The baby booboos had my crying... my toddler went on a screaming tirade for about an hour in the middle of the night. The nurse line told us to head to the ER... they did an exam, said he was fine and gave him a popsicle and he started acting like himself. I was so embarrassed 🤣 I wish I had known a popsicle would make everything all better
Welcome to parenthood. Where the box itself, is far _more_ entertaining than the $4500.00 gift inside of it... it only gets weirder, from here. *SIGH!😂😂😂
If youre embrassraces that your toddler does that then youll be embarrassed af to live with my 9 year old sister who crys like she broke a bone whenever she gets a drop of mud on her leg
AND, having him for a tech. would have made your life a _whole_ lot more fun too. BUT you'd have picked up a _nasty_ of habit of sayin' "Mother Fucker" to all people in general. Don't worry though, _they_ may not like it but I'm here for ya! 😂😂😂
And more pleasant & funny, instead like some of the grumpy & wonder why they wanted that job. I had one nurse (after I had my gallbladder surgically removed, and wanted me to stand up. I told her I wouldn't without my slippers on, so she annoyingly put them on. When I started to srand I said it hurt too much & she said fine & literally took my slippers off & threw them at me. Little biatch, I should have reported her.
Let me say, before I had my TMJ surgeries, my jaw would lock both open and closed at different times and would occasionally pop out of it's socket when I would try to unlock it. It was absolutely terrible and I'm so glad I forked over the money for the surgeries (all 3 of them). I'm also glad my surgeon was willing to argue with my insurance when they said the surgery was "unnecessary." Edit: my sister's first Easter involved her deciding that running through the fire ant mound was the fastest route to take.
I was literally so clumsy as a baby I had two concussions before the age of two my parents were very concerned about me especially with my first concussion where they said I walked around looking like I was drunk but they also found it hilarious.
I was rushed to the er in an ambulance because of excruciating stomach pain recently and I was so proud of myself for knowing some of the lingo they said like A&O
When I was 5, my sister dropped me on a marble windowsill while we were playing a game. It almost took my left eye out. I screamed bloody murder as did my sister. Our mom came running into the room and rushed me to the ER. I was spazzing out (as any 5 year old would when there’s blood flowing from the side of their eye) and they had to redo my stitches *3 times* because I couldn’t stop moving. My mom tried holding me still. Then my mom and a nurse. Then like 3 nurses while my mom held my head. They finally got them in and I was eventually able to go home. I had this big gauze pad over the stitches and I was going to daycare the next day. My mom told my teacher what happened so she knew to pay attention to me. I, of course, hated the feeling of it next to my eye so I decided taking it off was a good idea. My teacher ran over, recovered my cut, and told me and my friends to not touch it. I’m pretty sure I tried taking it off several times through the day. I still have a small indent in my skin right next my eye and it really shows how close I was to being half blind. 😬
Your channel is awesome. Not only just informative and fascinating, but absolutely hilarious with all of your mind-blowing wild experiences on the job. Keep it up, we appreciate you!
I ❤this guy ! When I’m feeling blue I often visit this channel. He’s looking nice (really cute!!) and he’s funny and makes me smile - from my heart ❤️ Thank you so much 🙏
So, when I was in like 5th grade, I used to pull my hair out due to stress. I've stopped pulling my hair, but I switched it to pulling out my dead ends and picking the hell out of my scalp. it would bleed in multiple spots, but no one noticed because I have dark hair. I stopped for a while and my scalp finally fully healed after years of picking at it. But some stuff happened recently in my personal life, and now I'm back to picking at it. I am very open about it because I don't realize I'm picking at my scalp until I feel blood, so I tell my friends and family, and people who do my hair and stuff do they know my background. That and if they see me, they could help remind me to stop picking at my scalp. Friendly reminder, to find healthy ways to fidget when anxious, I'm currently looking for stuff that works for me. I recently seen a lava rock covered in like a latex and it comes with a little tool to pick out the latex. I would like to get that, and it may work for you to stop picking at your skin
Trich sucks, had it since I was a kid too at one point had bald patch and open wound too💔. I found a group online that helps a bit, plus I'm slowly doing better life wise. My hairs long now so the short patches are still pretty obvious😅. Wishing you all the best
Why is it funny. When I was little I cut open my head by hitting the coffee table and jumping on the couch🤣🤣🤣 And my mom said I never cried or screamed when they were putting stitches in my head, she said all I did was trying to speak spnish🤣🤣🤣
