I'm 53 years old and my eyes were at -8.00 on both eyes and with astigmatism in my left eye and without my contacts, I was at -10.00, but, I'm still recovering from the surgery and after another week, I will be at 20/20 again. In case you're still trying to decide 6 months later... Consider listening to the voice in your head warning you about the complications. Ask yourself if the potential devastation of lifelong ocular pain and distorted vision outweighs the potential convenience of not having to wear glasses. Remember you can't reverse the procedure, whether the outcome is good or bad. It's great that most people have a positive result, but if you don't then you won't care how satisfied most people are. Good luck.

Had mine today. Very easy. Granted my vision was only 20/50. I started wearing glasses/contacts about 4-5 months ago and just couldn’t or didn’t want to deal with them after 35 years of not having them.
Vision was hazy and there was slight discomfort on the drive home. I tried to nap. Couldn’t, but even after laying done with my eyes closed for about 90 min I opened them and could see damn near everything. I’m about 14 hours post procedure now and I’m dealing with some haziness around white lights. That’s it.

That’s cleared up and now everything is good. Right eye is 20/15, left is 20/20. I can read the 20/15 with both eyes open.

@@vnewto It went great! I had 20/15 vision the very next day. It was a little scary while getting it done cause you could see everything but I didn’t hurt at all. I was able to stay still and I haven’t rubbed my eyes at all. I think once you’re there and you know the risks you won’t move and you won’t rub your eye moving forward which was my biggest fear. The recovery was easy. The first day it burned like I chopped onions for a few hours I slept and I felt better. By the second day I was fine I just had dry eyes. The first week or so I had trouble seeing outside at night cause of the glare from the lights. But it’s been almost 3 weeks since the procedure my vision at night is almost 100% my eyes aren’t as dry anymore and most importantly I can see clearly now. 10/10 recommended I wish I would’ve done it sooner.

As far as pricing, I’m going to be spending $4k on it. They have payment plans. Care Credit if offered at most clinics. I would not go to the Groupon clinics because they don’t have the technology. The place I’m going for Lasik is in San Diego. Called Nvision Eye Centers. They checked the thickness of my corneas and ran a ton of tests before clearing me for the lasik surgery. Gave me some supplements to take and a bunch of eye drops to start on. Hopefully this info will help as well.
