"The biggest bust in NBA history" doesn't make all-star appearances. Ben is a tragic story but he certainly wasn't a draft bust.
I still dont understand why they dont use him to pass on a team full of shooters. Like or hate him he can still be successful with the right system. But modern nba wants all players to adjust to it.
He had that in Brooklyn. His teammates were KD, Kyrie, Seth Curry, Cam Thomas, and even Patty Mills.
There was this player named Anthony Bennett that was out the league super fast. That would have to be the biggest bust.
Simmons has had multiple back surgeries. I don't understand how people hate on him for that.

My definition of bust's are guys like Greg Oden and Anthony Bennett, they didn't accomplish anything in the nba, but Ben Simmons was an all-star, rookie of the year and made a couple of all defensive teams, so at least he lived up to "some" of his potential and in my eyes he's not a bust like them.

Simmons is honestly a good to great player depending on what type of system he’s playing in. I mean in Brooklyn his own coach came out and stated he had no idea how to play Ben, just because he’s a poor shooter. If your coach can’t work out how to use you, when you’re a pass first off the ball slashing big with all NBA first team defence (2 times) and incredible court vision then what the fuck else are you supposed to do!? Not every player is either a 3 and D or volume shooter, there’s nuance to the game and Ben is that type of player. I mean Magic Johnson shot below 30% (and sometimes 20%) from three his first 9 seasons, imagine that with todays media, do you think he’d just be able to handle the mental barrage of negative media on a nightly basis and play through it? I don’t.
The heavy media negativity has clearly affected him and there’s probably no going back. The injuries don’t help but ESPN are out here helping to ruin players futures for the content , Westbrook is another perfect example.

Ben Simmons is no doubt the biggest NBA bust ever! There has been other no 1 guys but those guys didn't have the talent and skill of Ben Simmons. This guy had the size, passing, ball handling etc. He was a lock Hal. Of famer if he would of just played 10 years averaging 18 points, 10 assist and 8 rebounds. But he decided to choose * wholes* over hoops! Ben Simmons is everything wrong with today's young people!
Definitely not the biggest best as he was a all star caliber player for a few seasons and was at least a solid starter.