Yooooo kinda same I cracked my head open when I was 5 because my brother bodyslammed me on a table and my mom said I never cried I just kept trying to remember my spelling words for school
Me: *pokes myself* Docter: well fuck, because of the hypergluton on the tip of the needle, your injury area is now cumflefluffed, aka, your gonna fucking die
Alert and oriented always makes me laugh because they'll send at least 3 different nurses to ask me these questions and I go ahead and already answer them before they ask cuz please just check me already 😂 I appreciate though, always love to see the work and care they put into their patients. Can't ever rememeber the date so I just say the day of the week and they let me pass with it 😂
Tips from the ER: If you watch Stevieo videos while waiting in the ER, Security will have a conversation with you... Make sure you use headphones MUFCKR!
A friend of mine was rushed to the ER for kidney stones because he ate too much industrial foods full of salt and only drank Coke. I think he really loved his stay at the ER because he didn't stop eating and drinking junk after that
My little brother cracked open his head at age 3. I sat in a room opposite to his as I was also a child when he was getting his stitches. I will NEVER forget his screams.
The Easter part is exactly why I had my dad help me with my daughter when it was her first Easter. We held her hand and I kept her away from ant hills and ran ahead to grab any trash that might be in the field so she doesn't grab it and get hurt. She's my first one so I may go a bit overboard with trying to take care of her but I'd rather be safe then sorry.
lol Speaking of pranks, this was Halloween instead of April fools but I did my "Frazzled Mom" costume. I put strong magnets in the bottom of a baby carrier. After coming out of the grocery store, I placed said baby carrier on the trunk of my car and drove off. Everyone in the parking lot started screaming and running toward my car. That was the end of my Frazzled Mom costume. I figured that would end up getting someone hurt, most likely me and I would have deserved it. There was no baby in it, just in case anyone was wondering.
The first time I hit my head and it started bleeding, I just didn't even notice until I felt my head. Good thing it didn't bleed as much as you'd expect, and I genuinely didn't even panic.
My dad got 3 huge kidney stones while he was in Paris for work and the only person who spoke English there was the doctor, lol. That was super fun for him. His bill was like 11$, but here in America with his shitty insurance it would have been in the thousands
I've had mostly great nurses like this. Male and female. TMI alert 😱 During cancer treatment i ended up with the infamous impacted bowel. 💩 Who knew that no food in and no poo out for 3 weeks was such a huge deal right? My guy nurse and the young dr who had to manually help me had to put up with my billion and one poo jokes lol thank goodness he was a Steve lol. He said he'd rather have a bunch of wisecracking poop stuck patients than some that he gets lol. I can only imagine what Steveioe would say lol. 🤣 I sent a card to the ER dr and nurse 2 days later with the simple message. "Thanks for the help. Pipes are all clear and empty now" lol. A good nurse friend of mine saw my name and the card and told me they were really touched and that the card was on the break room wall.
Kidney stones. O.M.F.G. Those things HURT! Seriously. I've had stones, and I've had children. Those stones hurt way more than childbirth. I've also had sonic lithotripsy and laser lithotripsy. The sonic one makes me feel like I wandered through a mosh pit. And in all cases, they put that damned stent in there, which tricks the bladder into thinking it needs to evacuate. Yeah, you understood right: a constant need to pee, even when there's nothing in there. Drink water, motherfkers. Ain't worth it.
Dang. I wish they had tranquilized me when I was a small child getting stiches. They strapped me down to a small board with velcro instead. This happened to me twice. It was awful.
Try to make this quick. I was in a foam pit (ball pit but foam blocks). I was on the floor making them kiss or smthn, and a kid was above me, open mouth. Jumped up quick, his top teeth went through my scalp. Bleed everywhere. Wouldn't leave until I redeemed my tickets (it is an arcade place), which was for a football. I wanted it as it was a big game for the team we root for. My grandparents were getting a dead family members dog to take in, and we live with them. Everyone is panicking. I didn't have to be held down by anyone, at 4. I was too busy trying to pick a singular lollipop. Didn't cry at all the whole time. The only thing that hurt was the staple a day later lol
My jaw was dislocated at 14 years after an accident. I had so much pain and "enjoyed" the concequences for 17 years. Eventually I was operated on, 🙌🏽 thank God.
Jaw got snapped in half and a double fracture. When they were removing part of my jawbone with only local anesthetic I asked to have my arms tied down (a trick I learned because I naturally attack the people who are hurting me, and it helps me handle pain much more) I was screaming bloody murder when the doctor looked at me and said "You are right you do have a high pain tolerance, most everyone else would have passed out by now" she also said I was the only person to ask for the arm starps.
