I was holding off on switching from my V11 to this Hoover and I have to say I’m loving the change. I love cordless and bagged so this is a double win for me! I was skeptical at first because I mostly have hardwood but it hasn’t been an issue. The bright bank of lights is so helpful when vacuuming. Honestly love this

Thanks for this review, I was excited to see the performance data from your tests. We have owned this vacuum for a few months now and agree with everything from your review… we even have a rug where it is easy to push one direction but difficult the other way like you said! But overall, great vacuum with no filters to clean every week. Would definitely choose this over our old tineco a11.

This product is ostensibly an Oreck- and at one point they actually sold an Oreck version of this product, but it has (apparently) since been discontinued. This product was actually designed as an Oreck, and if you are looking for a corded upright vacuum that is basically the same as this, look for one of their products.

One thing that helps get tangled hair or string out of a roller. There is a grove that runs the entire lenghth on the roller. I take a razor blade/utility knife and run it along that grove and it releases all tangled hair and string with ease. 👍

I would look at the underside of your rugs. I have a couple in my house that are completely rubber and no holes, so when you have decent suction, the air can't pass through making it difficult to move. That may be why you're having issues on some rugs and not others.

I has seen a lot of posts about this vacuum being hard to push on taller carpet. I have the same problem and I think I have a fix. On the bottom of the vacuum there are multiple posts that feel rubberized. I put making tape over most of those areas and now it is dramatically easier to push. There are more areas that i could have tapped but what i did was sufficient. Also the wiper could be tapped over if your not worried about hard floors. I posted a pic over on reddit sub vacuumcleaners

I would not pay full MSRP for one, but with a sale on Hoover's site plus a coupon code I got mine at just about $200 and it's impressed me in every way. My only gripe is battery life - it comes with two batteries which mitigates it a little bit but especially on high the motor draws a lot of power and it will run the battery down fast.

In my testing, I did find the airflow at the head (on high speed) was actually 64.44 CFM and 53.88 CFM on low speed. I’ll have a video posted on my channel featuring my tests on this machine soon. Maybe a good idea to check if your airflow box is sealed properly? Other than that, a fantastic video as usual!

Is it just me or does this hoover look very similar to an oreck?

absurd that Dyson or gun style vacuums cost more than this. Like Tineco S3, has huge batteries. Dyson could have easily taken their uprights and convert them to cordless

Looks like this vacuum has been discontinued by Hoover. May 2023.

To be fair on the larger debris like fruit loops, that's what a broom is for.

Is there a reason most of your recommended vacuums are Shark? Is it due to sponsorship? Seems like a lot of vacuum enthusiasts stay away from Shark, but you recommend them so just trying to understand.

I'm not sponsored. I tried something like that some time ago and have decided not to go that way. I think I try to keep things varied - this is a Hoover review, right? 😉

If it counts for anything, I've found his reviews to be really trustworthy. I think a lot of the Shark concerns are about maintenance/repair/durability issues, and I can see that being a concern for industrial use, but my last one lasted for years and only went out after someone treated it like a wet vac ☺️, then I upgraded to a Vertex. The duoclean really is as great as they say it is.

$300 bucks. To steep for a one use vacuum. Questionable for delicate floors because the brush won't turn off. No hose, tools or any above floor cleaning. Super expensive bags. You will still need another vacuum for everything else. No thanks.

Bagged vacuums are less maintenance, better filtration and longer lasting but go off.
