  • The Ghostbusters are still on the trail of Slimer in our ongoing campaign of Ghostbusters: The Board Game by Cryptozoic Entertainment. In this third scenario of the first campaign, The Slimer Situation, Peter, Ray, Egon and Winston have to close the spirit world gates in Akyroyd Park. Unfortunately they can only be closed by feeding them a captured Boogaloo Manifestation, which so far the team has been unable to catch.
As always, this is a co-op game played by myself and my three kids. All the ghosts that start on the board have been painted (as well as some in the spirit world), and we have some custom fences to help us see the obstacles between the board sections.
So after this there will just be the final battle with the ugly green spud himself. Leave a comment below if you have any questions, observations or concerns. We are ready to believe you.

Thanks. The scenarios are getting more difficult, but so far we are staying on top of it. I imagine the other campaigns will be harder still.

Always appreciated. I reviewed the video while painting a Chaos Spawn myself.

@@dmgashbad4908 Have you had time to look at The Old World yet?
Damn! Much better than I dared to hope for! I love it! But then again I always loved 6th Ed and I would say it is an improved 6th Ed with the pre-measure and no guessing. But the rnadom charge, a little more reasonable..
I can even lvie with the magic.. And base sizes. I am not worrying about that now. Not caring. Might get spacers later.
But it feels like 6th Ed did at the release, with Ravening Hordes. That kind of power level and stuff beeing reasonable.. I lvoe it actually. And I am always backwards and grumpy... ;)

That’s great. I’ve only gotten the basic information so far. Pros and cons like with every new edition. I like the reduced charge ranges, not so keen on the lack of step up. Animosity actually seems worse now, forcing charges half the time instead of only 1/6th of the time. There’s a lot of situations with my Orcs and Goblins where I’d much rather not charge, like in the last battle report against the High Elves. Skeptical about the power level of characters, especially on big mounts. I preferred 8th ed’s emphasis on troops. But the gaming group is meeting this Saturday for a game of Twilight Imperium and I’m sure we’ll talk about it then and I’ll get an idea of their level of enthusiasm.

@@dmgashbad4908 Yeah characters on mounts seem quite powerful. Also curious how that turns out.
The Animosity thing might be annoying.. But i think I prefer this over the old one.. But not sure. Old Animosity was annoyingly fun, somehow..
That emphasis on Troops in 8th Ed did not really manifest here.. I did not really play.. But what I saw was more monsters and monstrous units than I was used to. I like that idea. I think Core should be more than it is in TOW for example..
Loads of people are too into the shiny stuff and think Core is something annoying..
I was like that as a kid maybe, but not now..
It feels much more fun trying to make even the lowly Goblins tactically do sound stuff.. very satifying..
Hope you get to try and get some nice discussions on it!
