I call this "Prawn Smoothie & Yoghurt"
Haiyaa
We sri lankans 🇱🇰 cannot do this without our curry powder.
Today I made the same without ginger and mango chutney but added tomato, tumeric and curry powder with curry leaves. 🖤💗
That's what I expected from a curry
I still don't understand why he didn't add curry lmao
We in Trinidad and Tobago as well cant call it curry without curry powder, some gerra or a masala mix.
we cant do this without coconut milk and our mothers would hit us with a wooden spoon if they saw that we burnt our rice
I am with you guys, I just watched this twice, and its definitely curry with no curry powder !
Waiting for Uncle Rodger to react to this 😂
Actually let's not. Him putting his leg down from his chair is the last thing he want to do.
Using olive oil in curry? I can feel my ancestor crying . I don't know what he thinks of rice cake, but nope that is not rice cake/lontong/nasi impit I've imagined. Also, rice and rice cake is a totally different thing. That's just plainly white rice😑
Fried rice, Thai green curry, and now this?😭😭😭
1 chili too. And when he made “laksa” he described himself as a “spice freak”. You gotta be kidding me
I love how he calls it a curry when there isnt even any in it, this should be called prawn goulash with burnt rice
Haiyaaaaaaaa
Don’t forget the burned garlic
I cannot stop laughing and am looking at how he cook rice after uncle Roger's review
Oh my god! I laughed so hard at his "rice cake" so ridiculous!!!
@@eljaytee26 it’s just a take on a “rice cake” cooking is literally however someone decides it to be
I crunch up my rice like that all the time. It's soooo good.
Loving that outdoors setup!
"More Sauce, More Sauce" Put that on a t-shirt already 🤩 ! Love man
that would make goooooood merch
I can’t cook would be a good one or Jamie olive oil because he uses it where it shouldn’t be used
Delicious thank you. From Switzerland
Fantastic and easy
Have a little care and respect Jamie for the food you are cooking. Prawn curry even a quick recipe is about CURRY. For food's sake, stop using mango chutney as curry base. It's utter nonsense.
You're asking too much
Wow... so good!
The best Chef
This was a Very Beautiful and Simple Dish Chef,
Thank you
Love him to bits...Love his recipes..
U need to wash starch from rice, basically the dusk of rice😂😂
Lovely prawn curry Jamie i always love your cooking. You are a brilliant cook lots and lots of love Amy from Spain Javea
Lovely 👌🏻 Greetings from Scotland 😊 Have a wonderful day everyone 🌻
Greetings from Guatemala!! Wonderful day to you, too!!! 👏🏻
Dat crispy rice u called rice cake was interesting to me cause we Persian always make rice with dat crispy part but a different method thnx for the recipe Jamie ❤
This is Beautiful
Thank you 👌
Nice cooking thanks for sharing keep safe always there friend
Ya me dio hambre Oliver con eso tan apetitoso
Always wash rice 2-3 times before cooking it. It removes the excess starch.
The starch helps the rice to stick together, if washed, it would fall apart.
@@Mavis-pl9xf No if you want rice to stick, simply increase the amount of water in proportion to your rice.
@@Mavis-pl9xf you're obviously not asian 😅
Came here after watching Uncle Roger's reaction to "Thai Green Curry" to see if things have changed at all... nope still not curry. Like totally appreciate throwing together healthy and easy recipes with what's commonly accessible, but c'mon man, show some respect. How would you feel if a popular Indian chef rolled up some pre-packaged roast beef in sliced white bread, sloshed some canned gravy overtop, and called it "Easy Beef Wellington"? And what if that turned into people's conception of classic British food?
Lol cry harder
@@personperson143 Nah, I think that's just the right amount of "cry" for something like this. Wouldn't want to come off as overreacting. Besides, gotta save some "cry" for when I see your face!
@@personperson143 It isnt really curry since curry is like a paste
@@haydenwidjaja311 what? Curry is not like a "paste".
@@deepakmenon6720 Idk how to say it,like it looks like a paste but its like thick liquid
“I’m gonna wash my hands” 😆
Why was it necessary to edit that bit in? 😂 2:28
I can’t get it out of my head that it’s thanks to you, Jamie, that England’s eating better. Families no longer have excuses, we can cook simply and deliciously
Tell that to the sugar tax. Thanks to that more foods now than ever are now stuffed with chemical sweeteners that are the opposite of healthy. These taxes on supposed 'unhealthy food ingredients' have also put a strain on the pockets of working class families, pushing many to the breadline. While not Jamie's fault per se, his backing of these taxes certainly hasn't helped.
The real issue regarding healthy eating and the time management of such falls to education, which has always lacked. Adding taxes has done nothing but cause damage and stress.
@@Numeriku Hi, where is the evidence that the sugar tax has pushed many working class families "to the breadline"? I'd like to read up on it.
I mean this isnt an actual type of curry,I mean I bet its good but its most likely less of curry and more like some form of suace and shrimp
Lol if you call this eating better than you're fucked. The way he cooks this fake curry and his "crispy rice" is bullshit. That is why his restaurants all failed
Помню его еще совсем юнцом) эх, как же летит время...
The rice cake looks nice. Just, we make it everyday!!
Good food.. 😊😊
Обожаю! Божьих благословений!

