They don't as they are a waste of time. PS4 has no air intake on the underside of the console. All air is taken in through the vents on the front and sides.

I use Small Lego Blocks under my console xD
I use a tall stand to put the router below the PS4.
You my friend are a genius!!
I put my play dough container
I took the Lego idea a bit further, I built a stand with Technic which holds my PlayStation secure and 2 inches of airflow underneath.
What does it do? There isn’t any vents under the console as far as I can remember
I find keeping the console vertical using a vertical stand gives better airflow and greatly reduces dust as well..
That zoom feature is pretty useful if you want to view some textures up close.

Got the first gen PS4 when it first came out. Eventually buying a remote storage for it. I've always ran a box fan near it to keep it cool. I've never heard the internal fan at full rpm. Ive cleaned it internally only a couple times. It still works as it did when I got it in 13.

Wow, I had no idea about the zoom function, the pad reset nor the turning off vibration on the system level. I hate vibration and some games don't have the option of turning them off and it is also annoying to change every game setting to off. This is an amazing tip. Thank you.

Draconic YT it’s not tho. It’s because your PS is having to use all its CPU and everything else to run the game so the fan gets loud and shit. Not because it’s not getting air circulation. Plus, there’s no vents underneath.

Probably not. May be some dirt and grime in your analog sticks. You would have to tear down your Controller and open the 2 latches of the analgo stick. This could need some cleaning. Did tha myself several times and worked 100%. But i cant guarantee for anything. There are some tutorials online.
My friend once told me to blow into the sticks and it worked really wellz, try it.
I used to do that too. But usually its not a long time fix. Its not that hard, maybe you give it a shot. You just have to be careful and you will be good.
If your controller has persistent and constant centering or drift issues, this most likely means you need to CLEAN the controller contacts. Resetting the functionality is for simple calibrations are more importantly, connectivity.

You can use the double sided tape and Legos
I made my own raised platform for my PS4 Pro to help with cooling, out of the cardboard tube in the middle of the toilet paper roll/ kitchen paper roll long enough to make 4 upright tubes of approx 3 inches / 75mm in height and a cardboard cereal box.
Cut out a triangular notch approx 1inch/25mm at the top of each of the toilet roll tubes then make 4 triangular scaffolds approx 1 inch /25mm in width (3 inches in total then folded into the triangle scaffold) out of the cereal box and fit them into the notches, tape them into each corner of the toilet rolls so they are secure and don't move about, a very simple and very cheap way to help with the cooling for your Playstation or any other console.
