    • @TheAlmostHarmless
      @TheAlmostHarmless Před 2 lety +2

      @@gundamdunham7479 What makes a pilot good in these scenarios is their ability to accurately set up a maneuver, and crosscheck parameters (both inside the jet, as well as physical positioning in space) to make adjustments during execution.
      The basic progression of training is designed to step from reading basic aircraft parameters and correcting, to learning how to do that with more variables in baby aero (usually one plane of motion), adding more variables with advanced aero (multiple planes of motion), then going through that whole progression again with another aircraft involved. So, yes, while being good at ACM usually means you're good that those other things, it's *because* you learned how to do those other things well that you can translate the skills to ACM/BFM.

      Any Gs through the prop wash is considered asymmetric, but in this video, the aircraft went through at a lower G. Instructors and students are taught to ease off prior to going through so as to not asymmetrically over-G. 6:36 layman here .
    instead of turning why not make a small " A " type climb & dive down from top of A .
    Doing so may give shooting chance for both left n right from top while the target is still doing its circle .
    May be i may be wrong though😅 😅😅

      That's called a high yoyo, and what you're suggesting could be valid, but it depends on the aircraft you're flying.
      The reason you would do that is because you know that between you and the bad guy, your turn radius is better at a lower speed, and you want to radius fight him (nose to nose fighting) E.g. you would pitch in the vertical plane, slow down, and then fly an airspeed to drag your nose inside the circle faster than he can, fighting downward, eventually turning into a scissors and an AoA fight (one circle). The disadvantage is if you fly it incorrectly, he will start traversing around the circle faster than you will, and eventually end up on your tail by simply flying in a circle (two circle / rate fight).
      In this case though, both aircraft are exactly the same, so if the lead aircraft aircraft is flying "perfectly", and you try flying yours in a way that is disadvantageous based on the airframe design, you will probably lose if the bad guy doesn't make a mistake.
      Because this is practice, the lead aircraft usually uses a lower power setting, so that the trailing aircraft has an advantage in the rate fight (chasing the tail, two circle fight). It's a training exercise to learn visual cues as well as habit patterns.

      Mtnairpilot is correct - Aircraft with Ejection Seats have an MDC (Miniature Detonation Chord) of explosive zig-zagged into the canopy. The Ejection ‘sequence’ is a timed series of events initiated when the ejection handle is pulled, foremost of which is detonation of the MDC: This weakens the canopy to ensure that the seat (and pilot) penetrate and escape when the seat’s rocket propellant ignites and launches it. Note in the video that the highest part of the seat is behind the pilot’s head where you see two ‘spikes’ with a cross-bar. The arrangement of spikes and and MDC vary between different aircraft but the principle is always the same.These are the first thing to hit the MDC weakened canopy and ensure that it shatters so as not to impede the ejection. Remember what happened to Goose?
