Another glimpse to how rope access NDT technician works. A simple task of performing MPI on welds. As is usually the case when doing MPI, surface preparation such as removing paint and rust takes more effort than the actual MPI job.

Thanks. I had a work permit to use the camera. Very seldom do I get to a chance to film if working in an offshore drilling unit.

I would say it will depend on the demand in the place that you are working at. I know some rope access technician who started as a painter and then later took some courses and became coating inspectors. Take a look at NACE Coating Inspectors Program. Good luck

Depends on which part of the world bro. But it is definitely bigger than just doing plain NDT work.
