I have narrowed it down to the network not prompting my main account to accept the new TOS from the 5.0 update. Before tonight the last time I used PSN was in 2015
I felt so depressed because I was having this same problem and nothing here was working. It seems the best solution is to change everything you can possibly change on your account via. the website or app, delete your user, and then remake it. The cause of the problem seems to be varying but if anything on your account was done with some sort of glitch (such as only having a middle name, 3 of the same language, etc.) it will not allow you to log in and may even cause an error when trying to load your own profile.

There is an PSN schedule maintenance for 7/29/2018 12am-12pm and 08/01/2018. They may have shut the network down for some if not all accounts until they finished. I guess we have to return to the world for a few days.

Same thing just happened to me... apparently it is an issue from the network router(internet) . So what i did was I switched off my wifi( internet) and then i used my mobile data and logged into sony and changed my password... then i put in the new password and boom it worked....

You will need a support ID. Go to the website click account. The bot will help. Be sure to say no you don’t have access. Then call customer service and it will prompt you to put in an ID number. This is how u will speak to a rep.

I’ve fixed this issue! If you delete your user from that ps4, and then try and sign back in, it should make you set up account as primary account for this PS4 and then should log you back in

I'm having the exact same problem. When I try to log in it says "error occured" When I try to log in with my phone or pc or laptop, the site flips out on me after I entered log in and pasword. It just reloads the same page halfway non-stop. Once it loaded half way, it just starts over. It's so weird. This morning (March 1st 2020) everything worked fine. Was watching some netflix when suddenly I'm logged out and on the screen it says: "you've been logged out because you logged in to a different ps4." That's when the problems started. PlayStation themselves made a post saying that they’re aware of the servers going down and they are undergoing it right now so it shouldn’t be too long before we can sign back in
You have to call to your internet provider and open some ports of the red, look the ports on the support page of PlayStation, select the page that says troubleshooting network, select ports for ps4 and you have to open the UDP and the other one as well, just call and it works!

I just fixed this today. Go check ur email (and the spam) associated with ur account. See if you got an email where they say the email associated with ur account has been changed. They actually dont require you hit verify (which is kinda messed up) Odds are someone else logged in and changed the email associated with ur account. Happened to me. I called customer service, told them I didn't authorize it, they put the account back onto my email after I verified some basic stuff. Then I added a passcode and heightened my security, made my password way different and longer. They sorted me out over the phone surprisingly quickly. (like 10 min) Good Luck!!
It’s not that hard just turn of ur ps4 and wait until it’s shut for good than hold the turning button and once u here peep don’t let go than wait like 10 second than u will hear another peep than let go. After that take out ur ps4 charger and put in the ps4 than ur controlling than click on the PS on the control than go to the 3rd one that says update than go to network update than start updating like it takes 5 min than u should be good to go.

This is exact what is happening to me right now. Can’t even turn on & watch CZcams for my son.
You have to call to your internet provider and open some ports of the red, look the ports on the support page of PlayStation, select the page that says troubleshooting network, select ports for ps4 and you have to open the UDP and the other one as well, just call and it works!

Try unplugging everything from your ps4 and plug everything back in

Pinned comment was deleted by author. I did this from the Playstation site and it's what worked for me
1. Go to SETTINGS > ACCOUNT MANAGEMENT > PRIVACY SETTINGS
2. Select the Feature you'd like to Settings for (Choose all 3)
3. Change selection to NO ONE and save

I just fixed this today. Go check ur email (and the spam) associated with ur account. See if you got an email where they say the email associated with ur account has been changed. They actually dont require you hit verify (which is kinda messed up) Odds are someone else logged in and changed the email associated with ur account. Happened to me. I called customer service, told them I didn't authorize it, they put the account back onto my email after I verified some basic stuff. Then I added a passcode and heightened my security, made my password way different and longer. They sorted me out over the phone surprisingly quickly. (like 10 min) Good Luck!!
It’s not that hard just turn of ur ps4 and wait until it’s shut for good than hold the turning button and once u here peep don’t let go than wait like 10 second than u will hear another peep than let go. After that take out ur ps4 charger and put in the ps4 than ur controlling than click on the PS on the control than go to the 3rd one that says update than go to network update than start updating like it takes 5 min than u should be good to go.
