Shallow whities would be awesome. I paddle the north shore in spring. Should have brought y fly rod one year. Can you imagine whities nailing a mayfly? Were you there in May?

How deep does the basin get that your fishing the side of? Do I need to be targeting shoals/flats along deep water areas? Am I looking for areas near weedy bays, beaches, gravel? Near creeks, rivers or current of some type? Thanks.