Just Woow!! Love from Tunisia Jamie!
Did you used Chili jam?
That s a classic dish you make looks so easy to me but I will try it for sure tempting mate Thanks for a very nice video Malta eu bye bye
Ur not supposed to put yogurt in curry but maybe some of them are.
Ur not supposed to blend the paste after you cook it on the pan you supposed to blend it first then cook it onto the pan, you supposed to blend garlic, shallots, ginger, galangal, turmeric and, chili make sure it's the spicy one and then you cook the paste.
You have to put flatten lemon grass and throw some star anise, cumin, clove, and nutmeg and the important thing is coconut cream and you wanna simmer the paste and don't forget to stir it make sure it doesn't burn on the bottom of the pan and then you place the shrimp one by one and cook it and then done.
And then the rice, use jasmine rice and cook it with 1 and ¼ cup of water and use rice cooker. And after it's cooked fluff the rice so it doesn't became clumpy we want rice that's dry and not clumpy, we don't eat rice cake! If we wanna eat rice cake we pound the rice or we cook our rice inside a banana leaves and boil it there is no way Asians will cook rice cake on a pan.
Eat it on a plate with a side of cucumber, tomato or maybe lime if you want to and then enjoy your meal.
Easy and simple. Not what I was expecting but I’m giving it a go!
Any time my rice goes like that I start again. 😂
Listen and learn👍😂🤭
✍That looks divine
✍Thanks
Beautiful stuff again, Jamie ❤️
STOP IT GENTLY YOURE MAKIN ME HUNGRY!! Lovely !!!

That looks delicious Jamie👏🏾👏🏾😍🙌
Mouth watering 🍤🍤
Jamie Oliver has millions of dollars and yet he still can’t afford a rice cooker.
Haiyaa, he didn't even wash the rice, Mr chilli jam has become Mr mango chutney
How do you think our Asian ancestors cooked rice? I’m not East Asian, but one thing I know as an Asian is that you are not a good Asian if you don’t know how to properly cook rice without a rice cooker.
@@zuhraa4171Psst we aren't in the olden days Grandpa. Get with the times. It's faster and easier
美味しそうに魅せる天才!!
Wash the rice first to make it less starchy and to get rid of dirt. Then soak it for a while. Finally, it should be cooked in a saucepan not a wide pan. 2 times the amount of water is too much if it's a saucepan and it's soaked. A little over 1.5 times is a good measure
Wonderful 😁㊗️
Have a beautiful weekend everyone✨❤
Same to you
Masha Allah yummy food
I will try ☺☺🙏
So wonderful! Love you in 🇨🇦
My son says, oh look it’s your boyfriend Jamie, hahahaha

Nice rice cakes and the prawn curry is fragrant and different without the usual indian spices 👍🏻
Please Dont call this curry,, he didnt even put any curry in it
If it without curry spices/Indian spices, how can it call curry😂

I went on a date recently with someone who had this irrational fear of prawns. Wouldn't touch them. I don't understand it! How could you not like prawns!?!?
Prawns are amazing! I don't get how someone wouldn't want to eat them.
If you think deeply, prawns are more related to scorpions and spiders than fish, and they store their goo in the heads. They are delicious btw.
It’s a red flag.
Prawns aren't for everyone same with bacon/pork. Some don't want to eat dirty animals.
Amazing! How is this a curry 😱
Loved it. Beautiful!
I’m hungry for it 🤤
How can I get the recipe. thanks
Yummy 😋😋😋
