The Director of My Policeman (Michael Grandage) said that Harry approached HIM and lobbied to play the part of Tom after Harry had read the book. Harry REALLY wanted to get that role, and after seeing the movie you can see why. My Policeman is a tragic love story reflective of the 50's in Brighton, UK. It's beautifully shot, acted, and reflective of the times. Harry was wonderful in it! Please watch it!
I believe he wanted to play the character to show he is comfortable in this type of relationship, perhaps for a certain audience💚💛
Please watch the movie, had me crying. From a book & Harry put himself forward for the role.
i think his acting in My policeman is better than in any other movies he was, maybe because he was invested in this story the most and wanted to get this role because he loved the book
I absolutely love this movie I have lost count of the amount of times I have watched this movie. It is a beautiful story and quite sad.

The film was very moving and Harry played his part well, he also appears in Don't Worry Darling which is a completely opposite part, I don't know if you have ever seen Stepford Wives but I feel it is a remake of that, Ryan I think you will enjoy that film more 😉😉

Read the book and watch the movie...I loved both of them. Harry in the role of his life. (next move would be Marvel movies until now he only was introduced in a marvel movie he will get a few movies for his character if everything goes through. His name in the Marvel movies is EROS). I hope he is going to do a rom com in the future tho.
It's a good movie but yes tragic. It's on Amazon prime. Good story and Harry did great. I remeber watching it and at the end just thinking .... yeah this is a movie where nobody wins. Marion basically is portrayed here like she was the bad guy but honestly Tom (Harry's character) does the most damage by marrying her and trying to live a double life.
As usual, you were correct the larries. They went through the whole thing even to IG Louis face over Patrick's. But the important message of the movie is WHY Harry pursued doing this film. What being gay was like in the 50s and the horrific stigma behind it. Tom's confusion of not totally understanding his feelings because being a "NORMAL" man meant marrying and loving a woman with perfect job and big house. Even if that's not trully what made you happy. They all did phenomenal jobs at portraying the young then older Tom, Marian, and Patrick. A love story of lost TIME

Don’t worry Darling was challenging too. He was in the end credits of Marvel’s Eternals, dressed as the character Eros, adopted brother of Thanos. Rumor was he signed for 5 marvel movies! We all agree I think Harry would be great in romantic comedy, but I believe he’s mentioned wanting to explore serious roles.
Yes Harry would be good in a romantic comedy movie Ryan and Nathan you guys want to watch him in the cameo role he was in for the Marvel Eternals Movie he was way better in that he is in the end of the movie.

?? compilations? As much as I loved this book (the film not so much), compilations are mostly made by fans, where they choose to tell whatever narrative they want. My point is: it's not original content and sometimes artists don't even approve it. I politely ask that you continue with your normal reactions to the artists who already have so many to cover.
