The best little moment is that the landlord finds them all supposedly dead in t-shirts saying suicide squad as if they had all planned to kill themselves together.
Good catch. I didn't even put that together when I watched the first time.
And then he says "It happened again."
lmao thats gold actually, i really couldn't stop chuckling at thid and when hr says it happened again xD
Landlord even says "Another Suicide cult" in the scene 😂😂😂
YOU FORGOT THE BABY!
“What’s Jewish Lightening?”
“Probably Black Lightening’s Israeli cousin.”
I was laughing for 5 minutes nonstop and ended up out of breath with a headache when I first heard that joke.
Muhammedlee those 2 refer to burning down a place for the insurance as Jewish Lightening.

@@thedarkknight2221 oh I get it now
@@muhammedlee1627 Black Lightning is a DC character.
The way I always saw it, even before this show aired, is that Harley always had her issues. The Joker just knew how to manipulate them. Overtime, she developed feelings (or an obsession, really) for him. I like this show's take on this because they show that its not one thing or one person that makes you what you are.
I recommend reading Harleen. That's pretty much the the best origin story for Harley and it shows how she became Harley quinn
Everyone figures out the "twist" immediately, but they pull a switcheroo and make her realizing she's always been in control the real twist. That's brilliant writing.
To me the twist was the complete change of her origin story. People imagine it's when she took on the Harley aesthetic, but it's actually when she made her own independent decisions as Harley.
Re-understanding how you see your self and life is important.
Fun fact: Sy Borgman is actually an canon comic books characters, he first appeared in 2014 Harley Quinn Vol 2 #2
Except hes MUCH better in the comic
@@AlephSharp Exactly!
"Well hello. It is I, Franky Muniiiiiiz !"
This line was playing in my head every day for weeks after I saw that episode. Clayface is the best.
Just noticed that he walked into the apartment to find 6 ppl on the floor not moving with shirts that say suicide squad
Frankie MUNIIIZZZZZZZZ!!!!!!
"It is just the most unlikely set of circumstances that would put me, about 70% shark, in a situation that pretty much demands a mostly-shark man!"
Something tells me Psycho doesn’t like being the butt of all jokes
He is a powerful "mentalist" and they use him as a bowling ball.
Sooner or later he's gonna be fed up with being so wasted in the crew.
BTW that actually was Frankie Muniz
12:28 Kaley Cuoco who plays Harley was in 8 Simple Rules with Katie Segal who played Peggy in Married as Katie's daughter. That's where the "Married" photo joke comes from. Doesn't hurt that Kelly Bundy was also a blonde like Harley.
Fun Fact: In her original incarnation (B:TAS), Harley was NOT a blonde; she dyed her hair.
@@quwykxz If Harley wasn't a real blonde in TAS how come her roots never grew out when stuck in Arkham?
@@Vipre- _"If Harley wasn't a real blonde in TAS how come her roots never grew out when stuck in Arkham?"_
I suppose the shrinks decided to let her keep dyeing her hair?
Sidenote: It's interesting that it's become so ingrained that Ivy is a redhead when originally she was as brunette as could be.
@@Mansplainer2099-jy8ps Not a woman here, but doesn't going light to dark involve dye while dark to light usually involves chemicals like peroxide or bleach? I mean giving chemicals to criminal mental patients might explain why there are so many breakouts at Arkham so maybe it's true.
@@Vipre- Good point but she was so tame back then she was even released from Arkham.
Harley Quinn started off as a one off character in Batman the animated series (she wasn't in any comics before then), but fans liked her enough to make her a reoccurring character and she eventually was developed into her own character and became really popular. One of those rare cases when a character not based off source material actually becomes a huge hit.
Harley is not really such a "rare case", there have been quite a few characters that didn't start in comics, but became popular enough to be included in comic book continuity, eventually.
Some examples are:
From Marvel - Firestar, X-23, S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent Phil Coulson, and Morph.
From DC - Livewire, Jimmy Olsen, The Wonder Twins.
Other - The Green Hornet, The Shadow, and BeBop and Rock Steady (from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles).
And again, these are just SOME of them, not all, just the ones I could remember right now, off the top of my head; I'm sure there are A LOT more to be found, if you dig around enough. 🙂
“I was just trying to give her cpr”
Three extra weeks in addition to the one week early I was already getting? Somehow I just knew I had to come here first.
I do love how, despite being our protagonist and overall a good person, Harley is still shown to be a very screwed up person. That woman showed NO remorse over wanting to kidnap her childhood crush and have babies with him.
Harley Quinn was awesome to watch and it only gets better
It is IIIIIIII, Frankie MUNIIIIIIIIIIIIZZZZ ! 🤣
I love that Rhea Perlman’s character is tall, or at least looks it.
I came to know about this animated series from you guys reaction, and just today I finished season 2...
Man this show is a lit(10/10)...
I think this is as good as the 80's Batman animated series....
Also,
Kiteman deserved better.... I feel sorry for him..
The Batman animated series is in the 90s
@@daryl772003 there was an animated one in the 80's as well, if I recall correctly.

