- Here's your first look at a new Ghostbusters game. Friday the 13th and Predator: Hunting Grounds developer IllFonic has revealed Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed, a new 4v1 asymmetrical multiplayer game that is set to be released on PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, and Xbox One in Q4 2022.

Given how well they did with Ghostbusters: The Game back in 2009, it doesn't surprise me one bit that they came back for this one.

The last time we got original Ghostbusters in a video game, we got Ghostbusters (2009) and most fans agree that it was the best Ghostbusters game. This definitely looks like a proper sequel!
Maybe for the nintendo wii version this looks like garbage compared to 2009.
@@mikemoss9559 It is garbage. It's nothing BUT a multiplayer game. It's the EXACT same game that Evolve was. 4 player team vs a 1 player ghost.

We get to be Ghostbusters-in-training, Winston acts like Morgan Freeman, Ray finally gets to be the master of dimensional knowledge he should've been decades ago, & we get to play as a ghost! This is what we fans have been waiting for all our lives!! SOMEBODY PLEASE GIVE THIS TO ME NOW~!!

Looks too cartoony,..much prefer a sequel to the excellent 09 Ghostbusters game not this play as the ghost multiplayer crap,..a singleplayer story focused game would be so much better in all aspects...definitely not what the fans have been waiting for
Honestly. Ghostbusters is the fantastic franchise for that 4v4 sort of pvp thing or pve. I'm into this

This actually looks pretty cool. The 4v1 format matches up perfectly with this. Can't wait for the Kinda Funny streams. Cause you know Greg is gonna force them to play. LOL

Having the original (real) actors doing the voicing makes all the difference in the feel and quality of the game. Including visual likenesses. This looks great

@@troaaxaltion yeah because a lot of the people including Dan Ankroyd (most likely said his last name wrong) worked on that game. Also it's canon in the Ghostbusters universe. Considered it Ghostbusters 3.

Typically in these games it will always be a real person, either friend or random
It's dead by daylight except Ghostbusters style. So it'll always be a human on the ghost side.

It's actually cool that Sony doesn't demand the Ghostbusters games to be exclusive to PlayStation. Everyone that's a fan of the IP can play them :)
If it isn’t a big enough game to sell PlayStation consoles there is no reason for Sony to limit sales and profit to their own system

The remaster of the last GB game was so fun. The only thing missing was co-op. Hope this is the game I've been waiting for

Now this is something I've always wanted. We may not be able to drive the Ecto-1 but the first person view makes up for it
Imagine if they have a couple of chase levels where you drive the ecto one vs the stay puft in the streets at night, or vs the ghost cabby in the daytime.
Visuals actually look great! Well-chosen art style for this.

FINALLY an asymmetrical game with enjoyable graphics.
Taking a sec to appreciate where we've come with textures and lighting in games. The character models arent the best or most complex but give them great textures and lighting and it gives it a little somethin that goes a long way in making it look cool and fun

Looks cool but I'm kinda tired of these Assymetrical multi-player games, would really enjoy a solid single player campaign that doesn't require me to be online. Still looks like fun regardless dunno if I'll pick it up just due to the fatigue.
There was a Ghostbusters game that's a single player campaign that came put a while ago. The story was actually written by the movies writer so it's actually part of the Canon, it has all of the original actors voicing it too

If they deliver on this successfully, it could end up being an actually great & enjoyable game. This looks like everything a Ghostbusters game could and should be.
Let's just hope the community doesn't end up like the dead by daylight community and ruin the game

Interesting. Though, people seem to be afraid to express the suspenseful atmosphere that exists at times in Ghostbusters.

Ghostbusters game can't be completed without having oFF Line Multiplayer cooperative and online multiplayer co-op campaign mode

The problem with most of the asymmetrical games is, everyone wants to be the monster. You want to be the killer in Dead by Daylight. You want to the giant monster in Evolve.
Maybe the prospect of being a Ghostbuster will mean that in this one not everyone will be queueing up to be the ghost?
Not gunna lie first saw the video and thought it was gunna be another answer the call game but this immediately won me over with the promise of multiplayer and the fact that the original cast is on board.
