Bruh, the MV8000 has been my workhorse for 17 years. Very underrated/misunderstood machines. Aside from speed, they both offer superior sound crafting potential. Even though I have acquired some newer gear along the way. My MV is still my baby. Once you get your workflow down, it’s very easy to get your ideas out quickly. Definitely, my favorite to manage all my midi gear. Having a GREAT sequencer, with lots of polyphony. Keep em coming. ✌🏾👍🏾✊🏾

Would you prefer the 8800 over the 8000 ?
Was trying to cop a 8800 but i can't seem to find them at a decent price, did find a 8000 though but i am not sure what way to go ....

@@Roomer645 hope you get the mv8000 at a good price I'm getting my second one that I found cheap also and they ain't much different between the two from what I have found especially if you're looking to get the VGA out on the mv8000

Bought mine when it came out and still use it to this day! I really don’t mind the slowness though; when you’re cookin good food, it takes time, you feel me? LOL
I also have an MPC X and a Force…and I still come back to the MV! I guess you’d have to have one to really understand…
    Nice video!

You forgot to mention the 8800 had a CD burner where as the 8000 had a floppy disk drive. Also the VGA output came standard on the 8800 where as you needed to by an expansion card for the 8000. Those are a few big differences that come to mind.

They removed the floppy disc from the MV-8800. I own an 8800. One of my favorite standalone machines.

After my research, I found that you can’t save effects presets in the 8000, and you have certain presets missing in the Cosm effects and Mastering section in the 8000, crisp and bangin sound, I love my 8K

Dope video! Thanks. Most of your videos have been with the MPCs so it was cool to see you with the MV. It would be great if you made another video showcasing your workflow on the MV in the future.…And wow, how’d you get so many MVs???✌🏿

I sold it a couple of years ago because the workflow was too clunky for me.
For the rest it is a beautiful peace of equipment and i still miss the rich, warm and pristine sound that's coming out of this unit.

Totally agree with you! I still use them too, if you want to be creative then this tool has everything you need and it's great, and if you need fast production then it's PC cubase or MPCX

I had one new back in the day. I liked the unit but the sequencing could be buggy? I think the concept is bang on point though. Sometimes you just want to leave the daw and find alternatives. I might track down one as cheap as possible, then maybe pair it with an atari running cubase.
