  • With yellow engine warning on the dash and unit pump issues showing on jaltest, things were not looking good for this old euro 6 DAF CF.
    But with the help of Jaltest smart guides i could work through the technical information available and successfully diagnose the issues presented to me.
    as always anything i use in the video such as the leads can be found over at www.trucktechuk.com/product-p...

      @@TRUCKTECHUK Your videos have already helped me, I recently had a similar failure with the steering column tape on a CF 410, but it caused a problem with the lights, they stayed on all the time even though the vehicle was off. I initially checked and exchanged the CMR and CMF with a vehicle without faults. but it was still the same. In conclusion, the fault was in the steering angle band.

    I’m assuming you already know but one flat of the bolt head is 60 degrees, good video 👌🏻

    • @TRUCKTECHUK
      @TRUCKTECHUK  Před 2 měsíci

      Hey Franz, I've never looked 😂 I've always gone off what's on the technical data in front of me. The only time I've noticed torque markings on bolts is Cummins head bolts when I've measured and inspected them for re-use

    • @Franz_giblet
      @Franz_giblet Před 2 měsíci +1

      @@TRUCKTECHUK oh I meant as in the distance between one flat of the bolt head is 60 degrees, which is why their angles are normally multiples of 60 so when you’re tightening the bolt you can use it to work out 60 degrees.

    • @TRUCKTECHUK
      @TRUCKTECHUK  Před 2 měsíci

      Ah yes! I wish we had a torque figure and a standard angle torque! One day I'm doing a torque figure then 150 degrees, another day I'm doing I'm doing 30 degrees for fuel pipes...... 90 for injectors and in this case 60 unit pumps 😂😂😂😂.

      Hey buddy thanks for the comment. Unfortunately, it's people who aren't educated in diagnostics and believe putting expensive components on will rectify it, whereas testing is just charging that little bit more labour bout will yield the correct component at fault (usually😂)
