- Are you having problems signing into PSN and it says the your sign in is failed??? In this video, I will show you a possible fix for "can't sign into PSN account" or any sign in failures. This has been reported as working by other people, so I hope it helps you out too! Go to your internet browser on the PC. Then go to Playstation com and sign in to your account in the upper right hand side of the screen. Now go to privacy settings and switch all these categories to no one. After doing this, try signing back into your PSN account on your PS4. ...

There are some categories in Privacy Settings where "No One" is NOT an option. You are required to choose "friends only" or "anyone"

But I can't even sign in.
It says "an error occured"
So I tried logging into my account using my pc.
Once I clicked sign in, after puttinf id and pasword, the site started flipping out.
Just loaded halfway, started back over. And kept doing this, non-stop.
So I tried using my phone.
Same problem.
Tried the ps4 browser, same problem.
Tried my friend's phone, laptop and pc, same problem.
This all started with a notification this morning while I was watching netflix. Suddenly I got logged off because apparently I logged on a different system using my account.
Imediately I went to my account setting, wanted to check if my ps4 was still primary, it wasn't. So I clicked it again as primary, suddenly got logged out completely and haven't been able to sign in since.
And customer servive is completely useless.
So if someone has a solution, I'm all ears.

Well i may be alittle late but a guess somebody hacked your account so you need to change your pasword just go to the website click trouble signing in and forgot pasword then follow instructions they'll send you a email to reset it and you'll get your account back just jump in to your ps4 and sign in your welcome

@@Susgxo I found a way to fix this, I turned off my ps4 I waited a couple hours and then I turned it back on and connected to my internet, once I connected to my internet I signed into my psn from my ps4, when you do that go to your phone/pc and go to playstation.com and sign in and you should be able to change your privacy settings now.
Oh so this is a thing thats happened this recently? I started having connectivity issues on memorial day, then by wednesday night ive been locked out with all this. Im trying it now. So essentially we're not going to be able to get friend requests, invites, etc. Why would this be a thing?

GUYS GUYS I FINALLY FOUND A WORKAROUND.
Completely turn off your PS4 and hold the button to turn it back on and as you hear the first beep to turn on the PS4, hold the power button until you hear a second beep. Your PS4 will be in safe mode and press “Install system software”It should say that you need to update your PS4 software to 7.02. Let your system reboot and you should be back online.

@@rickywelsby3457 well, i've just fcking figured it out lads!!! change your email address and then change it back and verify it...... that simple, or go onto your psn on laptop etc, and look on account settings if theirs a blue button hover over it and check to see if there's anything like "change this or that" and blah blah like email etc thats the reason mine didnt work
right so as of 8/1/2020 or 1/8/2020, it won't let me sign in. the error code is NP-40834-9. Sign in is okay on PS3 and Playstation website, cant access account settings on website, comes up with the connection to server has timed out. tried multiple times. apparently many people have this exact same problem according to websites like Down Detector. So if anyone is reading this any advice? , if not get the word out as it could be on Sony's end.

@@shehabmohy2917 i just fixed it today, what i did was unplug the ps4 altogether cable and everything, unplug your router/modern and leave it for about 20-30 mins then plug everything back in and see what happens. i believe if you get the error code NP-40834-9, its something to do with the PS4 IP address being corrupt or something . doing what i said with refresh the IP and give it a new. hope this works pal all the best. ^^b

You could go into account management on settings and click sign in or hold the playstation button until side screen pops up. Go to friends and sign into playstation network

However, I have 3 accounts saved on my ps4, mine, my daughters and niece...If you have another account log into that, not your own, if you can login normally then your own or main account is "corrupted", is why you recieve these messages, but do not worry you will eventually login into your account. I was told with lockdowns going on everywhere there will be major internet usage surges going everywhere causing sony playstation to play up.
I had to be patient and then an hour later I was able to login into my own account. I hope this made sense and hope it helps.
