  • I hope with this video you can see what the outcome may be for you if you're considering the surgery.
I also really hope if you had this surgery you could try and use my methods to cope with it.
I will keep uploading videos to tell you what have helped me with the complications after the surgery and how my journey is going. As this is probably for sure a lifelong journey I have ahead with struggling vision.
I forgot to mention I use justgetflux.com/ while I work in front of the computer to minimize the floaters.

Hello . Unfortunately, I had the Rolex Smile operation two years ago, and it was not successful. I have exactly the same symptoms that I experienced. I wish you from my heart a speedy recovery. I will follow you to see your health condition as a motivation for me to cling to hope for treatment. I wish I had seen this video before the operation, but this is God’s will. I advise people not to do this operation.mehdi from Morocco

You need Laserfit sclerals they are made specifically from a scan of your eye to correct the visual night aberrations you're seeing. There is only 3 laserfits in United States as far as I know but it's the only treatment I am aware of this problem. Normal sclerals do not work as they are made by guesses and estimations not a scan of your eye..

Hi David, could you clarify what kind of surgery they suggested to you? PRK perhaps? And why does it cause earlier cataracts?
I'm suffering from these complications too due to large pupils and hoping for some solution.
PS: don't get the vitrectomy, it's far too risky.

@@oscarmunoz9391 some use pupil-constricting eye drops (miotics), but they come with their own side effects and afaik, they are not safe for everyday use. For me, they cause severe discomfort but I have to say they reduce the starbursts significantly. It's worth a try at least.
The solution you're looking for are scleral lenses. Unfortunately they're expensive and a bit cumbersome to put in and out, but they're very comfortable and provide the best possible vision for cases like ours. You'll need to find an contact lens specialist that is able to properly fit you with such a lens, though.

ALL types of unregulated laser & other refractive eye surgeries (lens replacement & Implantable Contact Lens) are massively more risky than anyone is told prior, and NO SURGEON in the world can fix serious complications & I've found this out the hard way! 😡 USA FOX DETROIT weather presenter Jessica Starr committed suicide shortly after having had 'SMILE' 🙄 with this being touted as the next great advance in laser eye surgery but it damages patients just like all the other types & ALL of them are just acceptable casualties to the surgeons & industry involved in profiting so much from these ops! 🤬

This could have been avoided with a treatment like Contoura PRK where my treatment area was 9mm… also having smaller pupils help. Thankfully my doctor said I have small pupils. PRK is also less likely to have chronic dry eyes when compared to LASIK. Apparently SMILE is good for dry eyes too, but the laser cannot treat as well as the excimer laser used in Lasik and PRK.

    • @Odank
