In hindsight it was pretty smart to have Silvio or really anyone kill Adrianna instead of Christopher. The feds would immediately try and take down Christopher if they were certain he was the one who did it, and considering him being so unreliable he might’ve flipped.

If the FBI came to Liz's house, I don't know why Christopher wasn't even questioned. It is a good thing Tony wasn't questioned, because he couldn't even keep his story straight with Carm about who dumped who. "You know what I mean" wouldn't fly with the feds.

1:37 Carmela's face when Tony was about to talk to her about Domestic Violence is fucking GOLD XD She's like, "Tony Soprano talking about Domestic Violence? Oh I can't WAIT to hear this."
Tony always rummaging for food
He's trying to occupy himself by keeping the buzz going. He's either gambling on the horses, banging women, stealing wine and eating. This is what happens throughout the episode.
Like a bear at a campsite...
You think it was part of the script or was it improv
@@michaelmcgee2026 I heard Gandolfini wasn't even supposed to film that day. He just wandered into the studio looking for something to eat and they started rolling the cameras.
He’s a bear
00:10 hate it when u want something to eat, but nothing jumps out at you
“Sour grapes” right as he’s drinking the wine.
What a sad life Tony has. Every now and then people keep disappearing from his life and he said to have these conversations with his wife. Knowing he killed them lol
the best part is *immediately* after this he orders sil to lean on the inspector to give carmela something to do hahaha
Carmela isn't stupid, and knows where her wealth comes from. I read this conversation as her sharing the word on the street, and asking Tony: "do we have a problem?"
I wish they did more with Tonys heavy breathing. It was my favorite character on the show!😤😤😤😤
They did ALOT with it....it's literally in every scene he's in
“She WAS a sweet girl “ Tony low key snitched on himself there!
Carm knew Tony was lying, everything he said about how there was no body or evidence could apply to how he got rid of Richie's body which he admitted to her.
Chris didnt kill Ade Sil did. So Tonys right.
In actuality Tony had Adriana Killed
@SaturdayNightSlamMaster they might as well have lol
@@fascinatinglist9654 Nope, Chris technically did. He knew exactly what would happen if he went to Tony about Ade & the fbi. He couldn’t shoot her so he got Tony to clean his mess up.
@@Blondie727 but remember, we didn't actually see her getting shot. Sil may have missed and decided to get her out of town, they were right on the freeway
I miss James a lot...............what an actor............. r.i.p.
:53 Tony's like, "uhhhhh this can't be good"....
Tony's breathing, I wish they did more with that character.
1:24 Christopher "you don't have to pay for these hands they're free" Moltisanti over here 🤣
Notice how Tony says ‘she WAS a sweet girl’ talking about Adrianna in the past tense. Subtlety telling Carmella that she’s dead.
I had a girlfriend in high school. Her name was Megan. She was a sweet girl.
She's still alive.
God the writing is so subtle and well done. Especially with Tony’s slip up “he dumped her” followed by a concerned Carmella clarifying that she dumped him. Tony brushes past that little detail as if it doesn’t matter, but it’s technically true that Chris “dumped” Adriana when he sided with Tony. They also use the term “dumped” to refer to getting rid of corpses… As long as there is a grain of truth to Tony’s lies, he can confidently continue doing it. It’s almost like by lying so well he is convincing himself he can keep lying and get away with it.
Tony sniffing the vintage wine after mentioning Chris' "progress", essentially savouring the coming to fruition of his male heir which has groomed over the years... I am reminded of Thomas Harris' cannibal psychiatrist. Duh something.
Duh Something, the Whatever. Had that chateau in Paris, right?
That’s correct! Wherein he proudly displayed his prized Trompe l’oeil painting...
Is that the one that built the palace bigger than Ver-sales, where the king lived?
And they clapped the poor bastard in irons. It was sacred AND propane!
Poor Liz
Carmella "Just tell me what I want to hear to make me happy" Soprano
Tony's breathing putting in the work on this scene
God I’m so glad I’m not the only one who noticed that constantly 😂
I hate how youtube hides these videos after i binge watch borko, soprano theories, etc etc...and just when you think i was out....
