If Lane, Mclagan, Jones, Wood and Stewart had not gone their separate ways, they had a stellar group on their hands. They had everything, group, guitar and frontman to lead or compete for the leadership of an era. Outstanding performance here
Typical old person comment. I’m pretty sure that people will still be listening to Snoop Dogg and the like in 50 years, while the Faces will be the answer to a trivia question. But, the music of one’s youth is always “superior” to what the kids are listening to these days, lol. Seance your grandparents and they’d say the exact same thing
Oddly we remember the bands that had staying power and the hundreds of drek bands from the early '70s are largely forgotten. So it will be in another 50 years.

"Maybe I'm amazed" is the hell of a song. Musicianship at its best. And as vocalist you really need pipes, soul and timing to do this diamond justice. Rod did it easily and his bandmates were superb. Raw, rough, loud, soulful - and come on - "Stay with me" is still one of the best opening riffs in the history of rock'n roll.
Don't Forget Ian McLagan and his unsurpassed work on the Keyboards. Everyone of the Faces were always on the top thier game. Was a shames what happened to Ronnie Lane, one of the best writers of songs there ever has been.

Loved Three Button Handmedown. It really rocks. The story behind Maybe I'm Amazed was they'd rushed out to buy the Macca original whilst on tour in the States and loved it so much, they'd worked up their own version in a couple of days. Losing You was always a Faces live number and Rod nicked it for Every Picture which Ronnie Lane was understandably miffed about. Awesome. IF just IF they had stayed together we would look back at the 70s and Led Zeppelin and the faces would rule supreme. Eagles, Fleetwood Mac, Stones all take a back seat. 5 blokes having a laugh, the dynamics and charisma is mind blowing. The most underrated band full stop
Growing up in this- I always thought the Stones were brilliant, but had their eyes on stardom as eell. The Faces IMO were ( along with the Kinks) - pure RnR lunacy, joy, brilliance and silliness. Bess them. ❤❤

Ladeez and gentlemen ..... The wonderful Mr Ronnie Lane!!
Thanks for posting this! It was really cool seeing these guys live. I love Ian Mclagan as well as the entire band. And it is a treat to see Ronnie in his prime pounding out those bass lines! I forgot how good their version of I'm losing you is. Our local rock stations don't play it anymore. I don't think they play any faces at all anymore. Gritty rock n roll at its finest!

Thanks buddy!
Sad that no talented groups shine through today.Music better in the old days!
Awesome. IF just IF they had stayed together we would look back at the 70s and Led Zeppelin and the faces would rule supreme. Eagles, Fleetwood Mac, Stones all take a back seat. 5 blokes having a laugh, the dynamics and charisma is mind blowing. The most underrated band full stop
....the coolest band ever !
I'll forever regret never seeing them live.
Growing up in this- I always thought the Stones were brilliant, but had their eyes on stardom as eell. The Faces IMO were ( along with the Kinks) - pure RnR lunacy, joy, brilliance and silliness. Bess them. ❤❤
Wow wow wow..the greatest rock and roll band ever ....sorry Rolling Stones
Oh c'mon now 😋
Esto si que es Rock and Roll!! Los Faces 💙🇦🇷!!
It's been said that what makes later Rod sound all the worse is that he was once so frigging good.
Saw this tour at another venue, the best rock & roll band during this time ... Stones were taking notes on this guitar riff, then imported Ron Wood / Ronnie Lane was the man RIP.
Oh god they were amazing they were My heros lovely memories lads ,
Sir rod at his best
Love this crew!
Maybe I’m Amazed melted my face. Good lord why did I just discover this?
I always wondered where the Black Crows got their inspiration. Now I know. Damn they were good.
This is a tragically underrated band.
Not by those of us that were there!
My favorite set list. Perfect.