I had that procedure done to remove a cyst and it's awful! It wasn't just a couple days of the dressing treatment, it was weeks! And it stings! Which actually means it's working but still not fun. A dressing is when they stuff the wound with medicated gauze like he explained.
While deployed, I had several abscesses on my face 3 times over. Medical kept giving meds, and only one worked, others made it worse. They never cut it open
@5amiann I mean my cat opened and cleaned an abscess between her toes herself. The vet only gave her an antibiotic shot because of the litterbox. Not all human abscesses need medical attention.
The way you describe putting the jaw back in place makes me think of installing a heatsink+fan on a computer CPU or popping in a graphics card. You know it's a bit delicate but sometimes you really need to cram it in there!
My oldest ended up in the er, not for stitches. But he had just turned 3, and he had something called an intussusception, where the small bowel basically telescopes on itself. My little trooper did so good when they had to do the iv, however, we found out that day hes a runner when he's in extreme pain. He tried to take off screaming down the hall with a iv in his arm. Nurses and I had a lot of fun with him that day..
@ 8:06 1)ESWL (Lithotripsy), 2.)Cystoureteroscopy with Manipulation (stone basketing), 3.) pyleothotomy-Slicing skin, fat, kidney, then pick out stone! 2a.) Cystourteroscopywith laser-in the pee hole(urethra) , through the bladder, up the ureter then laser either stone in ureter or kidney! 4.) if you have severe pain, and dirty urine, or producing no urine.. you will get a stent placement-small tube deployed to drain kidneys until infection clears up.. then you can do 1-3! Ummmm-Your welcome world ! 😊🎉
When my oldest son was little he fell into the corner of the coffee table busting the bottom of his eye open. I took him to the ER and they used superglue to close it back up. I thought oh how interesting to use that. Well…he was only 2. So what did he do after putting the glue on? He squinted. So he ended up gluing his whole eye shut. So then the doctor had to prescribe me an ointment to help dissolve the glue instead of it eventually pealing/flaking off like what would of happened if it worked out like the doctor was hoping. I’m just glad that it didn’t get in his eye
“Why are you here?” “Because I told my mom I have demons killing me every night but she thinks I’m crazy and took me here! AM I DEAD?! NO! I DO NOT NEED TO BE HERE”
I once fell and split my ear + a bit of my scalp open. It bled like hell since it was a head injury and I basically went into shock and thought I was gonna die when I saw that my arm was covered in blood (I wiped my ear with it by reflex). It wasn't that bad though, my husband who has first aid training patched me up. I ended up with a concussion, but that was all.
I still have a scar/hole in my leg from the staphylococcus abscess; right above my Achilles. They injected the novacaine, and it hurt so bad I had bruises on my chest from squeezing the bed so hard, it was such a shock of pain, I think I almost passed out, and it lasted a wile, but the procedure; nothing
Story that happened a few weeks ago- One day me and my 3 friends went to a park, she started messing around and then my started taking the kids off all of the bins. One of my friends wanted to hide under one and run. It’s safe to say that backfired terribly, when she ran she fell over and a screw cut her head. I had to walk her home because it was bleeding and she was about to faint later that night she messaged me saying her almost had to go to the er it got that bad.
When I ran into a wire fence as a toddler I split head from nose into temple hairline.. i was not crying, untilmy mother screamed. But I refused treatment until they provided me with a mirror so I could watch them do the 85 stitches properly. I cried when they removed the stitches.😅
2:46 I had to have a jaw surgery because I was born with either an overbite or an underbite, can't remember. I can still move my bottom jaw in front and behind my top jaw, but not as much as I use to. I had to have three jaw surgeries. The first one was planned, the other two were not. The second surgery was because I broke a titanium plate. The third time was because something, I think it was a screw, got infected. They had to wire my mouth shut, but the wires fell apart due to a mix of me drinking too much cola and a wire poking my lip that I was trying to cut off. It was a wild ride.
The baby booboos had my crying... my toddler went on a screaming tirade for about an hour in the middle of the night. The nurse line told us to head to the ER... they did an exam, said he was fine and gave him a popsicle and he started acting like himself. Yeah.. 😁 Kids are the dumbest people 😂
No sometimes they just want smth sweet so that nurse just basically said shhhh and the lovely child listened.
If Tips from the ER is not the most iconic intro I don’t know what is.
“hey vsauce, michael here”
Hilarious. I wish you were my Tech every time I went to the ER. I think it would make things a lot easier