They pull me back in
“ The ughh...fibers” lol
What Ton really wanted to say: "We gave her a proper burial just off the Turnpike at a wooded area surrounded by pine cones and squirrels."
as seasons went on Tony's breathing became a character it'self
He never had the makings of a varsity "breather"
This was the only time of this entire TV show Tony talked with a clear head and really made sense of a certain situation Sil was always the one who made alot of sense when it came to speaking to Tony on human level any other time Tony straight up ignore any Truth despite knowing the truth himself but Adrianna and Christopher made a horrible couple like Tony said they both was drug addicts and Adrianna never elevate Christopher as a man Tony said it best them being together was toxic
Carmella always subconsciously knew that Adriana was murdered by the mob.
As soon as he grabs a glass of wine that early in the day - he told on himself. Carmela PURPOSEFULLY not even looking at him as she knows he's lying
"Was" that's the big factor. He's got all of these tells. Huge.
"Yeah . . Uh . . Uh. Bryan Spatafore was over at the pork store and tightened up the banister and everything." Well it's nice to know that he recovered from his beating from Mustang Sally a couple of years before. 👍🏻
this only shows how good Tony has become in manipulating people because of his theraphy sessions with Melfi
In hindsight it was pretty smart to have Silvio or really anyone kill Adrianna instead of Christopher. The feds would immediately try and take down Christopher if they were certain he was the one who did it, and considering him being so unreliable he might’ve flipped.
Tony with his "acting stupid face" at the end.
I like how the show brings up OJ and Scott Peterson
That's the definition of a smooth operator 👌🍷‼️
1:22 So So True.
Tony was the man he was always two steps in front of everybody
The look Carmela gives tony when he goes off on domestic violence😭😭😭
Chase to the sound guy - "Can't you filter that fucking breathing out?"
I've come to realise that Sopranos is really just a collection of scenes of Gandolfini breathing heavily while drinking red wine and eating cold meats.
and yelling
"Where's Pussy? He was supposed to bring the gabbagool?!"
one of the best parts of the series
Love these videos
Tony left out that it wasn't Christopher who killed Adriana. It was Silvio.
Damn lol Scott Peterson was so big he made it into the show. I still remember seeing the first news reports on that whole tragedy.
Masterwork in Damage Control. Usually not Tony's forte.
Tony was right about the percantage of murders in the kitchen. He alone witnessed two murders in the kitchen! (Ralph and Richie April)
"There always is a body". Where exactly, Carmela, is the body of Richie Aprile?
The way that Tony is talking talking about forensics reminds me of how Jimmy Alteri was bringing up new ways of lifting fingerprints off of bills.
They EVEN said…
RIP James *Gandalf* Ini
That wine is from the Vipers. Recognize that label and bottle anywhere
James gawddolfini such an smashing actor sad he died young he could have kept making amazing tv shows and movies! truly a master of his craft his portrayal in sopranos one of the best ever performances!
1:18 "That's insane."
"I know" replies Carmlla.
Its the Mafia ffs, its not insane at all!!!
Carmela knew. Just another thing to overlook to keep her luxurious lifestyle
2:41
the legendary and infamous Tony Soprano BREATHING !!!!!!
Her eyes *light up* at 1:38 when Tony offers to school her on domestic violence. Great acting.
Tony was in love with the refrigerator.
tony going to get that wine to get his confidence up while telling carmella that BS says it all
Interesting Carmela didn’t realize Ade flipped. Christopher was known to beat her so much that maybe one day he went too far is the most likely assumption. Carm knows something is up. It is unlikely Adriana would just completely disappear and not talk to anyone
2:39 "let's not sabotage his progress" *kills him*
Tony reaching for the wine haha
Carmella: " Tony I could care less what happened to ade what I really want to know is how many fucking years did phil spend in the can"
"With the forensics they got now a days..." (1:55) Let's not compare the inept New Jersey branch of the FBI with a show like CSI.
2:40 “let’s not sabotage his progress” as he lifts up the wine glass, which sabotaged his progress earlier in the episode
If the FBI came to Liz's house, I don't know why Christopher wasn't even questioned. It is a good thing Tony wasn't questioned, because he couldn't even keep his story straight with Carm about who dumped who. "You know what I mean" wouldn't fly with the feds.
"With the forensics they got now adays, we'd know about it."
Like they know about Richie Aprile, who you more or less explicitly told Carm was a victim of domestic violence?
Carmella: She thinks Christopher killed Adriana.
Tony: Are you nuts? Christopher loves that girl. Sil killed her.
