Don't Make a Boring Wood Table (DO THIS INSTEAD!)

- Step by step on how to make a traditional wood end table with custom made molding. What I think sets this table apart is the custom furniture molding. The table has some really cool custom stacked molding along the apron, under the table top, and around the bottom shelf. The table has a Doric Greek architecture feel and is definitely a statement piece in any home.

I made wooden buttons to hold the table top onto the base. If you want to see how to use table apron washers instead, then check out my video here: • Dog Bowl Stand | 2019 ...

I love the simplicity of this design. I don't have a domino joiner and may try doing this with through Mortise and tenon joints. Thanks!!
Gorgeous table! Well done Sir!
Excellent. Very good information.
Lovely. The addition of the architrave/beading elevates it above a normal square table.
That was brill...great speed, great video and well described... Thanks {I wish Walnut was cheaper in the UK)
Contemplating doing a table build so looking for ideas and the molding would give me a good reason to try my molding set out on my radial arm saw. Really made a difference on your table! Surprised you stopped making videos like this but I like what your doing , your a big help to many of us and we appreciate all you do!
I make them when I can. The challenge is that they take a lot longer to film than other videos.
Really nice table 👍🏽
I like how you presented the video of the build.
Man that turned out amazing brother nicely done, really like how you done this and the process of the video 👏👏 awesome work
Great video, good job too! Did you do anything for wood movement on the lower shelf? Sorry, newbie here!
We are all newbies at something. I didn't glue the bottom shelf into the legs. It is glued to the breadboards and those are connected to the legs. That allows the shelf to move if it needs to. Also, I made sure that the molding I applied was pretty thin so it has some flex to it. If the shelf moves a little bit the the molding will flex with it instead of breaking.
Nice build!. Whats the song you use at 5:30?
Do you have dimensions for this? Such as the final thickness of the legs, top, shelf, and aprons?
No, detailed plans are not available at this time.
Billy, you're one of the best on woodworking videos, but man you have too get rid of that horrible electronic NOISE. You can't possibly listen to that nonsense when you are working, please go back to your great instructional video's. LOVE THE TABLE
I don’t have a domino
The music is awful
Nice project, but your video is a little boring. I suggest you watch some of Morgan Hurst’s videos to get some ideas. I’ve watched videos from at least 25 woodworkers, and I think his are the best.
