What?!? That's awesome! Did you build em yourself on cad or something or are they on thingiverse. I can't imagine carrying 3 go pros and huge heavy ass battery. Thats a shit ton of weight. Do you know the max weight one of your big quads and carry? Might be a cool video to strap a bunch of batteries to a quad, weigh each battery, and see what it can fly with
So cool I wanna do some mountain surfing flights. Looks so fun. But probably nerve-wracking at the same time 😂
You got that right, but that's part of the rush of flying long range, if you hit a rock at 90kph halfway up a mountain the leftovers might not be worth the difficult hike.

Great Presentation! i see you are in analogue vtx. It seemed to me that you had gone digital. Maybe i was mistaken. I'm thinking about keeping a setup with a reaper or switching to digital O3. ✌
Oh yes I have started flying digital. But I'm still getting comfortable with my DJI setup. If a long range flight seems at all risky I'll use my analog setup. There are more videos coming that are made using my DJI builds.
nice footage and drone build overview!!! building your 7 incher right now and definitely analog!! is the digital recovery time an inherent characteristic or? funny how others don't make mention of this...
Oh great, I hope your build goes smoothly! The recovery time for video is about the type of digital video display algorithm that DJI uses (probably walksnail as well I'm guessing, nut not HD Zero, it has analog style break up with weak signal. It uses a different way of displaying HD video) With the DJI system it needs to have a full frame worth of video data or else it will wait until it does before continuing with video display.

what's the distance out n back in this vid? are there any commercially available helical antennas (comparable) on the market you are aware of or specs for your pair of antennas? I believe you have a build vid for them?
It was maybe 1.5k up the canyon. I have seen a few 6 turn helical antennas at FPV stores, how they would compare I'm not sure. I've only ever used my own DIY antennas for analog FPV. Here's the build video for them that I made czcams.com/video/aH0cW9XJ4D4/video.html
