My absolute favorite from So Long Dixie. Part 2 releases today. All 3 songs written by Austin. And, yes, that is his lady Amberly.

Love this song!!! It’s an original written by Austin after his breakup with a longtime gf. He met Amberly after. Now it continues with….a proposal maybe?!! I love Tim’s voice in this. He’s really good in this isn’t he?! Glad you liked this. It’s so good! 😃
This is one of three songs from the last album So Long Dixie. This one was written about 5 years ago, when Austin was deeply depressed after the breakup with his previous gf. He's talked about that time and feels that his lady Amberly helped him back "towards the light". Amberly plays the dancing Sign but this takes place in Dreamland, so is not anything real. So Austin doesn't catch the girl, but gets the sign he was looking for.
Chapter 2 was just released to day. The song is the stunningly beautiful Stargazer Lilies, a song he write for Amberly when his long period of waiting had come to an end and they had not been dating for long. The new video is far more subtle than it appears. I won't spoil it for anyone who hasn't seen it! The director Sasha Levinson is brilliant. Austin and Amberly said they really appreciated the difference made by a woman director and how she wanted to tell their story using the songs but not in an obvious illustration. The symbolist monochrome is really powerful.
Musically, it's hard to think of a KINDER performance. The guys seem tactfully aware of Austin's feelings and speak them for him with great compassion. We seem to have gone in different directions on Tim's voice - I used to think his bass was OK, but now prefer Chance in those lower areas, while this was for me in the best part of Tim's voice. There is a great honesty and sensitivity in his performance, to me reminiscent of his singing in another Austin original, Lonely Girl's World.
Shout out to Darren Rust, producer and 6th HF member, who works on these originals with the writers and always delivers the goods.
Why are your comments so lengthy? And do you have to say how depressing it was for Austin after he broke up with Olena he's happy with Amberley now.

A fantastic song written by Austin
Beautiful lead, the best harmony, the great background vocals, the awesome bass (Chance) and the incredible good vocal percussion take you completely into the story. And then the brilliant video with the light rays and the woman (Amberley) in her white dress which makes it like a magical dream.

This is such a beautiful, spiritual song. Of course the singing, harmonies and beatboxing are perfect! Austin wrote this and his lady Amberly is ethereal dancing in the moonlit fog. The owl only adds to the dream aspect of the video. Austin, Tim and Chance all have such different song writing styles that now I can usually tell which one of them wrote it.

They just dropped part 2 today. Stargazer lilies is incredibly beautiful and also written by Austin. He wrote this one years ago after a breakup with a long time girlfriend. He was in a bad place.
This is a song that Austin with Andrew Tufano and one other. The second one was released today. The girl in this video was his beautiful girlfriend Amberly. I really love how this one was done so hauntingly beautiful. Always enjoy your reactions to these guys.
I think they've recently gotten married because when he talked about the video that he called her his wife.

Better to wait for She Loves Me, coming from Austin in a short time. Hers Ain't Mine is a bit of nonsense, tho Austin has got very excited about it. Far From Any Road is perfect for Adam Chance, with the haunting voice of Mercy Bell and percussion by Adam Rupp.

Haha, you should just record the reaction to Part 2 now, since it came out today. Instant gratification!! I don't mind a two-fer. LOL
yes, that lady, it;s been revealed that was Amberly, Austin's lady of about 2 years or more.....I hope it ends with a proposal. Austin is the last bachelor in the ground as Chance & Sami married last May, just a year ago. The next chapter comes out at 1pm (eastern time) so that's just an hour and I believe it's going to be the song from the So Long Dixie album called "Stargazer Lillies", which I understand is Amberly's favorite variety of flower.
They have in fact been together for 3 years, plus a year or so of friendship (no benefits) before that. Austin is certainly leading up to something, shielding the song he calls his Mona Lisa with a silly country song (which btw I hate), both of them much more open in talking of their feelings. I suspect that the trilogy will not resolve anything and that when people leave them alone they will arrange a small quiet wedding when we least expect it

Love this song written by Austin before he had met his girlfriend Amberly. It took me a while to realize it is a dream and fits well as the first song of the trilogy. Austin and Tim are becoming superior songwriters !!

Hello, just realized I hadn't seen you for a while. Happy to see you did the #1 of this trilogy. Can't see you did 2 and 3, which continue on about Austin finding his true love. These are all written by Austin. You must finish this trilogy! They keep getting better! I agree about Tim singing high. I hated it at first just because he is such a great bass. And then it got better and better hearing it and Chance kept getting better and better in the bass. Still love Tim most as a bass, but what a range!! Hey, glad I found you again. Was watching old reactions of One Man Band which I love and there you were. Checked on your site and saw this the last one of Home Free you had done a few weeks ago. So can't wait to see you react to Trilogy 2 and 3. Take care!

Having seen the second video, it's amazing(!) but not the song I was anticipating would be Chapter II. Now left to wonder what they'll surprise us with in the third. My one criticism of this video is wishing they'd gone slo-mo with Amberly's scenes. Even more dream like. I'm not a fan of Tim's really high register. He's certainly capable but his going softer, here, paired so nicely with Rob (the master of 'silky') and really suited the message and mood of the song.
