  • In this video I show you why the brake sensor may not work correctly, how you can fix it and how you can replace the brake sensor of the NAMI Klima/Blast/Burn-e equipped with the Logan brakes.
    Edit: it can also be the spring inside the brake lever that gets stuck and maybe let the sensor activate the electric brake. To solve that you need to open the brake sensor cap with torx bit (t10), take out the spring and expand it a little bit. Proceed with the mounting and follow the steps shown in the video.
    Ride safe.

    Thank you for the tutorial where did you buy the sensor cable? I have the same problem.

      please check also the spring inside the brake lever and see if it is too compressed. Open up the screws where the sensor is and take the spring out, pull them apart (so it gets a little bit longer) and put it back in.
      If you are located in Europe you can send me an email if you need a brake sensor.

    I lost my bolt for the brake sensor. Is it something i could purchase online? If so, what is it called?

    Hey mate, thanks for the video.. If I upgrade my brake levers to something without a sensor - do I lose any important functions? (I know I'll lose the brake light and the indicator on the dash, but is there anything else?)

    • @HalbknappEScooterShop
      @HalbknappEScooterShop  Před rokem

      if you change to Brakes without a sensor you lose the electric brake/motor brake and thus you have higher wear on the brake pads.
      But use the Logan brakes and unplug the cables of the brake sensors. I like the Logan Brakes a lot.

      @@HalbknappEScooterShop I've turned off the regen braking (put the setting to 0), so it is purely just the brakes doing the braking. I guess the only other thing is that you lose the ability for the motor to not work when brakes applied. Thanks for the reply though!

    I wonder what is failing in the brake sensor, it doesn't look like it's a moving part? My left sensor on mine is bad at only 5 miles, I'm waiting on a replacement now (Klima Max), otherwise it's a super nice scoot! Oh, I'm going to try to loosen the steering on mine, it's probably stiff for more stability but I find it a little annoying.

      @HalbknappEScooterShop  Před rokem +2

      besides the things I already mentioned in the video, we have found out that the spring inside the brake lever is sometimes too compressed. So open up the screws where the sensor is and take the spring out, pull them apart (so it gets a little bit longer) and put it back in. Also check the sensor again if it is too far inside.
      For Europe I can send out brake sensor if needed. just send an email to shop@halbknapp.at
      @ steering: on all Nami Klima, I had so far, the steering was fine, just as it should be. Maybe you where used to a looser steering from your older scooter?

      Thank you, yes, my lever is on the left grip away from the throttle, it must be the spring as you mentioned. My retailer is finally sending a replacement.
      I will get the steering sorted, it's stiff and "gritty feeling", needs good grease and properly torqued for smoother action. Thanks again!

      Hey, just unpack your Nami Klima and check the brakes. This issue is not on every unit but it can be on yours.
      If so check all the things I said in the video and of course check the spring (as mentioned in the video description)

    I got my name today after riding like 5 or 8 mins I got this brake activation on the display. My scooter now won't move or accelerate when I press the throttle. Is there a setting to remove that brake activation from the display?

      @HalbknappEScooterShop  Před rokem

      this video is about how to remove the issue. in the video description you can find another possible solution (maybe you need to pull the spring).

    • @HalbknappEScooterShop

      inside where the brake lever sensor is, there is a spring that keeps the sensor in place.

    How much space is needed between throttle and brake lever?

    • @HalbknappEScooterShop
      @HalbknappEScooterShop  Před rokem

      it depends on how you like to position you throttle and brake lever.
      I think min. 0,5cm should be fine.
      Not quite sure about the minimum space needed because I am not using the default throttle anymore.

    thx,but changing the sensor is not a big deal,i have alrady change still have issue..pls show how to chek that magnet thinks what you talking about 1:10s because this is more big issue on this scooter ...thx

    • @HalbknappEScooterShop
      @HalbknappEScooterShop  Před rokem

      the magnets I am talking about are the magnets of the throttle and the brake lever. If they are too close together they may interrupt each other when throttle is pushed to far to the brake lever.
      move the throttle a little bit torwards the display for more space between throttle and brake lever.
      If this still does not work try the thing with the spring (I wrote it in the video description). I made the video before I found out that the brake sensor was ok and the spring had was the problem.
