2020 Season | Cranking Summer Walleye

Catching walleye in the middle of summer is often a challenge as fishing deep with live bait or even fishing after dark seem to be the only ways to catch them. However Kevin Lavers from Merland Park Resort doesn’t agree and shares his shallow cranking method that fills the Lund with walleye any time of day!

My wife took me to Merlands couple years ago for opener for my birthday and Kevin set us up on a perfect trolling shoal and we were slamming walleye all morning and him and wife filleted all our eaters and had a sweet fish fry that night! Great people, and even better knowledge of the Bay.