Yep

Hahaha 🤣 I repeated it a few time laughing, then had a hell of a time trying to say it correctly! 🤣

New drinking game: Drink some water every time Steve says to hydrate
I'd say ever time he says MrFKR but we'd never make it to the end of a video and end up in ER lol 😆

Easter, a rough morning for little Tommy!
Watching this and realizing you’ve watched each and every one on tiktok 😉
My little brother cracked open his head at age 3. I sat in a room opposite to his as I was also a child when he was getting his stitches. I will NEVER forget his screams.
As a dental professional, an abcess that I get to incise is the favorite part of my day!

It's so true, when I was 3 years old I accidentally cut open my head while playing with my aunt, it took 5 nurses to hold me down and stitch my head.
the stepbrothers reference at the end of the spontaneous pneumothorax clip got me. "so much more room for activities!" that was great
I remember my sister and my friend were dropping metal hot wheels from the top of a playhouse

The best part about this is the voice crack he had
when my brother started walking he somehow split his forehead open and needed glue. we still have no idea how he did that
I fucking love this guy's videos, every time I've been in the hospital why the fuck couldn't you have been my nurse lmao it would have been awesome

@ 8:06 1)ESWL (Lithotripsy), 2.)Cystoureteroscopy with Manipulation (stone basketing), 3.) pyleothotomy-Slicing skin,fat,kidney,then pick out stone!

I once saw the dentist put a jaw back together when I was working there. She said it was the first time she did that. With a 30+ years of experience
**this is both scaring me and making me laugh**
“Why are you here?”
“Because I told my mom I have demons killing me every night but she thinks I’m crazy and took me here! AM I DEAD?! NO! I DO NOT NEED TO BE HERE”
Abscess haha that tomato and cheese sauce flowing out 🤪🤪🤪😝 if you are lucky you get some strawberry milkshake am I right?
'there goes the mendable'
I died
My dad has gotten plenty of kidney stones in his life, one of them was the size of a peanut m&m 😐
"If it will work on a horse,..., it will work on a baby!
I can relate to the first one not because I worked at the Er it’s because when I was a toddler I jumped off the couch and broke my arm
Aye this mans is funny
I once fell and split my ear + a bit of my scalp open. It bled like hell since it was a head injury and I basically went into shock and thought I was gonna die when I saw that my arm was covered in blood (I wiped my ear with it by reflex). It wasn't that bad though, my husband who has first aid training patched me up. I ended up with a concussion, but that was all.
It hurt when I heard about the abscess!
Blood from the scalp **Cough eeg nurse**
He has a zit but I love him!🤗
I still have a scar/hole in my leg from the staphylococcus abscess; right above my Achilles. They injected the novacaine, and it hurt so bad I had bruises on my chest from squeezing the bed so hard, it was such a shock of pain, I think I almost passed out, and it lasted a wile, but the procedure; nothing
I got a head wound when I was younger and it was glued and it hurt... a lot
dark humour at its finest !!!!!

Me:༼;´༎ຶ ༎ຶ༽
Story that happened a few weeks ago- One day me and my 3 friends went to a park, she started messing around and then my started taking the kids off all of the bins.
0:24 TV stand was me..... still have the scar

I had to have a jaw surgery because I was born with either an overbite or an underbite, can't remember.
Ok I suddenly realize that I have dislocated my jaw more than once
The first one happened to me I cut the side of my mouth open when I was about 2 or 3 and still have the scar
