  • The Ranger gets a redesign for 2024 from Ford. On the outside you will discover a new look, 18in wheels and LED lighting. On the inside you will be greeted by a new portrait style infotainment screen and 12in digital gauge cluster. Under the hood is a 2.3L turbocharged inline-4 that is mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission. Is the 2024 Ford Ranger Lariat the BEST new truck to BUY?

Where are all the cheap work trucks? I'm talking $15k base price. The world has lost it

  • @Pauliepsi

Why the hell is it 4600 lb? 45k is way too much for a compact pickup. This is not a midsize vehicle. It has to have a 3.0 l turbo option. You can buy one of these used 2.3 motors for $3,000, and a remanufactured 10-speed for less than 2k. You can get a 2-year-old one for $20,000. There is no value in this truck.

Ford just released the 2.7 engine option for the ranger xlt lariat.

46k? Ford has lost their mind

  • @brianmola711

If I were someone that wants this truck, and specifically the XLT and Lariat trims, wait until sometime this summer. That’s when the 2.7L V6 XLT and Lariat Rangers should hit Ford dealers. I’d massively prefer that over the 2.3L turbo 4.

I work at the Ford dealership. And I took quite a bit of time today specking one out.. the best way to go for sure is the XLT with the FX4 package.. I think a decent value for around 43 to 44000. No one has mentioned that the XLT even has power folding outside mirrors. The base sound system is also very good when paired with bluetooth... I was skeptical about this truck at first but it's really really growing on me.. especially after a customer brought their 24 Colorado trail Boss in to show me.. very very cheap and plasticky.. 👎

I like how they have made these comfortable to drive on the highway. I believe that those who choose the Ranger, will not be disappointed. 💙

    $51,000 ? Ford make $8500 per unit. !

  • @JPjaybird

You can get a 2.7 v6 in the ranger xlt or lariat

  • @ivanlowjones

Thanks for zonking that rubber stick antenna, Joe. No shark fin antenna in 2024 is a zonk for sure.

  • @jameshartfiled8119

This ranger looks so much better than the previous ranger. And I do believe that Ten sp transmission gonna really do its job.

  • @MyGuyJustinH

I gotta go with the Ford Ranger, Joe. I've always been a fan of the Ford Ranger & I was sad when they discontinued the Ranger in the US, but I was so glad when they brought it back to the US.

  • @omarcortes5754

This time I prefer the Ranger over the rest of midsize trucks. Different engine options to choose from, the interior is a bit more spacious and the price range is really good.

  • @chrisgelo1425

I like the changes they made to the Ranger Raiti. Can't wait to see the 2024 F150 review next, brother! 👌

  • @pewpewtactical5288

Loved the O.J. Reference in the middle of the review 😂

  • @RichNationProds

I totally agree about the Sunroof. or lack thereof

  • @lordrayden3045

How is a bed liner not standard?

  • @douglasgraham8721

The Ranger has the 2.7L as a engine option with the 2.3L , iv also read that the Ranger FX 4 and FX4 tremor will follow into the 2024-25 model , and new trim level may be in works using the 3.0L.from the raptor , hopefully they will revise the rear bench to a 60/40 split and rethink the lockers to hard button over the screen

I ordered an XLT in early April after spending a lot of time comparing the Ranger with the Colorado. Watched quite a number of videos that compared these trucks with the Tacoma and Frontier as well. I really like both trucks, and while the Ranger doesn't have as much HP and torque as the Colorado, it still performs just as well and got a little better fuel economy. The import trucks really lack towing and payload capacity which is important to me. I mostly found minor trade-offs between the Ranger and Colorado in features, but they both drive and ride comparably well.