Clayface! clayface its the best thing in this show XD him and Gordon. But being honest he always was an actor and its great that they took that approach: focus on the actor instead of the monster =D genius!
I think this is my least favorite episode. That is not to say I don't like it, the suicide squad joke was especially hilarious. The thing is that it feels a little like we retread ground of Harley breaking free from the Jokers influence. On top of that I feel like there's more we could have seen done with exploring Harvey's head. One thing I would have loved would have been seeing the genius psychologist side of her again. I love the idea that under all the crazy Harley actually is a wise, emotionally intelligent, genius. So I guess it's not that this episode was bad, but that it was good enough that I wanted more.
I don't mind re-treading ground and relapsing when it comes to Harley getting over the Joker because, honestly, that's how getting over an abusive relationship works in real life. At least, that's definitely been my experience. It's a long, messy road. You make mistakes, you make the wrong choices, you push away the people trying to help you. It takes a lot of work to put yourself back together and really learn those lessons.
If you're not looking for realistic portrayals of serious relationship dynamics and just want them to do something new and fun then I can understand getting tired of it and wanting the plot to move forward, but I think they do a good job of keeping it fun and fresh.
That Jewish Lightning joke killed me
Eric’s face at the line “my phallus is not erect”
Are you going to do Black Lightning anytime soon?
They did the first 2 seasons of it, and they liked it less and less each season (Especially Eric), so I doubt they're going back to it.
QUWYKXZ I wonder why they didn’t like it I’ll check it out
Chibi Harley is so cute 😍
Yeah, Ivy's really lucky.

Any Frankie Munez fans out there?
Yes, no, maybe. I don’t know. Can you repeat the question?
It was so funny inside of Harleys brain, but dont finshame me or I take your head into my mouth aswell
I say her Nemesis is The Joker. It just makes sense.

Is this doesn't justify killing children in horror media then I don't know what will
Looks at anakin Skywalker
Nothing ever "justifies" anything. It's made up.
@@Mansplainer2099-jy8ps so I don't need justification. Kill all children in horror media!
@@ZyroShadowPony Well, "justification" being imaginary doesn't mean consequences are. That said, the world didn't end because Dracula brings a baby home to the castle for dinner (EDIT: Or because a certain scene where taking the batteries out of the toy wasn't enough). Game of Thrones, Snowpiercer, Hunger Games and X-Men: Apocalypse do it and aren't even horror.

There's certainly a lot about this show to like. But personally, I have to give some criticism to the writing.
Its written like a kids tv show. And not one of the good ones. Themes have about as much subtlety as if they were written for 12 year olds. And while some of messages do fit well with Harley's character, they are often as basic and safe as you can get. The amount of times they do the "friendship is the real treasure" bit without a hint of irony is just absurd. And its given about as much critical examination as you would get from an episode of Sesame Street.
And I wouldn't mind this, if the show itself knew what it was. Maybe I'm misreading but it seem to me that the show considers itself much more mature than it actually is. "Friendship=good, abusive relationships=bad" is about as deep as any commentary gets here. Nothing about the show is strictly bad, is just not very deep. But maybe its not trying to be.
Don't let the violence, sex jokes and swear words fool you. This show is about as mature as a middle school playground. Humor is on point though.
