Some angel ordered a Lariat Tremor and decided they didn’t want it, or died…I dunno but thanks for the truck stranger! I frickin love this thing. And lmao…the horn. I blew it the first time the other day and it got MY attention I was like “WHO YOU HONKIN AT BUDD-oh…”
Things I do not miss about my Tacoma: tractor level ride quality, Toy Story on Ice on wet pavement, 2WD couldn’t traverse wet grass, panel squeak (seriously when will OEMs discover felt tape for mated plastic surfaces), “grass is always greener on the other side of the gear” transmission forever searching for the perfect one to be with.
Things I will miss about my Taco: The looks. The informal Taco Parking Lot Club. Maybe that trade in value (cause goddamn i basically borrowed it)
Great Video - bought a Mav Tremor partly because of this video - everything stated in this video is spot on.
I can't wait for my Maverick Tremor XLT.

I’ve had a first edition lariat hybrid for about a year now… I love it.
if you would have started this off with "the foam density (of this seat) is better than a Cadillac escalade" that would have been enough for me
Would only consider the tremor if they could keep the 4000lbs towing. I need it to be a truck before a toy.
This is the vehicle I'm replacing my ST with. Do a ton of biking and a kid now, so life changed but still wanted something fun.

Breaks my heart they couldn't offer the 4k towing package with the Tremor package. Put my order in as FX4 instead of Tremor because 4k towing will be critical for my use case.
same thing here i got the xlt fx4 4ktow but i woulda gotten the tremor if it had 4ktow
We would love to see that as an option as well. Spring rate is driving most of the tow rating.
@@TexasTruckChannel If people are installing a spring suspension lift with heavier-duty springs and shocks, would it be comparable to a 4K pkg, or would it be missing a heavier receiver hitch, 7-pin, tranny cooler, etc.?
Cutting the towing capacity in half was idiotic.
You can not order that! Only for the dealers so they can mark up
@@RKmndo the issue with the tremor towing isn’t the springs. The truck uses a different rear end clutching design in the awd that’s akin to the ford focus rs which doesn’t have the durability to tow the same. You get better “performance,” but lose the durability.

Thanks, very nice video. Couple things that you forgot to mention. Beside the rear lockers being different than other Maverick's, so is the trail control. Also gear ratio changes from std 3.63 to 3.81.
Unfortunately the Tremor package reduces fuel economy, payload capacity, and towing capabilities. So i ordered the FX4, 4K tow, and p235 tires/wheels. I'll probably miss the lockers but i see myself using the improved fuel economy, 4k tow, and payload capabilities far more often. Whats the sense of lockers if you can't use the truck for recovering another vehicle? The 2000 max towing and the 200lbs loss of payload was definitely a deterrent or no way, at least for myself or my way of thinking. Besides I'm buying the truck for mikeage and the tremor package has 5 mpg difference for highway mileage.

That key fob is exactly the same as the one in my 2006 CRV. Ford didn't invent the key, people. And they didn't put it there to be sensible, they did it to be cheap.
First, the hybrid 2.5 l has a 2000 lb tow capacity, the 2.0 ecoboost has a 4000 lb. tow capacity. I've got a Hybrid. Normally I get around 800-840 kms. per tank. Wouldn't trade it for the world. However I did put a 2" lift on it and some A/T tires.
Correct, the tremor with the 2.0 ecoboost stays at the 2,000 tow rating. The non tremor 2.0 with the max tow package is bumped to 4,000.
You missed the 2 door f150 tremor with 3.5 ecoboost. Was more of a sports truck it was on the 2011 -2014 Gen F150
The Maverick is a car with a small pickup bed, and there isn't anything wrong with that. I wish I could look at one and test drive it.

@@markschneider1396 I test drove a 2023 XLT yesterday. The bed was even smaller than I was already expecting, and the complaints of how plasticky and cheap the interior looks and feels isn't exaggerated. That being said, it is what it is and I did like how well it handled being a FWD. At slow speeds there was a weird "gear hunting" where it would suddenly lose horse power but then regain it. The acceleration when merging to highway was great though. I think I might still order a 2024 but now I'm def second guessing a 32k price for all the addons and packages I was wanting to get. Def a 22k truck tops.
Test drive one before you buy.

Only reason to have a Maverick is for it's Hybrid version and if you want performance stick with the 2.0 4K package.
“Not dampened”, it’s a truck, it’s a light tailgate, this is the Texas Truck Channel. If an undampened light tailgate is an issue perhaps a minivan with a hands free power liftgate is something worth checking out. Grow a pair.
Not impressed but it’s a money complaint not anything about the vehicle. I guess others can see value. One thing I like is the more realistic 4WD.

Not trying to be rude, but how often do you or others look at the engine bay? You can also order a engine cover for the escape? I believe, that fits the maverick
