Same here. They drop charges, reduce fines, extremely low bonds, and for repeat offenders give probation of 1 year to run current with the all the other current 1 year probation orders they are already on. The worse they are the better deals they get.

Some of these rural troopers are working out of their cars and not offices. They have to carry all of the usual stuff, plus all of their paperwork and files. Give the guy a break, he probably doesn’t have to wrangle and arrest people very often.

He even had a whole testing kit for different substances, documents for everything under the sun, safety gear, snacks for the day. You name it, it was in there. When you’re patrolling a large rural area you’re too far to go back and forth to a station throughout the day.

I pulled over while signaling I was doing that. Then sat and waited for the officer. Rolled my window down and gave him my ID, registration and insurance info. Then waited again. No ticket but a warning. Then on my way. Maybe I did it wrong. LOL
