool challenge idea:
Multi-run
Each time you complete a run, all (or some) of the selected items are effectively banished from the next run(s).
Could include meta upgrades.
First run easy enough, second run might get challenging, third run... all the best items would be taken. You'd have to plan "suboptimal" builds to extend longevity
you should defonantly use this with la borra with bracer empty tome duplicator and spellbinder this will get rid of the tiny weakness of the small inside of the beams and create a "sun" because over time la borra gets bigger and will deal massive dps and practically stuns the enemies so much they can even move anymore

I learned killing the green reaper with the rosary actually is something that works if that's something you'd wanna try to do :) idk if you ever found out what it does (it's not super special I just think it's interesting you can kill it)

Seems like CZcams's video compression does a better job when damage numbers are turned off. I've seen other videos that suffer from the bitrate limit a lot more than this video.
You should try the curse guy and get the curse item as a challange for maximum difficulty

Hey Tyler. Just here to say I’m sure you’ve gotten plenty of people correcting the evolved but it’s true. I’ve gotten vampire survivor recently because of your videos and it doesn’t show what items evolve what till after you evolve them.

I think spellbinder could have been replaced with bracer, since evolved guns have no downtime to begin with
They do have downtime if you don't have binder or tome but you only need 1 at 5 for full uptime

This video is exhibit A as to why I have flashing VFX turned off in the settings. The game gets so much easier to understand when the screen isn't flashing at you.

Yea, there are a lot of ways but they depend on what you play.
Depending on your Curse level only knockback won't do it because the enemies max out in spawns and push each other through.
Then next up, most enemies scale with your health, meaning the higher you become without an upgrade, the harder you make it. The golems melt for example to stacked la borra when you are level 20. Phieraggi also has the highest actual damage in the game and helps with that a lot. But you don't have to stay level 20 to beat them, was just an example where they die like flies.
Overall as long as you have some strong form of knockback you can still win comfortably as long as you run La Borra. The puddles stacking on top of each other deal a load of damage and each damage hit stutters the enemies slightly.

One interesting run you could try, although it takes a really long time to get going, is roll missingno until you get +3 revive and +3 amount, and then you get 6 extra lasers. I did this and it was a little miserable but the outcome ruled.
I think you might need to put a flashing lights warning for the end of the video, that shit flashing like mad

Feature idea: Select a weapon in the pause menu to make that one stand out or fade, so you can focus on a specific one, visually. (Most useful for Clock Lancet, probably, but would be nice to be able to pick).
(Edit: yes I know he's not the developer, geeze, just posting cuz I think he might like the idea, and because the devs do come around sometimes, and because I'm too lazy to go find their website or whatever.)
