Two GOAT's. Illmatic & Reasonable Doubt = top 2 hip-hop/rap albums of all time.
JAY-Z & Nas >>>>> Kendrick Lamar, Kanye West, Biggie, 2PAC, Eminem, 50 Cent, Rakim, André 3000, Lil Wayne, Scarface, Ghostface Killah, Drake, etc.

Yeah bro but that's not a hot take. It is very popular. If you take 99% of current lists of greatest rappers, NAS & JAY-Z are in the top two spots. In the past people put Biggie & 2PAC or Eminem (I never agreed) but nowadays the truth has emerged with the longevity of Hov and Nas. They are both easily the two best rappers of all time. Kanye West and Kendrick Lamar are the two greatest Hip-Hop artists of all time. They are different things.

I gave a minute to your list, and I can conclude you keep storytelling above lyricism and bars. That's a W list.
Why would you keep K. Dot and Lupe beside each other? Why does not J. Cole clear to be in your top 10?

@@BigBeliya For me, an MC is someone who paints pictures with words and the listener can see it
And also an MC for me is someone who is able to make concept tracks by rapping from different perspectives and someone who, at the same time, shares wisdom, gives knowledge and inspires people

@@Baatar1998 I always say this in my videos. Music is subjective. Your perspective on MC is well defined, and with that criteria, it is tough to find MCs who do that lately. Maybe that's the reason why your Top 5 are old school rappers.
With your tailored definition of MC, I don't think anyone can match the level of Nas and 2Pac.

For me it's simple: Nas influenced Jay Z, Jay Z didn't influence Nas. And if we want to talk about business and money, Floyd Mayweather probably got richer than Muhammad Alì. But who's the greatest? Muhammad Alì

This is exactly way I made this video. Fan base is confused. They always end up with the statement: Aight Nas better but Jay -Z is a billionaire and if Nas was better he would be richer.
That's why I kept this only about music. Undoubtably when it comes to business nobody better than Diddy and Jay Z
