Just a heads up, the cats can actually harm you. Their scratch attack has a chance to deal damage to you (decreasing with luck). The cat fight (scuffle) attack is one of the highest dps attacks in the game for a non-evolved weapon and does not harm you. Also, as the cats steal ground items they gain an affect, for instance for every ground chicken they pick up it increases the chance and damage of the cat fight.
Can confirm that a heavily chickened up Gatti Amari is one of the weapons capable of actually killing Death.
Getting killed by the cats is sometimes funny, I forget they damage the character sometimes

The final unlocks are basically rewarding you for for completing the game by being OP. Which is fitting for such a dopamine inducing game
@@MrBlinky10101 Limit Break requires Yellow Sign and defeating the special Capella Magna boss.
I absolutely love the four seasons and how each burst of each season shows the kanji that represents it, and then it evolves into the five elements from Japanese philosophy!

Hey Tyler, about the corrupted recording.
If you're using OBS and have the output set to MP4 I highly recommend changing it to save as MKV and then remuxing the file into an MP4 afterwards.
That way even if OBS crashes the recording is still not lost.

When you first played this game I knew I had to get it. Ever since then I've went and obtained all the achievements even when the game got updates. Glad to see you returning to this amazing game !
The “four seasons” explosions are in Chinese characters!
春夏秋冬 (chun1 xia4 qiu1 dong1), which is spring, summer, autumn, winter.
Edit: the evolved form has the character 空 (kong1), meaning emptiness. Using with the character 天 (tian1) makes 天空 (“sky emptiness”), which just means the sky.
Evolved form also has fire, wind, earth and something behind his facecam (probably water).
OH DUDE, that's so SICK, because in Japanese: 空 or そら or Sora (So-Ra (Soar-Uh)) is Sky as well, but they came to that conclusions through 天 (Ten1) and 空 (Sora1) or 天空 (Tenku1), which also means Sky, But 空 (Sora) is just easier and faster to say, so Japenese people Assume you mean sky when you say Sora, but in writing, you'd want to use Tenku, the entire word.
when i was trying to do this secret i used the same character but slowed down slightly so i ran at the same speed as my axe projectiles, which meant that more and more projectiles built up and i got a wall of death below me, instantly killing any enemy. it was tons of fun!

She has the highest base armor in the game for any character. That plus the evolved wand made her my most used character to do the harder achievements. Spider babe is deceptively good.

I'm really looking forward to Tyler finding more of the secrets of this game. While I haven't played the DLC, I had 100% completed the game before the DLC came out, and boy are there some very very fun secrets. All hail Queen Sigma!

A couple things.
During the first run, Duration was benefitting Tyler in a few ways. First, making the cat fights last longer. Second, making the invincibility last longer. Third, making Four Seasons/Godai Shuffle deal more damage. Four Seasons has a special interaction where amount and duration instead increase damage.
Gold Fever regains time for every bit of gold picked up, with larger sources giving more time. Monster gold coin < regular gold coin < gold bag < big gold bag. Additionally, as more and more gold is acquired, the rate at which the bar goes down increases.
Also, you only get an unlock at 31 minutes per non-dlc map. IIRC, you also get it even if you trigger true death before 31 minutes.

So the only two weapons that don’t do damage (laurel and lancet), actually have op evolutions, but you need to play the 5th map that is not a bonus map when there is a red moon flashing on the map icon, then, well you can just look it up later, but you definitely should try to get those two evolutions

I never knew that there was a magic mirror to get to that secret room, i just had a build that lagged the game so much that i could clip through the wall and get to it.
you should check out the Moongolow map.
You should do a run with the reaper and use all the weapons and items that buff your health and and survivability

My game glitched on mobile allowing me to unlock Leda despite being North of the starting point instead of the bottom where it gets dark. I was acquiring the Crimson Shroud and Infinite corridor to get Death and the survive 31 minute achievement to unlock the Out of Bounds arcana and for some reason, the special enemy you need to defeat spawned around the 28 minute mark. Then it happened again even after unlocking the secret character.

Oh the four season does follow the order of spring, summer, autumn, winter. Which is the correct order of the Chinese phrase and the actual seasons
Curse is honestly a bonus in most cases, not a negative. More enemies is more XP. Its like trying to make a Pokemon game more difficult by leveling up everything in the game by 3. All that happens is very early its harder, but once you beat a few battles, the bonus XP puts your level on the same +3 curve.
Here there are two difficulty spikes - the start when you didn't level up yet, and the final two minutes where levels are irrelevant (as you're maxed anyway) and unless your loadout works you get overwhelmed. More and stronger enemies is a limiter on what sort of end-run loadouts can get by.
Curse is a negative in the last 2 minutes of the game, when you’re already maxed on xp and the enemies are really strong. Since this is sometimes the hardest part of the game, I’d argue that curse is a net negative in that specific scenario.
But you’re right that it is a positive in many other parts.

The gold rush bar decreases faster the more coins you got in it so far. And getting gold regens it. And the maximum possible is about 2M

Protip: opening the map gives you access to the "open grimoare" button, which allows you to view all evolutions you've discovered (or all of their combinations, I'm not entirely sure after the DLC)

There is a secret in the dairy plant! Unfortunately, you do need to progress in the game and get a secret item in a stage you likely haven’t unlocked.
