      @@reshivolent But snakes as food are not only in Sulawesi, you even can find them in restaurant and food stall in Java, including in Jakarta. I have eaten cobra and python, and I got them from my own city, Bogor.

    I've not seen dog restaurant in korea for more than decade. Food purpose dog farming became illigal long ago.

      The reason Koreans ate dog meat is that decades ago the whole country was in danger of starving to death due to the war and lack of food. They had no choice but to eat survive. Not just us but other countries would have eaten unimaginable food now so as bot to starve to death when they go through war. And we already banned the act of eating dog meat itself.

    Minced sheep heart is a traditional food in Indonesia, it can be replaced with chicken liver or beef liver, the name is "sambal goreng ati"
    You can find the boiled sheep head in Indonesia every time there is an Eid al adha celebration
    in Indonesia, fried cricket is found in Papua
    paniki can be found in sulawesi
    in Indonesia there is "sego nyambek" which is food from monitor lizards

      Yeah if i'm use western opinion, there's a lot of weird and gross food in Indonesia. In my hometown, dog meats is very common "drinking companion food" and yeah that monitor fuckin' lizard meats is common to sell on the traditional market. I often wondered, why there's so many weird things to eat is very common on my hometown.

      Which is weird because I never ate them. Especially insects, reptiles, dogs, fruit bats and horses. Even rabbit is quiet weird for me 😅
      So I only eat cattles, chickens and fishes. My favorite is white meat. Oh, I did ate pig in the past but is not my favorite. Also with my current body condition, I can't eat them. It's gallstones. Although I have a surgery schedule this weekend (Saturday).
      Well maybe fruit bat meats are not recommended in Java island. Idk though. I never heard it in my city.

    Khash is not considered armenian food because its variations are also traditional dishes in Afghanistan, Albania, Azerbaijan, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Georgia, Greece, Iran, Iraq, Turkey, North Macedonia, Mongolia and some Persian Gulf countries. It belongs not only to them and was not created by the armenians.

    Honestly speaking, I never heard of this dish before. I don't think anyone eats pigs in India. And if anyone eats it, I didn't know about it. Doh-Khlieh sounded like Dhokla which is one of the most popular dishes of Gujarat(Indian State). I have visited Kashmir and I didn't saw anybody eating Doh-Khlieh or anybody selling it.

      Doh-Khlieh and Dhokla are completely different. Doh-khlieh is indeed pork brain and it's eaten in Meghalaya.

      Pork is not illegal .... Most of the Indian states have made consumption of beef illegal ... And as I said it's most not all ... And moreover some of the Hindus themselves eat beef .... Secondly everyone eats pork( except Muslims ).... Pork is a very common dish in South n North east India ....yeah It is only the Hindus of North India who don't consume pork...n I don't know the reason....bcoz it's nowhere said that Hindus can't it pork .. it's only suggested that Hindus should not eat beef ... Nothing is about pork .

      Di Cilacap malah pasar jual daging kelelawar tuh udh biasa sih tp gegara wabah covid yah akhirnya makin kesini makin sedikit yg ngejual sih.     As an Indonesian, I never eat "Paniki" (bat soup) because it's only available in certain area, mostly in North Sulawesi.
    But I've eaten another exotic foods, such as "fried grasshopper" from Gunungkidul Yogya.
    Oh I ate that food which basically bees larvae steamed in banana leaves.

    I am Swedish and we are famous for "surströmming" which is fermented fish, Baltic herring to be specific. Sold in cans and infamous for the scent. Personally I like it and I don't think the smell is that terrible, it's smells a bit salty.

    I am Colombian and the weirdest thing I eat are roasted hearts, from chickens turkeys or pigs. But the weirdest foods we have that I have heard of: Roasted big butt ants, stuffed chicken head, snail meatballs, a fat amazonian worm that is fried alive.

    6:21 as a Cambodian I want to say that A Ping is commonly known or can be found in KampongThom province. A Ping is literally mean the tarantulas and not every Cambodians eat it, including me. Also Jing Reed of Thailand is a very well known snack and can be found commonly almost everywhere, also Cambodia, and it’s what I eat since I was a kid

    I'm from the Philippines. To clear things out, It is a little bit wrong cause The narrator of the video said "It is prepared throughout the year for any special occasion during festivals and the holidays", maybe in few provinces but not whole country prepare this on a festival or holidays. We generally prepare Lechon Manok or Lechon Baboy. It should be Balut (Boiled Fertilized Developing Duck Egg Embryo)

    In Brazil we have some weird foods too, but I'll give just two examples hehe:
    1- "Rabada de boi"; It's basically cooked ox tail cut into small pieces, it tastes like average steak
    2- "Arroz doce" (The translation is literally "sweet rice"), it's rice cooked with coconut milk and condensed milk (I'm sorry for all the asians in this comment lol)
    I've eaten both of them and they're really good!! :)
